The subject disclosure relates to a bed sheet apparatus comprising a first material of first dimensions sewn into a second material of second dimensions, wherein the first material dimensions are less than the second material dimensions, wherein the first material facilitates moisture retention, and wherein the second material blocks moisture retention.

Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims priority to and claims the benefit of priority to U.S. Patent Application No. 62/734,768, filed on Sep. 21, 2018 and entitled “BED SHEET APPARATUS”. The entirety of the disclosure of the aforementioned application is considered part of, and is incorporated by reference in, the disclosure of this application.

BACKGROUND

Many infants, toddlers and children are susceptible to moisture loss on their heads which can further result in dry skin, rough skin patches, or hair issues for the child. The problem of hair dryness due to sleeping on standard bed sheets is pervasive and affects a large population of children. As such, technologies and solutions to prevent and mitigate such moisture loss problems are needed.

SUMMARY

The following presents a summary to provide a basic understanding of one or more embodiments of the invention. This summary is not intended to identify key or critical elements or delineate any scope of the particular embodiments or any scope of the claims. Its sole purpose is to present concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later. In one or more embodiments described herein are one or more apparatus's to facilitate moisture retention around the heads of a range of people including, but not limited to, infants, toddlers, children, and/or adults.

According to an embodiment, a moisture resistant bed sheet apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a moisture resistant portion configured to resist moisture via a non-permeable material composition. In another aspect, the bed sheet apparatus comprises a non-moisture resistant portion configured to allow moisture to permeate such material. Furthermore, the bed sheet apparatus comprises an integration portion configured to integrate the moisture resistant portion and the non-moisture resistant portion into a unified sheet.

According to another embodiment, a method can comprise cutting a first material of first dimensions and a second material of second dimensions, wherein the first dimensions are less than the second dimensions, wherein the first material is moisture resistant, and wherein the second material is non-moisture resistant. Also, the first material can be combined with the second material based on a combining mechanism, wherein the combined first material and second material comprises a bed sheet comprising a moisture resistant portion and a non-moisture resistant portion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The following detailed description is merely illustrative and is not intended to limit embodiments and/or application or uses of embodiments. Furthermore, there is no intention to be bound by any expressed or implied information presented in the preceding Background or Summary sections, or in the Detailed Description section. One or more embodiments are now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like referenced numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a more thorough understanding of the one or more embodiments. It is evident, however, in various cases, that the one or more embodiments can be practiced without these specific details.

In an aspect, disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for retaining hair moisture. In one or more non-limiting embodiment, disclosed is a bed sheet device configured to facilitate a retention of hair moisture for a range of users including, but not limited to, infants, toddlers, adolescents, and adults. In an aspect, the bed sheet device can be configured to combine a first material representing a material that facilitates moisture retention with a second material representing a material that blocks moisture accumulation. In an instance, the second material that blocks moisture retention can be a cotton, flannel or other base material. In another instance, the first material that retains moisture can be any one or more of a satin material or a silk patch material.

In a non-limiting example embodiment, a second material of the bed sheet device can be configured as a first portion of the bed sheet device that interfaces with the body of a user. In another aspect, the first material of the bed sheet device can be configured as a second portion of the bed sheet device that interfaces with the head region of a user. In another non-limiting embodiment, the bed sheet device can comprise a patch of the first material such as silk or satin residing within an area comprising the second material such as cotton or flannel. In an aspect, the first material can be sewn into the second material or the second material can be sewn around the first material to generate the bed sheet device. In other non-limiting embodiments, the bed sheet device can be configured for incorporation within a range of products such as car seats, high chairs, infant playmats, and other such items.

Turning now to FIG. 1A, illustrated is bed sheet device 100A comprising a first material 104 and a second material 102. In an aspect, first material 104 can be a material that facilitates moisture retention (within a user hair) and resists moisture accumulation on the material. For instance, first material 104 can be a material such as a satin or silk material. In another aspect, second material 102 can be a material that blocks moisture accumulation (within a user hair) such as cotton, flannel or other base material. In a non-limiting embodiment first material 104 can be sewn into second material 102. Furthermore, in an aspect, first material 104 can encompass a region of the bed sheet device 100A that receives a head region of a user. For instance, a person or infant sleeping on the mattress can rest his/her head on the silk or satin material such that the head can retain moisture due to the moisture resistant properties of the first material 104.

