BACK SCRUBBING ASSEMBLY

A back scrubbing assembly for washing a user's back without assistance includes a tube that is fillable with and subsequently releases a fluid soap. The tube is biased into a compressed position having the tube rolling itself into a plurality of coils. Thus, the tube can be manipulated with a single hand. The tube is stretchable into a stretched position having the tube being elongated. Thus, the tube can extend along a user's back for washing a full length of the user's back. A sponge is positioned around the tube and the sponge absorbs the fluid soap when the fluid soap is released from the tube. In thus way the sponge produces a lather to wash the user's body.

The disclosure and prior art relates to scrubbing devices and more particularly pertains to a new scrubbing device for washing a user's back without assistance.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a tube that is fillable with and subsequently releases a fluid soap. The tube is biased into a compressed position having the tube rolling itself into a plurality of coils. Thus, the tube can be manipulated with a single hand. The tube is stretchable into a stretched position having the tube being elongated. Thus, the tube can extend along a user's back for washing a full length of the user's back. A sponge is positioned around the tube and the sponge absorbs the fluid soap when the fluid soap is released from the tube. In thus way the sponge produces a lather to wash the user's body.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new scrubbing device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the back scrubbing assembly 10 generally comprises a tube 12 that is fillable with, and subsequently releases, a fluid soap 14. The fluid soap 14 may be body wash, shampoo and any other fluid soap 14 used during bathing. The tube 12 is biased into a compressed position having the tube 12 rolling itself into a plurality of coils 16. Thus, the tube 12 can be manipulated with a single hand. Moreover, the tube 12 is stretchable into a stretched position having the tube 12 being elongated. In this way the tube 12 can extend along a user's back 18 for washing a full length of the user's back 18 without assistance.

The tube 12 has a first end 20, a second end 22 and an outer wall 24 extending therebetween, and the second end 22 is closed. The outer wall 24 has a plurality of apertures 26 each extending into an interior of the tube 12 such that the fluid soap 14 can flow outwardly through each of the apertures 26. The apertures 26 are spaced apart from each other and distributed between the first 20 and second 22 ends. Additionally, the outer wall 24 is threaded adjacent to the first end 20, and the tube 12 may have a length ranging between approximately 30.0 cm and 60.0 cm. The outer wall 24 is manufactured with any conventional means of producing a tube 12 that rolls upon itself. A cap 28 is removably coupled to the tube 12 and the cap 28 threadably engages the outer wall 24 to close the first end 20.

A sponge 30 is positioned around the tube 12 and the sponge 30 absorbs the fluid soap 14 when the fluid soap 14 is released from the tube 12. Thus, the sponge 30 can produce lather for washing the user's body. The sponge 30 extends between the first end 20 and the second end 22 of the tube 12 when the tube 12 is in the compressed position or the stretched position. The sponge 30 may be a synthetic sponge, a mesh net and any other type of deformable, fluid permeable material.

A first mating member 32 is coupled to the cap 28 for gripping and the first mating member 32 has first end 34 and a second end 36. Each of the first end 34 and the second end 36 of the first mating member 32 is coupled to the cap 28 such that the first mating member 32 forms a closed loop. A second mating member 38 is coupled to the second end 22 of the tube 12 for gripping and the second mating member 38 has first end 40 and a second end 42. Each of the first end 40 and the second end 42 of the second mating member 38 is coupled to the second end 22 of the tube 12 such that the second mating member 38 forms a closed loop.

In use, the cap 28 is removed from the tube 12 and the tube 12 is filled with the fluid soap 14. The cap 28 is replaced on the tube 12 and the tube 12 is gripped with a single hand for bathing when the tube 12 is biased into the compressed position. Each of the first 32 and second 38 mating members are gripped and the tube 12 is stretched into the stretched position. Thus, the tube 12 and the sponge 30 can be easily scrubbed along the full length of the user's back 18 without assistance. The tube 12 coils 16 itself into the compressed position when either of the first 32 or second 38 mating members is released.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A back scrubbing assembly being configured to scrub a user's back while bathing, said assembly comprising:

a tube being fillable with and subsequently releasing a fluid soap, said tube being biased into a compressed position having said tube rolling itself into a plurality of coils wherein said tube is configured to be manipulated with a single hand, said tube being stretchable into a stretched position having said tube being elongated wherein said tube is configured to extend along a user's back for washing a full length of the user's back; and
a sponge being positioned around said tube, said sponge absorbing the fluid soap when the fluid soap is released from said tube wherein said sponge is configured to wash a user's body.

2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein:

said tube has a first end, a second end and an outer wall extending therebetween, said second end being closed, said outer wall having a plurality of apertures each extending into an interior of said tube such that the fluid soap can flow outwardly through each of said apertures, said outer wall being threaded adjacent to said first end; and
said sponge extends between said first end and said second end of said tube.

3. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising a cap being removably coupled to said tube, said cap threadably engaging said outer wall to close said first end.

4. The assembly according to claim 3, further comprising a first mating member being coupled to said cap for gripping, said first mating member having first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of said first mating member being coupled to said cap such that said first mating member forms a closed loop.

5. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising:

a first mating member; and
a second mating member being coupled to said second end of said tube for gripping, said second mating member having first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of said second mating member being coupled to said second end of said tube such that said second mating member forms a closed loop.

6. A back scrubbing assembly being configured to scrub a user's back while bathing, said assembly comprising:

a tube being fillable with and subsequently releasing a fluid soap, said tube being biased into a compressed position having said tube rolling itself into a plurality of coils wherein said tube is configured to be manipulated with a single hand, said tube being stretchable into a stretched position having said tube being elongated wherein said tube is configured to extend along a user's back for washing a full length of the user's back, said tube having a first end, a second end and an outer wall extending therebetween, said second end being closed, said outer wall having a plurality of apertures each extending into an interior of said tube such that the fluid soap can flow outwardly through each of said apertures, said outer wall being threaded adjacent to said first end;
a cap being removably coupled to said tube, said cap threadably engaging said outer wall to close said first end;
a sponge being positioned around said tube, said sponge absorbing the fluid soap when the fluid soap is released from said tube wherein said sponge is configured to wash a user's body, said sponge extending between said first end and said second end of said tube;
a first mating member being coupled to said cap for gripping, said first mating member having first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of said first mating member being coupled to said cap such that said first mating member forms a closed loop; and
a second mating member being coupled to said second end of said tube for gripping, said second mating member having first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end of said second mating member being coupled to said second end of said tube such that said second mating member forms a closed loop.
