A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes of the present invention is achieved by forming a handle on the outer side surface of a main body having an open upper surface and a closed bottom surface so as to form a space therein, wherein a vertical finger insertion hole (140) is formed in a vertical direction in a handle part (150) formed integrally with the outer side of the main body (100) and a horizontal finger insertion hole (160) is formed in the middle of the outer side surface of the handle part (150).

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Technical Field

The present invention relates to a cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes and, more specifically, to a cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes, which is integrally formed on the outer surface of a cup and has vertical finger insertion holes and horizontal finger insertion holes respectively formed to be opened such that a user may carry the cup containing a beverage therein in a safe state by inserting a finger into the vertical finger insertion holes formed to be opened in the upper and lower portions of a handle part protruding from the outer surface of the cup and simultaneously perform other operations by using other fingers except for the finger, which is inserted into the vertical finger insertion hole, and the palm, thereby providing user convenience, wherein the user may carry or move two or three cups having the same structure by using two or three fingers in accordance with circumstances.

Background Art

Disposable paper cups or disposable plastic cups having no handle are used for various purposes in offices, drinking water vending machines, coffee shops and the like due to the ease of use and low price.

Meanwhile, when the contents inside the cup are hot or cold, a cup holder made of thick paper or the like is provided such that the cup is inserted into such a cup holder and the outer periphery of the cup is encompassed by the cup holder for the sake of user convenience.

In addition, there are many kinds of cups with handles so-called mugs, but such a cup has a finger insertion hole formed in the center portion of the handle fixed on the outside thereof such that a user has to use the cup by holding the handle by inserting three or four fingers into the finger insertion hole.

Therefore, the user cannot do anything else with the hand holding the mug, and it is almost impossible to carry two or more mugs containing contents therein with one hand.

In addition, since most of the cup handles are smoothly formed without bent portions on the outer surfaces, when tilting the cup to pour the contents contained in the cup, the user has to take the action of pulling the entire lower arm below the elbow, including the user's hand, toward the user's upper body.

At this time, the user's fingers often slip from the cup and thus the contents pour out when the user performs other operations or the place is narrow.

In order to solve the above problems, there has been suggested a “cup structure” (hereinafter, referred to as “Patent Document 1”) disclosed in Korean utility model publication (Publication No.: 20-2013-6299, Publication Date: 31 Oct. 2013), the cup structure comprising: a hollow body having an open upper surface and a closed lower surface; and a handle integrally attached to the outer surface of the body so as to form a finger insertion hole between the body and the handle, wherein the handle includes: a first holding part protruding from the outer surface of the body and formed to be curved in an oval shape; and a second holding part extending in the longitudinal direction from the free end of the first holding part and formed to be curved in an oval shape so as to be fixed on the outer surface of the body with the free end thereof.

The cup structure described in Patent Document 1 has the effect that the first holding part and the second holding part are continuously formed in the oval shapes in the longitudinal direction so that, when a user uses the cup, the first holding part and the second holding part are simultaneously held by the user's fingers and thus the cup is prevented from slipping and falling.

However, the cup structure described in Patent Document 1 still fails to solve the problems of the normally used mugs that a user cannot perform other work with the hand holding the cup and two or more cups containing contents are hardly carried or moved with one hand.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Technical Problem

Accordingly, the present invention has been derived in an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems and inconvenience and has an objective to provide a cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes, by which a user may carry a cup containing a beverage therein in a safe state by inserting a finger into vertical finger insertion holes formed to be opened in the upper and lower portions of a handle integrally formed on the outer surface of the cup and simultaneously perform various kinds of operations by using other fingers except for the finger, which is inserted into the vertical finger insertion holes, and the palm such that user convenience is provided, and the user may carry or move two or three cups having the same structure by using two or three fingers in accordance with circumstances.

Technical Solution

In a cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to the present invention, when forming a handle on the outer surface of a main body having an open upper surface and a closed lower surface so as to form a space therein, a vertical finger insertion hole 140 is formed in the vertical direction in a handle part 150 formed integrally on the outer surface of the main body 100 and a horizontal finger insertion hole 160 is formed in the horizontal direction in the center of the outer surface of the handle part 150.