Also, in an aspect, second material 102 can encompass a region of the bed sheet device 100A that receives a body portion of a user such that the second material 102 can block moisture retention in order to keep the user body dry and comfortable when lying or sleeping on the bed sheet device 100A. In yet another aspect, the first material 104 can be integrated into bed sheet device 100A such that the material only covers an area of the sheet that wraps around three surfaces of a mattress or bassinet mattress (e.g., both side walls and mattress top portion).

FIG. 1B illustrates an image of a head on view of an example, non-limiting bed sheet device 100B that can facilitate moisture retention of a user head region in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. In an aspect, first material 104 can be a material that facilitates moisture retention such as a satin or silk material. In another aspect, second material 102 can be a material that blocks moisture accumulation such as cotton, flannel or other base material. In a non-limiting embodiment first material 104 can be sewn into second material 102.

Turning now to FIG. 1C, illustrated is an image of a closeup view of an example, non-limiting bed sheet device 100C that can facilitate moisture retention of a user head region in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. In an aspect, first material 104 can be a material that facilitates moisture retention such as a satin or silk material. In another aspect, second material 102 can be a material that blocks moisture accumulation such as cotton, flannel or other base material. In a non-limiting embodiment first material 104 can be sewn into second material 102.

Turning now to FIG. 2A, illustrated is an image of a side angle view of an example, non-limiting bed sheet device 200A that can facilitate moisture retention of a user head region in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. At reference numeral 202A, illustrated is a seam in which first material 104 is interconnected with second material 102 via a sewn seam. In a non-limiting instance, first material 104 and second material 102 can be integrated as a monolithic sheet configured to conform to a mattress and act as a mattress covering. In another aspect, first material 104 can comprise a unique pattern based on a user preference. For instance, a non-limiting example pattern can be a camouflage pattern such as that illustrated in FIG. 2A.

FIG. 2B illustrates an image of a side angle view of an example, non-limiting bed sheet device 200B that can facilitate moisture retention of a user head region in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. In an aspect, second material 102 is a different pattern (in other embodiments second material 102 can be a different color and/or different pattern), such as the star pattern of first material 104, than in previous figures and first material 104 is of a different color than in previous figures. As such, the patterns, look, material composition and feel of the materials can be varied in each embodiment of the bed sheet device. Furthermore, in an aspect, at reference numeral 202B, first material 104 and second material 102 can be interconnected via several mechanisms including, but not limited to, sewn seam, hook and loop fasteners, snap mechanisms, zipper mechanisms, and other such interconnection mechanisms. In an instance first material 104 and second material 102 can be integrated as a monolithic sheet configured to conform to a mattress and act as a mattress covering.

Turning now to FIG. 3A, illustrated is a block diagram of an example, non-limiting method 300 of making a bed sheet device 300A covering a bassinet or crib mattress in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. At 302, a first material (e.g., first material 104) is cut into first dimensions and a second material (e.g., second material 102) is cut into second dimensions, wherein the first dimensions are less than the second dimensions. At 304, the first material 104 is combined with the second material 102 based on a combining mechanism.

In a non-limiting embodiment, the surface area of first material 104 can be reduced in size to appropriately accommodate a smaller child or infant proportions. For instance, a reduced surface area first material 104 can allow for a smaller bodied person to target its head on the first material 104 portion and obtain the benefits of moisture retention at the user head region from such first material 104 placement and surface area sizing adjustments. Furthermore, in a non-limiting embodiment, first material 104 can vary in shape and size (e.g., length, width, height, etc.) to form a compartmentalized area configured to facilitate moisture retention in the area covered by first material 104. Also, in an aspect, the combined surface area of first material 104 and second material 102 can be configured to approximately fit the surface area of a conventional bassinet.

