BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the Invention (2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98

The disclosure and prior art relates to blankets and more particularly pertains to a new blanket for easy aesthetic transformation.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a first panel having a first top edge, a first bottom edge, a first left edge, a first right edge, a first upper side, and a first lower side. The first upper side has a first pattern and the first lower side has a second pattern. A second panel is coupled to the first panel and has a second top edge coupled to the first top edge, a second bottom edge, a second left edge coupled to the first left edge, a second right edge coupled to the first right edge, a second upper side, and a second lower side. The second upper side has a third pattern and the second lower side has a fourth pattern. The four-sided blanket is flippable to place the first upper side up or the second lower side up and reversible by drawing the first top edge and the second top edge between the first bottom edge and the second bottom edge to place the first lower side up or the second upper side up.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is a front isometric view of a four-sided blanket according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 2 is a rear isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 3 is a front isometric view of an alternate configuration of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 4 is a rear isometric view of an alternate configuration of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 5 is a bottom plan view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure along line 6-6 of FIG. 5.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new blanket embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the four-sided blanket 10 generally comprises a first panel 12 having a first top edge 14, a first bottom edge 16, a first left edge 18, a first right edge 20, a first upper side 22, and a first lower side 24. The first upper side 22 has a first pattern 26 and the first lower side 24 has a second pattern 28. A second panel 30 has a second top edge 32, a second bottom edge 34, a second left edge 36, a second right edge 38, a second upper side 40, and a second lower side 42. The second upper side 40 has a third pattern 44 and the second lower side 42 has a fourth pattern 46. An engagement mechanism 48 may be coupled to each of the first top edge 14, the first right edge 20, the first left edge 18, the second top edge 32, the second right edge 38, and the second left edge 36. The engagement mechanism 48 engages and alternatively disengages the first panel 12 and the second panel 30. The engagement mechanism 48 may also be coupled to the first bottom edge 16 and the second bottom edge 34. The engagement mechanism 48 may be a hidden zipper 50.

In use, the four-sided blanket 10 can be flipped to place the first upper side 22 up or the second lower side 42 up and it may be reversed by drawing the first top edge 14 and the second top edge 32 between the first bottom edge 16 and the second bottom edge 34 to place the first lower side 24 up or the second upper side 40 up. The reversal may alternatively be achieved by disengaging the engagement mechanism 48, flipping the first panel 12, and reengaging the engagement mechanism 48. The four-sided blanket 10 can thus be used with the first pattern 26, the second pattern 28, the third pattern 44, or the fourth pattern 46 up to add easy aesthetic diversity to a bedroom.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
