Description
BACKGROUND

The Takedown Tool-E was created when Professor A'Mera Frieman was painstakingly removing her own hair extensions. After the fourth cut, Professor Frieman researched online for an easier method or device to assist in her hair weave thread removal, but there were very few videos or professional advice. Professor Frieman turned on the television to see a nature show with a hawk's beak ripping its food and thought how easy it would be if she had a plastic copy of the hawk's beak to rip the threads from her hair weave tracts. The idea formed and Professor Frieman took out her pad and pencil and sketched the hawk's beak. Then, she drew a handle coming from it. The design took more shape as Professor Frieman contemplated the multi-billion dollar beauty industry versus the everyday female hair products consumer. The device would need to be useful to salon professionals as well and be easy to use with portability. An average hair weave takedown costs up to $50 and takes a professional an hour and an everyday woman at least two using scissors. There is always an accidental nip or cut because of the blind spots in the hair tracts and threads. The device would be easy to grip. Professor Frieman completed her design and created a sample device as a prototype to perfect for manufacturing.