In another embodiment, first material 104 can be incorporated into second material 102 via various integration mechanisms including, but not limited to, a loop fastener mechanism on the surface of second material 102 such that first material 104 can be adhered and removed (e.g., for cleaning) if need be. In yet another non-limiting embodiment, first material 104 can be adhered and removed in several portions of second material 102 to provide a range of locations in which moisture retention capabilities can be facilitated. As such, the flexible placement capability of first material 104 can accommodate a range of users that may move in several locations during sleep, rest, or while lying on the bed sheet device.

Turning now to FIG. 3B, illustrated is a block diagram of an example, non-limiting method 300B of making a bed sheet device 300B covering a bassinet or crib mattress in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. At 302, a first material (e.g., first material 104) is cut into first dimensions and a second material (e.g., second material 102) is cut into second dimensions, wherein the first dimensions are less than the second dimensions. At 304, the first material 104 is combined with the second material 102 based on a combining mechanism. In an aspect, device 300B can allow for first material 102 and second material 104 to be secured by the mattress (e.g., bassinet mattress, crib mattress, etc.) with the walls of such mattress. Also, as an instance, the patterns of first material 104 can vary in pattern designs.

Turning now to FIG. 4, illustrated are a set of dimensions of a crib sheet pattern device 400A and bassinet sheet dimensions 400B in accordance with one or more embodiments described herein. In a non-limiting embodiment, device 400A corresponding to a crib sized sheet device comprises reference numeral L1 that depicts a length of the bed sheet from end to end of the bed sheet device; reference numeral L2 that depicts the length of the sheet from the top of a first cut out corner to the top of a second cut out corner of the bed sheet device; reference numeral L3 that depicts a width of the first material (e.g., satin); reference numeral W2 that depicts the width of second material portion from the inner edge of the second corner to the inner edge of the third corner; and reference numeral W1 that references the width of the entire bed sheet device (which is the same as the length of the first material portion) from the outer edge of the second corner to the outer edge of the third corner of the bed sheet device. In a non-limiting embodiment, reference numeral L3 can be sixteen inches, reference numeral L2 can be fifty-two inches long and reference numeral L1 can be sixty-nine inches in total length. In another non-limiting embodiment, reference numeral W1 of device 400A can be forty-three inches long and reference numeral W2 can be twenty-six inches long. In another aspect, the four corners of device 400A can be comprised of square cut outs with 8.5-inch sides lengths. In another non-limiting embodiment, the first material can be integrated 20 inches below the top side of device 400A. Furthermore, in an aspect, the first material surface area can have a width of sixteen inches and a length of forty-three inches. In an aspect, the corners of each side are sewn together to form bed sheet boundaries configured to be wrapped around the corners and underside of a crib mattress.

In another non-limiting embodiment, bassinet sheet device 400B comprises reference numeral L1 that depicts a length of the bed sheet from end to end of the bed sheet device; reference numeral L2 that depicts the length of the sheet from the top of a first cut out corner to the top of a second cut out corner of the bed sheet device; reference numeral L3 that depicts a width of the first material (e.g., satin); reference numeral W2 that depicts the width of second material portion from the inner edge of the second corner to the inner edge of the third corner; and reference numeral W1 that references the width of the entire bed sheet device (which is the same as the length of the first material portion) from the outer edge of the second corner to the outer edge of the third corner of the bed sheet device. In a non-limiting embodiment, reference numeral L3 can be twelve inches, reference numeral L2 can be thirty-three inches long and reference numeral L1 can be forty-two inches in total length.

In another non-limiting embodiment, reference numeral W1 of device 400B can be twenty-five inches long and reference numeral W2 can be sixteen inches long. In another aspect, the four corners of device 400B can be comprised of cut out squares with 4.5-inch sides lengths. In another non-limiting embodiment, the first material can be integrated 10 inches below the top side of device 400B. In another aspect, the four corners of device 400B can be comprised of square cut outs with 4.5-inch sides lengths. In another non-limiting embodiment, the first material can be integrated 10 inches below the top side of device 400B. Furthermore, in an aspect, the first material surface area can have a width of twelve inches and a length of twenty-five inches. In an aspect, the corners of each side are sewn together to form bed sheet boundaries configured to be wrapped around the corners and underside of a bassinet mattress.

