Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Fields of the Invention

The present invention relates to a basket, and more particularly, to a basket including four metal sidewalls and a metal netted board connected to respective lower ends of the metal sidewalls.

2. Descriptions of Related Art

The conventional metal baskets generally includes multiple metal netted plates welded to form a basket, or composed of metal wires which are bent and welded together to form a basket. The advantages of the conventional metal baskets are that the metal baskets are easily made. However, people can see through the netted plates or wires to acknowledge the goods in the baskets. Besides, the conventional metal baskets do not have sufficient strength and can be easily deformed, especially on the sides of the baskets, due to impacts.

The present invention is intended to provide a basket that is composed of a metal board bent to form four sides of the basket, and a metal netted plate, as a bottom of the basket, is connected between the metal boards. The metal basket eliminates the drawbacks mentioned above.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a basket and comprises a metal board and a metal netted plate, wherein the metal board is deformed to form four sidewalls, and the metal netted plate is connected to respective bottom ends of the four sidewalls so as to form a substantial cylindrical basket. A space is defined between the four sidewalls and the metal netted plate. The size of the space is gradually enlarged from the bottom of the basket toward the top of the basket. The basket has four rounded corners and each rounded corner has a non-continuous portion. Each sidewall has an outward folded portion formed on the top end thereof. Multiple clips are connected to the underside of the metal netted plate.

Preferably, the non-continuous portion includes a slit defined in the central portion of each of the rounded corners. The slit extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner corresponding thereto.

Preferably, the non-continuous portion includes at least one slit defined in each of two sides of the central portion of each of the rounded corners. Each of the at least one slit extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner corresponding thereto.

Preferably, the non-continuous portion includes at least one slit defined in the central portion and each of two sides of the central portion of each of the rounded corners. Each of the at least one slit extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner corresponding thereto.

Preferably, the non-continuous portion includes a group of slits defined in each of the rounded corners. The group of slits extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner corresponding thereto.

The advantages of the present invention are that the non-continuous portion allows the rounded corners to have better extensibility and to have more deformation so as to balance the stress of the rounded corners. The non-continuous portion helps the air between the rounded corners and mold set to escape so that when forming the basket of the specific shape, the curvature of each rounded corner is identical. The rounded corners do not have any wrinkle formed thereon.

Besides, the clips may clip on transverse bars of a frame to arrange the baskets in different rows.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The basket of the present invention comprises a metal board 2 and a metal netted plate 26. Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the meatal board 2 is deformed to form four sidewalls 25 which includes four rounded corners 22 by using a mold set 3. Two ends of the bent metal board 2 are welded to be connected with each other so as to form a connection line 23. The metal netted plate 26 is connected to respective bottom ends of the four sidewalls 25 so as to form a substantial cylindrical basket. The space is defined between the four sidewalls 25 and the metal netted plate 26, and the size of the space is gradually enlarged from the bottom of the basket toward the top of the basket as shown in FIG. 6. The basket includes the four rounded corners 22 and each rounded corner 22 has a non-continuous portion 31. Each sidewall 25 has an outward folded portion 24 formed on the top end thereof as shown in FIG. 2. As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, multiple clips 40 are connected to the underside of the metal netted plate 26.

As shown in FIG. 1, the non-continuous portion 31 includes a slit 311 defined in the central portion of each of the rounded corners 22. The slit 311 extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner 22 corresponding thereto.

As shown in FIG. 3, the non-continuous portion 31 includes at least one slit 312 defined in each of two sides of a central portion of each of the rounded corners 22. Each of the at least one slit 312 extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner 22 corresponding thereto.

As shown in FIG. 4, the non-continuous portion 31 includes at least one slit 313 defined in the central portion and each of two sides of the central portion of each of the rounded corners 22. Each of the at least one slit 313 extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner 22 corresponding thereto.

As shown in FIG. 5, the non-continuous portion 31 includes a group of slits 314 defined in each of the rounded corners 22. The group of slits 314 extends to the upper portion and the lower portion of the rounded corner 22 corresponding thereto.

The non-continuous portion 31 allows the rounded corners 22 to have better extensibility and to have more deformation so as to balance the stress of the rounded corners 22. The non-continuous portion 31 helps the air between the rounded corners 22 and mold set 3 to escape so that when forming the basket of the specific shape, the curvature of each rounded corner 22 is identical even when the size of the space is enlarged gradually from the bottom to the top of the basket. The rounded corners 22 do not have any wrinkle formed thereon.

As shown in FIG. 8, the clips 40 clip the basket to a transverse bar 51 of a frame 50, so that the two baskets can be arranged to the frame 50 in two rows at different heights.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
