SPORTS PERFORMANCE VEST THAT FACILITATES ABSORPTION OF PERSPIRATION AND REGULATES BODY TEMPERATURE

A sports apparel item made from fabric that is used for wiping perspiration, regulating human body temperature and for covering the top of the head, chest, neck and back, which includes a hood with draw string and an opening in the back for long hair to pass through the invention, attached to an opening in the center of a diamond shaped, vest like, moisture -absorbent garment, that has been folded into an inverse triangle. The front of the garment is identified by the split directly up the center of the chest, which creates two separate vertical finished edges that make it possible for it to be donned like a vest, and to easily wipe perspiration from the head and face on the go without having to remove the invention.

Description
BACKGROUND

Active people, particularly athletes use towels to dry sweat from their bodies, regulate body temperature and shelter their head, neck and chest from the cold. Towels are available in many different sizes, sometimes towels are inconvenient to carry, and it can be difficult to keep it in position while performing an activity.

SUMMARY

In some embodiments, the invention is directed to be worn over the head, shoulders, upper chest, and upper back to absorb perspiration during activities. Member 8 and 9, covering the chest could have the ability to open and be used to wipe sweat from the face and head. Attached to the upper back portion of the garment is a hood that receives the head and provides shelter for the neck. A pouch is attached to the inside of the hood near the back of the neck that can be used to store heat and cold packs that regulate body temperature.

In some embodiments, the invention is made from terrycloth fabric of different sizes, thicknesses, qualities, and colors.

In some embodiments, the hood may be oversized.

In some embodiments, the hood may have a draw string.

In some embodiments, the hood can be formed in to different shapes, likenesses, and designs.

In some embodiments, the hood can have a silk interior liner.

In some embodiments, the hood, chest cross section, and back cross section may be decorated with logos, likenesses, designs and patterners.

In some embodiments, the chest and back sections may come together to form a diamond shape or any other shape, of any size.

In some embodiments, the invention can be made of heat and cold inducing fabric.

In some embodiments, the invention can be made of ultra violet light resistant or repelling fabric.

In some embodiments, the invention can be made from different blends of fabric.

FIGS. 1-3 illustrate a sports performance vest that facilitates the absorption of perspiration and regulates body temperature for facilitating active lifestyles according to one embodiment of the invention. Garment 1 includes body member 5-14 defining the connecting seams at member 5, 6, 10, and 11 for attaching garment 2. In this embodiment garment 1 is diamond shaped with an opening in its center to accommodate the average sized humans' neck at member 5, 6,10, and 11.

In some embodiments, body member 12 and 13 are cut to rest comfortably over the shoulders and generally form a trapezoid like shape at the outer edge.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 are made of an absorbent fabric.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 are made of a fabric that repels moisture.

In some embodiments, garment 2 has a non-insulated pouch, member 16 connected to member 7 on FIG. 2 providing a housing to insert the heat and cold packs needed to regulate human body temperature.

In some embodiments, garment 2 is made with a drawstring member 15.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 may be fabricated via cut and sew from a printed or digital pattern.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 are connected at member 5, 6, 10, and 11.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 join at member 5,6 10, and 11 to form an opening for long hair to pass through the assembled garment in FIG. 3 at member 7.

In some embodiments, member 8 and 9 can be connected using a zipper, draw string, Velcro, snaps or buttons.

In some embodiments, garment 1 and 2 may have a hypoallergenic fabric liner member 17 for sensitive skin.

In some embodiments, FIG. 2 has two seams connecting member 3 and 4 to eliminate the pointiness of the hood.

It should be readily apparent that garment 1 and 2 can be constructed wholly or partially of any shape desired. Including, for example, spherical, square, diamond, trapezoid or combinations thereof.

The embodiments described above and illustrated in the figures are presented by way of example only and are not intended as a limitation upon the concepts and principles of the present invention. As such, it will be appreciated by one having ordinary skill in the art that various changes in the elements and their configuration and arrangement are possible without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Claims

1. A sports performance vest that facilitates the absorption of perspiration and helps regulate body temperature for facilitating active lifestyles according to one embodiment of the invention, comprising of a terrycloth hood with draw string, connected to a vest like garment, that has a fabric liner for sensitive skin, the garment is in the shape of a diamond, to make it easier to tuck underneath a coat, jacket, or clothing. The hood and vest come together at the back of the neck to form an opening for long hair to pass through the invention.

2. As recited in claim 1, wherein the vest part of the garment is generally shaped like a diamond with the chest side vertically separated at the center to simplify donning the invention.

3. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood can have a draw string to help maintain its position on the body.

4. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood is generally connected to the diamond shaped vest like garment.

5. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood can have a non-insulated pouch that holds heat cold packs, attached on the inside of the hood, near the back of the neck.

6. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood can have an opening at the back of the neck below the non-insulated pouch that allows long hair to pass through the invention.

7. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood and vest like garment can be made of different materials.

8. As recited in claim 1, wherein the hood and vest like garment can be made with an inner lining for fragile hair and sensitive skin.
