Description
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

This invention refers to a modern umbrella in the field of umbrella.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

You will be always accompanied by Holly Modern as bosom friend

The cornice in Southern China which looks elegant and vivid seems to fly upward. The pavilion's cornice in Northern China looks solemn and powerful. Cornice is one of the important representations of Han ethnic group's ethnic buildings and styles. The special ornament and creation of the entablature not only enlarges the shading area but also facilitates discharge of rain. Considering canopy's soft materials, it cannot be equipped with a fixed structure of cornice like a building. The modern umbrella can be used not only as a shelter but also as a walking stick. Existing umbrellas tend to be furnished with a layer of nest, and the supporting ribs in the nest share the same conical surface. With the support of supporting ribs, the ribs have a slightly curved structure, and the part of canopy connected with the rib has a cambered surface. On windy and rainy days, the canopy will shape a surface against the wind. On this occasion, the air flow will have a strong impact the rib nest and the canopy will be folded reversely or fractured. In addition, due to technical difficulties, it is hard to shape a diverting surface because the canopy is incapable of fully clinging to the nest. In this case, the water at the top of the canopy cannot be discharged and then will drop after permeating the canopy.

CONTENTS

This invention proposes a modern umbrella in the face of existing technical drawbacks.

To achieve the goals above, this invention puts forward technical schemes below: the modern umbrella is comprised of ribs, nests, shaft and canopy. The ribs have long ribs and supporting ribs, and the nests are composed of upper nest and lower nest. The upper nest is fixed at the upper part of the shaft and the lower nest has slide cooperation with shaft. The lower nest has various disks from up to down, which are equipped with several mounting notches that are not arranged in order, and two neighboring disks are furnished with a connecting tube. One end of the supporting rib is articulated to the mounting notch and the other end to the long rib. The canopy clings to long ribs to shape various concave-convex surfaces.

By dint of the technical scheme above, the long ribs supported by the supporting ribs connected with disks that are different in height at the lower nest are located in the arc-shaped surfaces with different heights Therefore, the parts of the canopy linked with long ribs appear as different concave-convex surfaces. The concaves of the canopy can discharge rainwater timely in order to avoid water permeation as diverting channel. The arrangement of the supporting ribs will lead to a 3D concave-convex and arc-shaped structure when the umbrella is unfurled. As mentioned above, the arc-shaped structure can reduce wind power and air flow to decrease drag coefficient. At the same time, the supporting ribs locating at different heights can heighten structural strength of ribs when they are stretched, which can avoid reversed furling of umbrella and improve wind resistance.

Preferably, the shaft has a sleeve which is connected with the lower part of upper nest. The outer wall of the sleeve is armed with a limiting stopper which limits the initial angle between long ribs and shaft when the long ribs are stretched.

According to the technical scheme above, the limiting stopper on the outer surface of the sleeve at the lower side of the upper nest is connected with all long ribs on their outer surface. A certain angle is designed for long ribs when the umbrella is being folded, which can overcome the resistance when the umbrella is being unfolded. Meanwhile, the opening angle of the long ribs can be set to ensure successful folding and unfolding.

Preferably, the disks of upper and lower nests are designed with wire grooves which have a wire. The section between ribs and nests is furnished with articulated holes. The wire will go through articulated holes and its two ends will be bound with each other. The wire groove is furnished with protection notch, inside which there is a joint between wire's two ends, and besides, there is a cap at the top of the protection notch.

According to the technical scheme above, double-insurance structure is used for wire groove and protection notch to improve the safety in the folding and unfolding process. The structure of wire groove can show the safety and reliability of wire, and the protection notch and cover which hide the joints of the wire can avoid the damage that may result from the sharp joint.

Preferably, disk's side walls are equipped with several closing notches characterized by axial arrangement. In terms of location, the closing notches are parallel to mounting notches at all disks under the corresponding disks.

According to the technical scheme above, closing notch can make room for long ribs when the umbrella is folded. On this occasion, the long ribs can be partly squeezed into the closing notches to reduce the diameter when the umbrella is folded.

Preferably, as for two neighboring disks, the length of supporting rib connected with upper disk and the distance from the joint between supporting rib connected with upper disk and long rib to upper nest are equal to the length of the supporting rib connected with lower disk, the distance from the joint between supporting rib connected with lower disk and long rib to upper nest, the length of connecting tube, etc.

According to the technical scheme above, the location of long rib and supporting rib can ensure the umbrella is fully straightened without any local bulges.

Preferably, as for two neighboring disks, the distance from the joint between supporting rib connected with upper disk and long rib to upper nest is no greater than the distance from the joint between supporting rib connected with lower disk and long rib to upper nest.

According to the technical scheme above, the articulated position of long rib and supporting rib can provide more obvious concave-convex surfaces for umbrella when it is fully unfurled, and improve water diversion effects and air flow dispersion ability of umbrella as well as the stability of ribs.

Preferably, the long ribs connected with supporting ribs at the same disk have the same length, which, however, is different at different disks.

According to the technical scheme above, the part of the canopy clinging to the long rib reaches different positions at its end joint due to its length design, which leads to a shape of cornice and therefore can enlarge visual field of users when umbrella is used.

Preferably, the edge of the canopy's part located between two long ribs and far away from upper nest has an arc-shaped structure.

According to the technical scheme above, the setting of long rib's length and canopy's arc-shaped structure can give rise to locally irregular surfaces of the canopy, which will not only improve dispersion effect of air flow to reduce impact of air flow on canopy but also increase umbrella's ability to withstand wind as well as the conformability and stability of holding an umbrella.

Preferably, there is a tip between the canopy and one side of the long rib far away from upper nest, and the tip consists of inner core and outer bead. One end of inner core is fixed at the long rib and the other end is connected with outer bead, which is fixed at one edge of the upper nest far away from the canopy. The outer bead is matched up with the inner core.

According to the technical scheme above, the split-type design of the tip not only makes the installation of canopy and ribs more convenient but also improves productive and processing efficiency.

Preferably, there is a slot at one side of the outer bead facing inner core, and the slot has several holes at its side wall. The inner core is equipped with a block at the side facing outer bead, and its outer wall is furnished with a buckle. The block will be inserted into the slot and the buckle into the hole.

According to the technical scheme above, the buckling connection type provides convenience for users to install and dismount inner core and outer bead, and makes it possible for them to replace spare parts of the umbrella independently.

Preferably, the shaft is equipped with an extended rod connected to the lower nest at its lower part. The shaft is installed with a latch, and the length of the extended rod is equal to the distance from the latch to the lower side of the sleeve.

According to the technical scheme above, the extended rod has increased the length of the lower nest, which can make it easier and faster for the users to unfold and fold the umbrella, and the unfolding and folding speed will be three times as low as that of ordinary umbrella. Only one latch can complete folding and unfolding of umbrella to prevent users from clamping hands.

Preferably, there is a ferrule at the top of shaft, which is connected with the upper nest at its top, and there is a non-slip pad at the top of the ferrule.

According to the technical scheme above, the non-slip pad of ferrule is wear-resistant and skid-proof. When the umbrella is used as a walking stick, the non-slip pad is characterized by shock absorption.

Preferably, the shaft is equipped with an elastic plastic loop at its top, which is located between the ferrule and the upper nest and above the joint between the canopy and the shaft.

According to the technical scheme, the elastic plastic loop is just located above the joint between canopy and shaft, which can stop rainwater from permeating the umbrella.
