Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

For thousands of years, persons have continually tried to improve the various tools and implements used by craftsmen. As many persons have seen, some of these improvements have involved significant technological advancements. However, these persons will also be the first to admit that sometimes simple improvements provides a significant and unexpected advance.

The present invention provides a simple yet eloquent approach to a common problem that until now has not been solved.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In one embodiment, the resent invention is a bucket system comprising:

an interior cavity defined by a circumferential round wall portion, a flat wall portion, and a bottom, wherein said flat wall portion is constructed and arranged to slope inward and downward at an angle between 5-15 degrees relative to a perpendicular relative to a horizontal plane congruous with said bucket bottom.

In one embodiment, the flat wall portion encompasses a distance between 12.5 and 33% of a perimeter distance relative to an entire circumference of said bucket system.

In one embodiment, the flat wall portion encompasses a distance between 20 and 30% of a perimeter distance relative to an entire circumference of said bucket system.

In one embodiment, the flat wall portion encompasses a distance of 25% of a perimeter distance relative to an entire circumference of said bucket system.

In one embodiment, the present invention is a bucket system consisting of:

an interior cavity defined by a circumferential round wall portion, a flat wall portion, and a bottom, wherein said flat wall portion is constructed and arranged to slope inward and downward at an angle between 5-15 degrees relative to a perpendicular relative to a horizontal plane congruous with said bucket bottom and said flat wall portion is configured to encompass 25% of a perimeter distance relative to an entire circumference of said bucket system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As generally understood, the present invention provides for a bucket system configuration 10 having an internal cavity 20 defined by a round circumferential wall portion 12, a flat wall portion 16, and an interior bottom 18. Flat wall 16 is constructed and arranged with an angular offset defined by horizontal reference line 32 which substantially is congruent to the bottom of bucket system 10 and vertical reference line 30 which is perpendicular to bottom reference line 32. Angular offset x is defined as the angle formed by flat wall 16 relative to perpendicular formed by line 30. In a preferred embodiment, this angle is between 5° and 15°. Flat wall 16 is configured with an upper interior edge 12 and a lower interior edge 24.

As shown in FIG. 4, the flat wall is defined as a percentage of the perimeter relative to a complete circle without the flat wall. Circumference reference line 40 shows the portion of circle that is replaced by flat wall 16. First flat wall distance reference line 42 and second flat wall distance reference line 44 demonstrate the distance along the perimeter that flat wall 16 extends. Dimension y is the fraction/percentage of removed circumference. The inward and downward slope of flat wall 16 is specifically configured to encompass between 12.5 and 33% of the perimeter relative to the entire circumference of bucket system 10 if the entirety of circumferential wall portion 12 were a complete circle. That is to say, if wall 12 were a complete circle, as in FIG. 4, the distance of flat wall 16 would be between 12.5 and 33% the circumference of the circle. This is the length of the arc from the intersection of lines 42 and 40 to the intersection of lines 44 and 40. This arc length is between 12.5 and 33% of the total circumference. Each of the following additional embodiments follows this definition.

In another embodiment, flat wall 16 is specifically configured to encompass between 20 and 30% of the perimeter relative to the entire circumference of bucket system 10 if the entirety of the circumference wall portion 12 were a complete circle. In another embodiment, flat wall 16 is specifically configured to encompass 25% of the perimeter relative to the entire circumference of bucket system 10 if the entirety of circumference wall portion 12 for a complete circle.

The configuration is contemplated to provide flat wall 16 that will assist a user working with any of plaster, paint or concrete work.

It will allow the user to scoop material onto a putty knife or other applicable tool in a more even and uniform way then a traditional round bucket.

Being flat on one side as described herein will still allow for the contents of the bucket to be mixed.

While the invention has been described in its preferred form or embodiment with some degree of particularity, it is understood that this description has been given only by way of example and that numerous changes in the details of construction, fabrication, and use, including the combination and arrangement of parts, may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