In other embodiments, crib sheet device 400A can comprise L1 having a length ranging from 66 inches to 72 inches, L2 having a length range from 49 inches to 55 inches, and L3 having a length ranging from 13 inches to 19 inches. Furthermore, in another non-limiting embodiment, cribe sheet device 400A can comprise a W1 ranging from 40 inches to 46 inches and W2 ranging from 23 inches to 29 inches. In other embodiments, bassinet sheet device 400B can comprise L1 having a length ranging from 39 to 45 inches, L2 having a length ranging from 30 to 36 inches, and L3 ranging from 9 to 15 inches. In another set of embodiments, 400B can comprise W1 ranging from 22 inches to 28 inches and W2 ranging from 13 to 19 inches.

It should be understood that any one or more of the teachings, expressions, embodiments, examples, etc. described herein may be combined with any one or more of the other teachings, expressions, embodiments, examples, etc. that are described herein. The above described teachings, expressions, embodiments, examples etc. should therefore not be viewed in isolation relative to each other. Various suitable ways in which the teachings herein may be combined will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art in view of the teachings herein. Such modifications and variations are intended to be included within the scope of the claims.

Having shown and described various embodiments of the present invention, further adaptations and methods and systems described herein may be accomplished by appropriate modifications by one of ordinary skill in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention. Several of such potential modifications have been mentioned, and others will be apparent to those skilled in the art. For instance, the examples, embodiments, geometrics, materials, dimensions, ratios, steps, and the like discussed above are illustrative and are not required. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention should be considered in terms of the following claims and is understood not to be limited to the details of structure and operation shown and described in the specification and drawings.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

a first material of first dimensions sewn into a second material of second dimensions, wherein the first material dimensions are less than the second material dimensions, and wherein the first material facilitates moisture retention, and wherein the second material blocks moisture retention.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the first material dimensions comprise a set of crib dimensions comprising a length of sixteen inches and a width of forty-three inches.

3. A bed sheet apparatus comprising:

a moisture resistant portion configured to resist moisture via a non-permeable material composition;
a non-moisture resistant portion configured to allow moisture to permeate such material; and
an integration portion configured to integrate the moisture resistant portion and the non-moisture resistant portion into a unified sheet.

4. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 3, wherein the integration portion comprises at least one of a sewn seam connecting the moisture resistant portion and the non-moisture resistant portion, a hook and loop fastener mechanism that connects a set of outer edges of the moisture resistant portion to the non-moisture resistant portion, a snap mechanism, or a clip mechanism.

5. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 3, wherein the moisture resistant portion is configured to a set of bassinet dimensions corresponding to a bassinet apparatus or a set of crib dimensions corresponding to a crib apparatus.

6. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 5, wherein the set of bassinet dimensions comprise a first length of twelve inches and a first width of twenty-five inches.

7. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 5, wherein the set of crib dimensions comprise a second length of sixteen inches and a second width of forty-three inches.

8. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 6, wherein the set of bassinet dimensions are configured to cover a bassinet mattress target area with the moisture resistant portion, wherein the bassinet mattress target area interfaces with a bassinet user head.

9. The bed sheet apparatus of claim 7, wherein the set of crib dimensions are configured to cover a crib mattress target area with the moisture resistant portion, wherein the crib mattress target area is configured to interface with a crib user head.

10. A method comprising:

cutting a first material of first dimensions and a second material of second dimensions, wherein the first dimensions are less than the second dimensions, wherein the first material is moisture resistant, and wherein the second material is non-moisture resistant; and
combining the first material with the second material based on a combining mechanism, wherein the combined first material and second material comprises a bed sheet comprising a moisture resistant portion and a non-moisture resistant portion.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the first dimensions configured to fit a bassinet mattress comprise a twelve-inch length and a twenty-five inch width.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein the first dimensions configured to fit a crib mattress comprise a sixteen-inch length and a forty-three-inch width.
