Abstract

An entertainment providing packaging assembly for creating structures includes a container that comprises paperboard. A pattern is positioned on a surface of the container. The pattern defines a plurality of two-dimensional pieces. A user is positioned to cut the two-dimensional pieces from the container and to assemble the two-dimensional pieces into a three-dimensional structure.

The disclosure and prior art relates to packaging assemblies and more particularly pertains to a new packaging assembly for creating structures.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a container that comprises paperboard. A pattern is positioned on a surface of the container. The pattern defines a plurality of two-dimensional pieces. A user is positioned to cut the two-dimensional pieces from the container and to assemble the two-dimensional pieces into a three-dimensional structure.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 3 thereof, a new packaging assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 3, the entertainment providing packaging assembly 10 generally comprises a container 12 that comprises paperboard. The container 12 is substantially rectangularly box shaped. The container 12 may comprise the packaging for any item, such as breakfast cereal or the like.

A pattern 14 is positioned on a surface 16 of the container 12, as shown in FIG. 1. The pattern 14 defines a plurality of two-dimensional pieces 18, as shown in FIG. 2. A user is positioned to cut the two-dimensional pieces 18 from the container 12 and to assemble the two-dimensional pieces 18 into a three-dimensional structure 20, as shown in FIG. 3. The pattern 14 is positioned on an exterior 22 of the container 12.

Each two-dimensional piece 18 is numbered so that the two-dimensional pieces 18 are sequentially numbered. The user is positioned to couple the two-dimensional pieces 18 in sequence to assemble the two-dimensional pieces 18 into the three-dimensional structure 20. The three-dimensional structure may resemble an animal, a cartoon character, a machine, a building, or the like.

The pattern 14 defines a plurality of slots 24, as shown in FIG. 2. Each slot 24 extends into a respective two-dimensional piece 18. The slot 24 of the respective two-dimensional piece 18 is positioned to align with the slot 24 of an associated two-dimensional piece 18. The respective two-dimensional piece 18 and the associated two-dimensional piece 18 are configured to slide together to couple the respective two-dimensional piece 18 to the associated two-dimensional piece 18.

The pattern 14 defines a plurality of openings 26 and a plurality of stems 28, as shown in FIG. 2. Each opening 26 is positioned through a respective two-dimensional piece 18. Each stem 28 extends from a respective two-dimensional piece 18. The opening 26 of the respective two-dimensional piece 18 is positioned to insert the stem 28 of an associated two-dimensional piece 18 to couple the respective two-dimensional piece 18 to the associated two-dimensional piece 18.

In use, the user is positioned to cut the two-dimensional pieces 18 from the container 12 using the pattern 14. The user is positioned to couple the two-dimensional pieces 18, in sequence using the slots 24, the openings 26, and the stems 28, to assemble the two-dimensional pieces 18 into the three-dimensional structure 20.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. An entertainment providing packaging assembly comprising:

a container comprising paperboard; and

a pattern positioned on a surface of said container, said pattern defining a plurality of two-dimensional pieces wherein said pattern is configured for positioning a user for cutting said two-dimensional pieces from said container and for assembling said two-dimensional pieces into a three-dimensional structure in which the assembled two-dimensional pieces are spaced apart in the three-dimensional structure; and

each said two-dimensional piece being numbered such that said two-dimensional pieces are sequentially numbered wherein the pattern is configured for positioning the user for coupling said two-dimensional pieces in sequence for assembling said two-dimensional pieces into said three-dimensional structure.

2. The assembly of claim 1, further including said container being substantially rectangularly box shaped.

3. The assembly of claim 1, further including said pattern being positioned on an exterior of said container.

The assembly of claim 1, further including said pattern defining a plurality of slots, each said slot extending into a respective said two-dimensional piece wherein said slot of said respective said two-dimensional piece is positioned for aligning with said slot of an associated said two-dimensional piece such that said respective said two-dimensional piece and said associated said two-dimensional piece are configured for sliding together to couple said respective said two-dimensional piece to said associated said two-dimensional piece.

The assembly of claim 1, further including said pattern defining a plurality of openings and a plurality of stems, each said opening being positioned through a respective said two-dimensional piece, each said stem extending from a respective said two-dimensional piece wherein said opening of said respective said two-dimensional piece is positioned for inserting said stem of an associated said two-dimensional piece for coupling said respective said two-dimensional piece to said associated said two-dimensional piece.

7. An entertainment providing packaging assembly comprising:

a container comprising paperboard, said container being substantially rectangularly box shaped; and

a pattern positioned on a surface of said container, said pattern defining a plurality of two-dimensional pieces wherein said pattern is configured for positioning a user for cutting said two-dimensional pieces from said container and for assembling said two-dimensional pieces into a three-dimensional structure in which the assembled two-dimensional pieces are spaced apart in the three-dimensional structure, said pattern being positioned on an exterior of said container, each said two-dimensional piece being numbered such that said two-dimensional pieces are sequentially numbered wherein the user is positioned for coupling said two-dimensional pieces in sequence for assembling said two-dimensional pieces into said three-dimensional structure, said pattern defining a plurality of slots, each said slot extending into a respective said two-dimensional piece wherein said slot of said respective said two-dimensional piece is positioned for aligning with said slot of an associated said two-dimensional piece such that said respective said two-dimensional piece and said associated said two-dimensional piece are configured for sliding together to couple said respective said two-dimensional piece to said associated said two-dimensional piece, said pattern defining a plurality of openings and a plurality of stems, each said opening being positioned through a respective said two-dimensional piece, each said stem extending from a respective said two-dimensional piece wherein said opening of said respective said two-dimensional piece is positioned for inserting said stem of an associated said two-dimensional piece for coupling said respective said two-dimensional piece to said associated said two-dimensional piece.
