HAIR IRON HAVING DUAL LEVER STRUCTURE

The present invention relates a hair iron having a dual lever structure. More particularly, a clip is axially coupled to an upper portion of a cylindrical iron body, and a lever extending upward from a rear of the clip is pressed or released so that hairs are elastically pressed to be set variously. In addition, left and right extensions protruding downward from the rear of the clip are inserted and assembled into an auxiliary lever, and a pressing force of the clip is adjusted by additionally pulling the auxiliary lever after elastically pressing the hairs using the clip, so that hairstyles such as straight, wave or curl are set more effectively.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a hair iron, and more particularly, to a hair iron having a dual lever structure to set hairs to straight, wavy, curly hairs using heat of a heater while elastically pressing the hairs using a clip axially coupled to an iron body, in which a user may adjust a pressing force of the clip by additionally pulling an auxiliary lever, so that the hairs can be set more effectively.

2. Description of the Prior Art

It is well known that a hair iron is one of beauty tools that implement hairs into various hair styles such as straight, wave and curl.

The above hair iron is generally used at a beauty salon or at home.

According to the conventional hair iron, as shown in FIG. 6, a fixed handle 3 provided with a heater therein is formed at a rear of the iron body 2, a clip 5 is coupled to a shaft 7 on an upper portion of the iron body to press the hairs while being elastically rotated upward and downward by an elastic force of a spring, and a lever 6 is integrally formed at a rear of the clip. When the user axially rotates the clip 5 by pressing the lever to open the clip from the iron body 2, and then removes an external force pressing the lever 6, the clip 5 is rotated to an initial position by the elastic force of the spring and presses the hairs so that the hairs can be set to straight, wavy, or curly hairs by heat of a heater.

However, when the conventional hair iron presses the hairs while the clip 5 is rotated by the elastic force of the spring, the elastic pressing force of the clip is fixedly set as the elastic force of the spring, so there is a limitation that the clip cannot be used to press the hairs stronger than the elastic force of the spring.

In particular, since the elastic force of the clip is weakened due to repeated use of the spring, the hairs cannot be pressed more effectively, and thus the capability of setting the hairs gradually decreases, and there is no solution to compensate for the problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

To solve the conventional problems, according to the present invention, hairs are set to straight, wavy, curly hairs or the like by using heat of a heater while elastically pressing hairs using a clip axially coupled to an iron body, in which a user may adjust a pressing force of the clip by additionally pulling an auxiliary lever, so that the hairs can be set more effectively.

According to the present invention, the hair iron includes: a cylindrical iron body; a fixed handle extending from a rear of the iron body; a clip installed to cover an upper portion of the iron body, coupled to hinge shafts on both sides of the rear of the iron body, and elastically and axially rotated upward and downward by a tension spring; a lever extending upward from a rear of the clip and pressed or released to operate the clip upward or downward; and an auxiliary lever extending and protruding downward from the rear of the clip, wherein a pressing force of the clip is adjusted by additionally pulling the auxiliary lever after elastically pressing hairs by using the clip.

According to the present invention, left and right extensions protrude downward from left and right sides of the rear of the clip, and the auxiliary lever is formed at a center thereof with an operation panel and formed at upper both sides thereof with left and right assembly grooves into which the left and right extensions of the clip are inserted and assembled.

According to the present invention, the operation panel (51) of the auxiliary lever may be horizontally formed to keep the hair iron in a stand-up state.

According to the present invention, the clip is axially coupled to an upper portion of the cylindrical iron body, and a lever extending upward from the rear of the clip is pressed or released so that the hairs may be elastically pressed so as to be set variously. In addition, the left and right extensions protruding downward from the rear of the clip are inserted and assembled into the auxiliary lever, and the pressing force of the clip is adjusted by additionally pulling the auxiliary lever after elastically pressing the hairs using the clip, so that hairstyles such as straight, wave or curl can be set more effectively.

In particular, even when the elastic force of the clip is weakened due to repeated use of the spring, the pressing force of the clip may be complemented using the auxiliary lever, so that the hairs can be set more effectively.

In addition, the auxiliary lever is formed in a horizontal structure to enable the hair iron to be easily held and kept in a stand-up state when the hair iron is not used, so that the convenience for use can be improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

A manual press-type hair iron of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, includes an iron body 10, a fixed handle 20, a clip 30, a lever 40, and an auxiliary lever 50.

The iron body 10 is configured to have a cylindrical structure and accommodate a heater (not shown) therein, so that hairs may be variously formed into straight, wavy, curly hairs or the like.

The fixed handle 20 may extend from a rear of the iron body, in which a power line is connected thereto and a power button 22 is provided.

