LOUNGE CHAIR WITH APERTURE AND ACCESSORIES
A lounge chair set, including a lounge chair, including a frame to provide support along an outer edge of the lounge chair, a main body disposed within a first portion of the frame to support a lower portion of a body of a user, a head rest disposed within a second portion of the frame to support an upper back and a head of the user, the head rest being pivotally movable with respect to the main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the head rest.
The present general inventive concept relates generally to a lounge chair, and particularly, to a lounge chair with an aperture and accessories.
2. Description of the Related ArtLounge chairs are great for relaxing by the pool or on the beach, but can be uncomfortable when people attempt to lay on their stomach as opposed to their backs, which can restrict airflow thereby, causing pain in the neck area. However, people with ponytails often experience discomfort when trying to lie on their backs on lounge chairs, as the ponytails get in the way.
Therefore, there is a need for a lounge chair that adapts to users with ponytails.
SUMMARYThe present general inventive concept is directed to a lounge chair with an aperture and accessories.
Additional features and utilities of the present general inventive concept will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the general inventive concept.
The foregoing and/or other features and utilities of the present general inventive concept may be achieved by providing a lounge chair set, including a lounge chair, including a frame to provide support along an outer edge of the lounge chair, a main body disposed within a first portion of the frame to support a lower portion of a body of a user, a head rest disposed within a second portion of the frame to support an upper back and a head of the user, the head rest being pivotally movable with respect to the main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the head rest.
The aperture may be between one inch in diameter and ten inches in diameter to allow the head of the user to be comfortably supported therein.
The lounge chair set may further include a cushion to be place on a top surface of the lounge chair, the cushion including a cushion main body, a cushion head rest connected to the cushion main body to be pivotally movable with respect to the cushion main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the cushion head rest to correspond to the aperture of the lounge chair when the cushion is place on the top surface of the lounge chair.
The lounge chair set may further include a towel to be place on a top surface of the lounge chair or a top surface of the cushion, the towel including a towel main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of an upper portion of the towel main body to correspond to the aperture of the lounge chair when the cushion is place on the top surface of the lounge chair or the cushion aperture of the cushion when the towel is placed on the top surface of the cushion.

The lounge chair 110 may include a frame 111, a main body 112, a head rest 113, an aperture 114, an edging 115, a fulcrum portion 116, an adjusting bar 117, a plurality of adjusting notches 118, and a plurality of legs 119.
The frame 111 may be constructed from rust proof and UV proof material, in order to prevent weather from affecting the lounge chair 110.
The frame 111 may provide stable support for the lounge chair 110, may include an entire outer portion of the lounge chair 110, and may surround the main body 112 and the head rest 113, such that the main body 112 and the head rest 113 are disposed at a center portion of the frame 111.
The main body 112 and the head rest 113 may be made from a durable canvas material, but is not limited thereto, and can be made from any material known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The main body 112 may be designed to support a user's body, while the head rest 113 may be designed to support a head and upper back of the user's body.
As such, the main body 112 may be disposed within a first portion of the frame 111 to support a lower portion of a body of a user, and the head rest 113 may be disposed within a second portion of the frame 111 to support an upper back and a head of the user.
The fulcrum portion 116 may be disposed between the main body 112 and the head rest 113.
The aperture 114 may be disposed at a substantially center portion of the head rest 113, and may function to receive a ponytail of a user therethrough when the user's head is laying on the head rest 113. As such, the aperture 114 must be at least an inch in diameter, and preferably, several inches to allow a head of the user to be comfortably supported therein.
The edging 115 may be disposed around a circumference of the aperture 114, and may function as a reinforcement member to provide durability for the head rest 113, such that an area of the headrest at the aperture 114 does not tear and/or increase in size.
The head rest 113 may be pivotally movable with respect to the main body 112 via the fulcrum portion 116, in order to allow the user to adjust a sitting angle based on the user's preference.
The adjusting bar 117 may be pivotally attached at a first end to a back portion of the frame 111 that surrounds the head rest 113, and may include a second end to be inserted into one of the plurality of adjusting notches 118 provided in a top portion of rear frame 111a that is connected to a portion of the frame 111 surrounding the main body 112.