The handle part 150 may have a vertical finger insertion hole 140 formed to be opened in the vertical direction at one position in either the upper surface or the lower surface of the handle part 150 or at two positions in both the upper surface and the lower surface.

In the case where the handle part 150 has vertical finger insertion holes 140 formed at two positions in both the upper surface and the lower surface of the handle part 150, the vertical finger insertion holes 140 may be symmetrical or asymmetric.

In addition, the handle part 150 may have a front finger insertion hole 180 formed in the front surface thereof.

Furthermore, although two horizontal finger insertion holes 160 formed in the handle part 150 are shown as being symmetrical, the two horizontal finger insertion holes 160 may be asymmetric, and the size and shape of the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 may be the same as or different from each other such that the design of a cup may be varied, thereby making it more favorable to general consumers.

In addition, it is noted that the number of the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 is not necessarily limited to two, wherein one horizontal finger insertion hole may be omitted or three or four horizontal finger insertion holes may be formed in accordance with circumstances.

Effects of the Invention

According to the present invention having the above-described structure, a user may fixedly hold a cup having contents therein in the user's hand by using only one finger (the thumb) by inserting the finger (the thumb) in the downward direction from above or in the upward direction from below when inserting the finger into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 of the handle part 150 and thus the user can use the other fingers except for the finger (the thumb) and the palm for other operations.

In addition, according to the preference of a user, the user may hold a cup containing contents therein by inserting one or two fingers into the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 formed in the horizontal direction in the center of both side surfaces of the handle part 150, thereby safely carrying, moving, and using cups in various ways depending on the surrounding environment.

Furthermore, in the case of carrying two or three cups having the structure of the present invention at the same time, a user may carry and move two or three cups at the same time by inserting fingers from the top to the bottom into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 formed in the handle part 150 formed on each of the cups, such that it is not necessary to use a mobile container which is used when one user carries and moves a plurality of beverage cups.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings such that a person skilled in the art could easily carry out the present invention. The present invention may be embodied in many different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. It is noted that the drawings are schematic and are not drawn to scale. The relative dimensions and ratios of the parts in the drawings are shown exaggerated or reduced in size for clarity and convenience in the drawings, and such dimensions are merely illustrative and not restrictive. In the drawings, the same structures, elements, or parts have the same reference numerals denoting similar features even though they are illustrated in two or more figures.

Hereinafter, the technical features of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In a cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to the present invention, when forming a handle on the outer surface of a main body 100 having an open upper surface and a closed lower surface so as to form a space therein, a vertical finger insertion hole 140 is formed in the vertical direction in a handle part 150 formed integrally on the outer surface of the main body 100 and a horizontal finger insertion hole 160 is formed in the horizontal direction in the middle of the outer surface of the handle part 150.

The handle part 150 may have the vertical finger insertion hole 140 formed to be opened in the vertical direction at one position only in the upper surface of the handle part 150 as in a second embodiment of the present invention or at two positions in both the upper surface and the lower surface of the handle part 150 as in a third embodiment of the present invention.

In addition, although the vertical finger insertion hole 140 is illustrated as being formed to be opened only in the upper surface of the handle part 150 in the second embodiment of the present invention, the vertical finger insertion hole 140 may be provided only in the lower surface of the handle part 150.

In addition, in the case where the handle part 150 has the vertical finger insertion holes 140 formed at two positions in both the upper surface and the lower surface of the handle part 150 as in the third embodiment of the present invention, the vertical finger insertion holes 140 may be symmetrical or asymmetric, wherein the shape of the vertical finger insertion holes 140 may be formed to be any one of circular, elliptical, triangular, and rectangular shapes.

That is, the holes of the vertical finger insertion holes 140 and the holes of the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 formed in the handle part 150 are shown in a triangular shape in a fourth embodiment of the present invention, and the holes of the vertical finger insertion hole 140 and the holes of the horizontal finger insertion hole 160 formed in the handle part 150 are shown in a rectangular shape in a fifth embodiment of the present invention.