The clip 30 may be formed by bending a metal plate, configured to cover the iron body 10, and coupled to hinge shafts 11 protruding from both sides of the rear of the iron body, thereby elastically pressing hairs on the iron body while being axially rotated upward and downward due to an elastic force of a tension spring (not shown).

The lever 40 may extend upward from the rear of the clip and be pressed or released to operate the clip upward or downward.

The auxiliary lever 50 extends and protrudes downward from the rear of the clip, such that a pressing force of the clip may be adjusted by additionally pulling the auxiliary lever after elastically pressing the hairs by using the clip.

In other words, left and right extensions 32 protrude downward from left and right sides of the rear of the clip 30, the auxiliary lever 50 is formed at a center thereof with an operation panel 51 and formed at upper both sides thereof with left and right assembly grooves 52 into which the left and right extensions 32 of the clip are inserted and assembled.

In addition, shaft protrusions 32a may protrude on outer sides of the left and right extensions 32, respectively, and shaft holes 52a may be formed in the assembly grooves 52 of the auxiliary lever to enable the shaft protrusions to be inserted into the shaft holes 52a, so that a separation may be prevented.

In addition, the operation panel 51 of the auxiliary lever may be horizontally formed to keep the hair iron in a stand-up state.

Reference numeral 45, which is not described, denotes a coupler coupled to a rear of the lever 40 to prevent a slip when the lever is pressed.

Next, operations and actions according to the present invention configured as above will be described.

First the hair iron of the present invention is configured to be used after simply assembling the auxiliary lever 50, in which the left and right extensions 32 laterally protruding downward from the rear of the clip are inserted into the left and right assembling grooves 52 formed in the upper both sides of the auxiliary lever.

In order to set hairs using the above-described hair iron according to the present invention, a user may hold the fixed handle 20 and press the lever 40 extending upward from the rear of the clip.

When the lever is pressed as above, the clip 30 is rotated around the hinge shafts 11 while elastically pressing the tension spring (not shown), thereby opening the clip 30 from the iron body 10.

In the above state, when the external force pressing the lever 40 is removed after the hairs are inserted between the iron body 10 and the clip 30, the clip 30 is axially rotated back to an initial position due to the elastic force of the tension spring, and thus the hairs can be pressed and set by the elastic force of the tension spring.

In the above state, according to the present invention, when the user additionally pulls the operation panel 51 of the auxiliary lever connected to the rear lower portion of the clip 30, the pressing force of the clip 30 may be adjusted more strongly while the clip 30 being further rotated about the hinge shafts, so that the hairs can be set to straight, wavy, or curly hairs more effectively.

In particular, even when the tension spring of the clip is weakened due to repeated use and the hairs are insufficiently pressed, the hairs may be additionally pressed and adjusted by the clip using the aforementioned auxiliary lever 50, so that the hairs can be effectively set.

Further, since the operation panel 51 of the auxiliary lever 50 may be formed horizontally, the hair iron can be easily kept in a stand-up state using the operation panel 51, when the hair iron of the present invention is not in use.

Therefore, according to the present invention, the clip is axially coupled to the upper portion of the iron body, and the lever extending upward from the rear of the clip is pressed or released so that the hairs may be elastically pressed so as to be set variously. In addition, the auxiliary lever 50 is further provided in the rear lower portion of the clip and the auxiliary lever is additionally pulled after the hairs are elastically pressurized using the clip, thereby adjusting the pressing force of the clip, so that the hairstyles such as straight, wave or curl can be set more effectively.

Claims

1. A hair iron having a dual lever structure comprising:

a cylindrical iron body;
a fixed handle extending from a rear of the iron body;
a clip configured to cover an upper portion of the iron body and shaft-coupled to hinge shafts on both sides of the rear of the iron body so as to be elastically rotated upward and downward by a tension spring;
a lever extending upward from a rear of the clip and pressed or released to operate the clip upward or downward; and
an auxiliary lever extending and protruding downward from the rear of the clip,
wherein a pressing force of the clip is adjusted by additionally pulling the auxiliary lever after elastically pressing hairs using the clip.

The hair iron of claim 1, wherein left and right extensions protrude downward from left and right sides of the rear of the clip, and the auxiliary lever is formed at a center thereof with an operation panel and formed at upper both sides thereof with left and right assembly grooves into which the left and right extensions of the clip are inserted and assembled.

3. The hair iron of claim 1, wherein the operation panel of the auxiliary lever is horizontally formed to keep the hair iron in a stand-up state.

4. The hair iron of claim 2, wherein the operation panel of the auxiliary lever is horizontally formed to keep the hair iron in a stand-up state.