The adjusting bar 117 may be provided in plurality on either side of the head rest 113.
The plurality of legs 119 may extend downward from corner portions of the frame 111, in order to provide stability for the lounge chair 110.
The cushion 120 may include a cushion main body 121, a cushion head rest 122, a cushion aperture 123, and a cushion fulcrum portion 124, but is not limited thereto.
The cushion 120 may be constructed from any cushion-like material known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and may have any desired thickness.
The cushion main body 121 may be designed to support a user's body, while the cushion head rest 122 may be designed to support a head and upper back of the user's body.
The cushion fulcrum portion 124 may be disposed between the cushion main body 121 and the cushion head rest 122.
The cushion aperture 123 may be disposed at a substantially center portion of the cushion head rest 122, and may function to receive a ponytail of a user therethrough when the user's head is laying on the cushion head rest 122. As such, the cushion aperture 123 must be at least an inch in diameter, and preferably, several inches to allow a head of the user to be comfortably supported therein.
The cushion head rest 122 may be pivotally movable with respect to the cushion main body 121 via the cushion fulcrum portion 124, in order to allow the user to adjust a sitting angle based on the user's preference.
The cushion 120 may be designed to be stacked on top of the lounge chair 110, such that the cushion aperture 123 lines up with the aperture 114.
The towel 130 may include a towel main body 131 and a towel aperture 132.
The towel main body 131 may be constructed from any type of cloth material relating to towels, known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The towel aperture 132 may be disposed at a center top portion of the towel main body 131, in order to correspond to a rear portion of the user's head when the user is laying on the towel 130, such that the ponytail of the user may be threaded therethrough. As such, the towel aperture 132 must be at least an inch in diameter, and preferably, several inches to allow a head of the user to be comfortably supported therein.
The towel 130 may be designed to be placed on top of the cushion 120 or on top of the lounge chair 110, such that the towel aperture 132 lines up with the cushion aperture 123 and/or the aperture 114.
Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
Claims
1. A lounge chair set, comprising:
- a lounge chair, comprising: a frame to provide support along an outer edge of the lounge chair, a main body disposed within a first portion of the frame to support a lower portion of a body of a user, a head rest disposed within a second portion of the frame to support an upper back and a head of the user, the head rest being pivotally movable with respect to the main body, an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the head rest, and a plurality of adjusting bars pivotally disposed on each side of the head rest to adjust a sitting angle of the user.
2. The lounge chair set of claim 1, wherein the aperture is between one inch in diameter and ten inches in diameter to allow the head of the user to be comfortably supported therein.
3. The lounge chair set of claim 1, further comprising:
- a cushion to be placed on a top surface of the lounge chair, the cushion comprising: a cushion main body, a cushion head rest connected to the cushion main body to be pivotally movable with respect to the cushion main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the cushion head rest to correspond to the aperture of the lounge chair when the cushion is placed on the top surface of the lounge chair.
4. The lounge chair set of claim 3, further comprising:
- a towel to be placed on a top surface of the lounge chair or a top surface of the cushion, the towel comprising: a towel main body, and an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of an upper portion of the towel main body to correspond to the aperture of the lounge chair when the cushion is placed on the top surface of the lounge chair or the cushion aperture of the cushion when the towel is placed on the top surface of the cushion.
5. A lounge chair set, comprising:
- a lounge chair, comprising: a frame to provide support along an outer edge of the lounge chair, a main body disposed within a first portion of the frame to support a lower portion of a body of a user, a head rest disposed within a second portion of the frame to support an upper back and a head of the user, a fulcrum portion disposed between the main body and the head rest to separate the main body and the head rest, such that the head rest is pivotally movable with respect to the main body via the fulcrum portion, an aperture disposed at a substantially center portion of the head rest, an adjusting bar pivotally connected at a first end to a back portion of the frame surrounding the head rest to adjust a sitting angle of the user, and a plurality of adjusting notches disposed on a top portion of a rear frame to receive a second end of the adjusting bar within one of the plurality of adjusting notches.
