Beverage Cooler Tub
The Beverage Cooler Tub is a continuously insulated body with an open top. It is a leak proof container that consists of two or more compartments. The Beverage Cooler Tub is made of hollow plastic walls that are filled with expandable polyethylene foam for insulation that does not allow condensation to form on outer walls when ice is contained inside container. Container is at a depth that allow beverages in bottle or cans to stand and be accessed easily without having to dig through ice. Any walls that separate compartments are part of the continuously insulated body, which provides the same insulation properties from one compartment to another. The Beverage Cooler Tub also has built in hand grips that assist in transportation. It is also designed to house removable condiment insert trays.
The Beverage Cooler Tub is a continuously insulated body with an open top. It is a leak proof container that consists of two or more compartments and the walls that separate compartments are part of the continuously insulated body, which provides the same insulation properties from one compartment to another. All walls consist of insulation that does not allow condensation to form on an outer wall when ice is stored inside a cavity. Inside of the Beverage Cooler Tub is at a depth that allows beverages in bottle or cans to stand and be accessed easily without having to dig through ice. The design allows all of the beverage contents to be visible and accessible without having to touch the ice. Separate compartments allow one of the compartments to be used as a large ice bucket that would not become contaminated with anything stored in the other compartments. The Beverage Cooler Tub also has built in hand grips that assist in transportation. It is also designed to house removable condiment insert trays.
BACKGROUNDExisting metal beverage tubs are not foam filled insulated. At best, they are simply double walled with air space between walls. At worst, they are single walled. Metal beverage tubs form condensation on the outside walls when ice is stored in inside cavity. That condensation accumulates as water on the surface of where the beverage tubs sits, which is messy and can be a dangerous situation if it travels to the floor. Ice inside the cavity also tends to melt at a faster rate with the lack of insulation. Single walled plastic containers have the same lack of insulation and condensation issues as metal tubs.
There are only a couple plastic tubs that are foam insulated. They are a single cavity and deep, where contents tend to be buried in ice rather than everything being visible. Being a single cavity doesn't allow for a compartment to be used as an ice bucket without contamination. They also don't have an option to incorporate a condiment tray(s). They don't have more than one compartment where different temperatures can be stored and independently insulated from each other.
The Beverage Cooler Tub is the only insulated tub that provides multiple compartments, that allow for ice to be stored separate from other storage contamination and each compartment is insulated within itself from the other compartments, allowing different temperatures to be stored next to each other—even ice next to warm food. The beverage cooler tub is the only tub that is designed so that every bottle or can is stored in a standing position and after engulfed in crushed or cubed ice, all contents are visible and accessible without hands touching the ice.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGSThe drawings are of a production version of the Beverage Cooler Tub. The application, as defined by the drawings, description and all appended claims, should be understood to not limit the invention to the particulars of the embodiment submitted. The intention is to cover modifications, equivalents and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the present application.
To further illustrate and clarify the embodiments of this application, drawings will be referenced for better understanding of the mode of use, objectives and advantages.
Drawings will be referenced with the prefix FIG.
The Beverage Cooler Tub provides premium insulation that preserves ice longer and doesn't allow any condensation to form on it's exterior, which eliminates water from pooling on the counter and possibly dangerously traveling to the floor. The Beverage Cooler Tub allows bottles or cans to be stored in a standing position and remain visible after iced. That allows access without having hands touch ice. Two or more cavities allow versatility where one cavity can be used as a large ice compartment and not come in contact with anything else to cause contamination to that ice. The condiment insert trays also provide an option of versatility. The cavities are all individually insulated allowing ice to be stored next to hot food where the dividing wall insulates from temperature transfer.
Current beverage tubs/party coolers lack the insulation and/or organization attributes and/or versatility of storage options.
Claims
1. A Beverage Cooler Tub comprising:
- (a) a sealed insulated body with an open top, and consisting of two or more cavities;
- (b) wherein body is made of polyethylene with a hollow core that is filled with pressure injected polyurethane foam insulation or an aerated plastic body of closed-cell structure to provide thermal insulation.
- (c) wherein insulation does not allow a temperature transfer to allow condensation to form on exterior walls when ice is contained within the cavities;
- (d) wherein dividing walls, between cavities, are part of the continuously insulated body and provide the same insulation qualities between compartments as the outer walls;
- (e) wherein insulation not only eliminates condensation from forming on the outside walls, but also provides insulation qualities to the contents of the individual cavities;
- (f) wherein insulation between cavities allows for ice to be stored in a cavity next to a cavity with warm storage and each cavity will stay insulated in and of itself;
- (g) wherein the separate cavities allow storage that does not cross contaminate the contents of each cavity with another;
- (h) wherein hand grips are molded in to outside walls for transportation.
2. A Beverage Cooler Tub comprising:
- (a) interior cavities at a depth wherein bottles and cans in a standing position, surrounded by crushed or cubed ice, can be accessed without having to come in contact with said ice;
- (b) wherein the depth provides a display where all contents are visible;
3. A Beverage Cooler Tub comprising:
- (a) a cavity to support placement of condiment insert trays, that are form fit stationary when set in the designed location;
- (b) a sealed insulated body and removable condiment trays that are made of food contact approved material.
- (c) wherein trays are optional use in cavity and are also free standing and can be used outside of tub body;