A fifth embodiment of the present invention represents an example, in which a front finger insertion hole 180 is formed in the front surface of the handle part 150 in addition to the vertical finger insertion holes 140 and the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 formed in the handle part 150.

In addition, in the embodiments of the present invention described above, the numbers, shapes and sizes of the vertical finger insertion holes 140 respectively formed in the upper and lower surfaces of the handle part 150 and the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 respectively formed in the left and right side surfaces of the handle part 150 may be the same as each other symmetrically, or the numbers, shapes and sizes thereof may be different from each other asymmetrically, such that the design of the handle part 150 of the present invention may be varied, thereby providing familiar and favorable impression to general consumers.

According to the present invention structured as above, a user may fixedly hold a disposable cup, which has contents therein and is accommodated in a cup holder, in the user's hand by using only one finger (the thumb) by inserting the finger (the thumb) in the downward direction from above or in the upward direction from below when inserting the finger into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 of the handle part 150, and thus the user can use the other fingers except for the finger (the thumb) and the palm for other operations.

That is, as a user inserts the user's thumb into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 of the main body 100, which has contents therein, in the upward direction from below, the user can freely use the other fingers except for the thumb and the palm for other operations, wherein FIG. 8a shows a state, in which a user holds the main body 100 with the other fingers so as to carry the main body 100 more safely.

In addition, FIG. 8b shows a state, in which a user uses a portable electronic device in the user's hand by using the other fingers and the palm, except for the user's thumb inserted into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 from below.

Furthermore, referring to FIG. 8c, as a user inserts the user's thumb into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 of the main body 100, which has contents therein, in the downward direction from above, the user can freely use the other fingers except for the thumb and the palm such that the user can hold the handle of a bag or other items by using the other fingers except for the thumb and the palm.

FIG. 8d shows that a user carries and moves two main bodies 100, which have contents therein, by using two fingers, wherein if the user inserts two fingers into the vertical finger insertion holes 140 respectively provided to the main bodies 100 in the downward direction from above, it is not necessary for the user to use a container or box for moving the two main bodies.

Although FIG. 8d illustrates that two main bodies 100 are moved, it is of course possible to move three cups in the same manner as described above.

FIG. 8e illustrates the use of the present invention in the same way as holding a normal mug, wherein since a user can hold the main body 100, which has contents therein, by using one or two fingers depending on the user's preference and inserting the one or two fingers into the horizontal finger insertion holes 160, which are opened in the horizontal direction in the middle of the both side surfaces of the handle part 150, the user can safely hold the present invention in various ways depending on the surrounding environment.

The vertical finger insertion holes 140 and the horizontal finger insertion holes 160 in the present invention may be formed in the same shape and pattern symmetrically, or different in size, shape, and pattern asymmetrically such that the present invention has the effect of varying the design of the finger insertion holes.

As described above, while the present invention has been described with reference to the embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art, to which the present invention belongs, that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof.

Therefore, the embodiments described above are to be understood as being in all respects illustrative and not restrictive, the scope of the present invention described in the foregoing specification is defined by the appended claims, and all changes or modifications derived from the equivalents of the claims should be interpreted as being included in the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes, characterized in that

when forming a handle on the outer surface of a main body having an open upper surface and a closed lower surface so as to form a space therein,
a vertical finger insertion hole is formed in the vertical direction in a handle part formed integrally on the outer surface of the main body and a horizontal finger insertion hole is formed in the horizontal direction in the middle of the outer surface of the handle part.

2. A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to claim 1, wherein the handle part has one to three vertical finger insertion holes formed therein.

3. A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to claim 1, wherein the handle part has one to four horizontal finger insertion holes formed therein.

4. A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to claim 1, wherein the handle part has a front finger insertion hole formed in the front surface of the handle part in addition to the vertical finger insertion holes and the horizontal finger insertion holes respectively formed in the handle part.

5. A cup handle having multidirectional finger insertion holes according to claim 1, wherein the shape of the vertical finger insertion hole and the horizontal finger insertion hole formed in the handle part is any one of circular, elliptical, triangular, and rectangular shapes.
