Abstract

A wearable hair-grooming device, including a main body to receive a hand of a user therein, a plurality of bristle-receiving sections disposed on at least a portion of a bottom surface of the main body, and a plurality of bristles disposed on at least a portion of each of the plurality of bristle-receiving sections to brush hair of the user in response to moving at least one of the hand and at least one finger of the user thereon.

This application claims the benefit of, and incorporates by reference, U.S. provisional patent application Ser. No. 62/822,260, entitled “Wearable Hair-Grooming Device,” which was filed on Mar. 22, 2019.

BACKGROUND

1. Field

The present general inventive concept relates generally to a hair-grooming device, and particularly, to a wearable hair-grooming device.

2. Description of the Related Art

For many individuals, hair brushing can be a tedious task that is often avoided altogether. Hairbrushes are cumbersome and usually require a user to orient a hand in an uncomfortable position.

Therefore, there is a need for a wearable device that helps the user groom hair, but in a comfortable manner.

SUMMARY

The present general inventive concept provides a wearable hair-grooming device.

Additional features and utilities of the present general inventive concept will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the general inventive concept.

The foregoing and/or other features and utilities of the present general inventive concept may be achieved by providing a wearable hair-grooming device, including a main body to receive a hand of a user therein, a plurality of bristle-receiving sections disposed on at least a portion of a bottom surface of the main body, and a plurality of bristles disposed on at least a portion of each of the plurality of bristle-receiving sections to brush hair of the user in response to moving at least one of the hand and at least one finger of the user thereon.

The main body may be a glove.

The plurality of bristle-receiving sections may be removable.

The wearable hair-grooming device may further include a liquid-holding container removably disposed within at least a portion of the main body to store at least one liquid therein, and a button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to dispense the at least one liquid from the liquid-holding container through the plurality of bristles in response to depressing the button.

FIG. 1 illustrates a bottom perspective view of a wearable hair-grooming device 100, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

The wearable hair-grooming device 100 may be constructed from at least one of vinyl coated, vinyl coated synthetic fiber mesh, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane coated waterproof ripstop nylon, canvas, duck cloth, neoprene, rubber, metal, and plastic, cotton, wool, polyester, etc., but is not limited thereto. Moreover, the material may be quick drying after exposure to a liquid, such as water.

The wearable hair-grooming device 100 may include a main body 110, but is not limited thereto.

Referring to FIG. 1, the main body 110 is illustrated to be a glove. However, the main body 110 may be a fingerless glove, a mitten, a plastic handle to slide a hand inside that wraps between a pinky and any pointer finger, etc., but is not limited thereto. The main body 110 may be of any predetermined size, such as small, medium, large, and/or one size fits all.

The main body 110 may include a hand-receiving aperture 110a, a plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111, a liquid-holding container 112, and a button 113, but is not limited thereto.

The plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 may include a plurality of bristles 111a, but is not limited thereto.

Referring to FIG. 1, the plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 are illustrated to be disposed on at least a portion of a center of a bottom surface of the main body 110 and at least a portion of each of a plurality of finger portions. In other words, the plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 may be disposed on a palm portion of the main body 110 and each of the plurality of finger portions. However, the plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 may be disposed at any feasible location on the main body 110, such as an entire surface of the main body 110.

The plurality of bristles 111a may include a plurality of short bristles, a plurality of long bristles, a plurality of soft bristles, a plurality of hard bristles, and/or any combination thereof, but is not limited thereto.

The plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 may be removably disposed on the main body 110. Specifically, a user may remove any one of the plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 to replace and/or connect an alternative of the plurality of bristles 111a as desired. For example, the palm portion may have short and/or soft bristles and the plurality of finger portions may have long and/or hard bristles.

The plurality of bristles 111a may be applied against a portion of a surface of a head of the user. Specifically, the plurality of bristles 111a may be move laterally across the head of the user to style hair as desired by the user. Moreover, the user may use any finger to brush hair without orienting at least one hand of the user in an uncomfortable position.

The hand-receiving aperture 110a may receive the at least one hand of the user therein when the user inserts the at least one hand inside the main body 110. As such, the user may apply pressure using the at least one hand more effectively than using a brush. Furthermore, the user may use the plurality of bristles 111a on a certain finger to isolate that portion to brush the hair.

The liquid-holding container 112 may include at least one tube 112a, but is not limited thereto.

The liquid-holding container 112 may be removably disposed within at least a portion of the main body 110. The liquid-holding container 112 may contain any type of a liquid as desired by the user, such as water, hair gel, shampoo, conditioner, hair stimulant, hair fragrance, and/or any combination thereof. When the liquid-holding container 112 is empty, the user may insert another liquid-holding container 112 therein and/or replenish the liquid within the liquid-holding container 112. Alternatively, the user may exchange the type of liquid to another liquid as desired by the user. For example, the user may replace the liquid-holding container 112 having shampoo to another liquid-holding container 112 having hair-gel.

The user may press the button 113 to release the liquid within the liquid-holding container 112, such that the liquid moves through the at least one tube 112a and may be dispensed from the plurality of bristles 111a.

As such, the user may apply the liquid during usage of the wearable hair-grooming device 100.

Also, the wearable hair-grooming device 100 may be waterproof. As such, the wearable hair-grooming device 100 may be used in a water environment, such as a bath, a shower, a pool, and an ocean, etc., but is not limited thereto.

The present general inventive concept may include a wearable hair-grooming device 100, including a main body 110 to receive a hand of a user therein, a plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 disposed on at least a portion of a bottom surface of the main body 110, and a plurality of bristles 111a disposed on at least a portion of each of the plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 to brush hair of the user in response to moving at least one of the hand and at least one finger of the user thereon.

The main body 110 may be a glove.

The plurality of bristle-receiving sections 111 may be removable.

The wearable hair-grooming device 100 may further include a liquid-holding container 112 removably disposed within at least a portion of the main body 110 to store at least one liquid therein, and a button 113 disposed on at least a portion of the main body 110 to dispense the at least one liquid from the liquid-holding container 112 through the plurality of bristles 111a in response to depressing the button 113.

Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. A wearable hair-grooming device, comprising:

a main body to receive a hand of a user therein;

a plurality of bristle-receiving sections disposed on at least a portion of a bottom surface of the main body; and

a plurality of bristles disposed on at least a portion of each of the plurality of bristle-receiving sections to brush hair of the user in response to moving at least one of the hand and at least one finger of the user thereon.

2. The wearable hair-grooming device of claim 1, wherein the main body is a glove.

3. The wearable hair-grooming device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of bristle-receiving sections are removable.

4. The wearable hair-grooming device of claim 1, further comprising:

a liquid-holding container removably disposed within at least a portion of the main body to store at least one liquid therein; and

a button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to dispense the at least one liquid from the liquid-holding container through the plurality of bristles in response to depressing the button.
