It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
1. Field of the InventionThe present invention relates generally to the field of cosmetics and more specifically relates to cosmetic application devices.
2. Description of Related ArtCosmetics are substances or products used to enhance or alter the appearance or fragrance of the body. Many cosmetics are designed for use of applying to the face and hair. Common cosmetics include lipstick, mascara, eye shadow, foundation, rouge, skin cleansers and skin lotions, shampoo, hairstyling products (gel, hair spray, etc.), perfume and cologne. Thus, a suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,528,154 to Yuichi Yamato relates to a makeup sponge puff. The described makeup sponge puff includes a makeup sponge puff of less frictional resistance and stiffness and no surface slipperiness, particles are adhered to a surface of a substrate sponge of closed-cell foam to form the makeup sponge puff. For example, the substrate sponge comprising is a natural or synthetic rubber, the particles are a thermoplastic resin, synthetic rubber or a thermosetting resin, and the particles are adhered by an adhesive layer on the surface of the substrate sponge.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known cosmetics art, the present disclosure provides a novel beauty blender system. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a combination beauty blender having a sponge surface and a silicone surface for application of cosmetic products including liquid foundation.
A beauty blender system is disclosed herein. The beauty blender system includes a cosmetic application device having a first-application-surface, and a second-application-surface. The first-application-surface and the second-application-surface oppose one another and define the cosmetic application device. The first-application-surface is a sponge and the second-application-surface comprises silicone. The first-application-surface and the second-application-surface are configured to be used in combination for application of cosmetic products. The cosmetic application device is configured to evenly distribute the cosmetic products on a skin surface and for blending the cosmetic products. The first-application-surface may be used for light application of makeup using the sponge. The second-application-surface is configured for application of a thick concentration of makeup.
According to another embodiment, a method of applying makeup using a beauty blender system is also disclosed herein. The method of applying makeup using a beauty blender system includes providing a cosmetic application device; applying a cosmetic product to the second-application-surface; applying the cosmetic product to a skin surface; blending the cosmetic product using the first-application-surface; and applying a cosmetic product to the first-application-surface.
For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a beauty blender system, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
DETAILED DESCRIPTIONAs discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to cosmetics and more particularly to a beauty blender system as used to improve the application of makeup and cosmetic products.
Generally, the present invention a combination of silicone and sponge to create an all in one beauty blender. One side is a sponge and the opposing side is silicone. A user can first apply foundation with the silicone side. The silicone does not absorb the foundation thus, less foundation is used. The sponge side may be used for lighter application. The silicone provides a matte application look and the sponge provides a dewy look. The sponge and silicone sides may be used in combination to achieve a desired look when applying makeup or other cosmetic products.
