Workout style leggings have become very popular, and are often worn by women in many circumstances. The workout leggings fit snug and hence show a woman's curves.

However, leggings often also show too much of the body in a way that makes some women feel immodest.

While the leggings should show the woman's curves, a purpose of the present application is to allow a woman to have modesty by subtley blocking view of a woman's lower body parts.

In one embodiment, the leggings formed of stretch material, having a top waistband, and an area covering legs and buttocks with the stretch material. The skirt is formed of T-shirt like material, e.g. cotton.

The inventor recognized that carrying out certain activities including gym activities while wearing leggings may cause a woman to be concerned that they are revealing too much of their body shape. The women often unconsciously limit their movements, and in doing, lose the proper level of activity performance.

An embodiment describes leggings with an attached skirt cover-up which covers the rear of the leggings down to a level of the buttocks. The skirt automatically covers private parts, and provides mobility and performance while allowing the user not to worry about the skirt moving or detaching.

Multiple different embodiments are described herein. An embodiment describes a special skirt, and leggings, formed of a skirt like material in the shape of a t shirt that covers the entire buttocks area at the rear of the leggings and also has a part for covering areas of the front of the leggings.

In one embodiment, the skirt which is attached to the leggings has the shape and fashion of a baseball T. The leggings have the skirt attached at a location to have its top be higher that the rear hips of the individual wearing the leggings, and then wrap around the waist right below the navel which will coverthe stomach area and to be more conservative and secure offering a more physique inclined design. In one embodiment also, there can be a pocket in the leggings at a location under the attached skirt, e.g., at the seam in the leggings, where the pocket, and the bulkiness of the pocket when items are located therein, will not be seen.

An embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 through 3, which show the leggings 100 with the attached skirt 110. FIG. 1 shows the front view, showing the leggings 100, having a top waist portion 105. The skirt portion 110 is attached to the top waist portion 105 so that the top of the skirt extends above the waist portion. The front portion of the skirt portion is a thin portion 111, which can be tied or otherwise clasped at the front to cover the crotch portion and to hold the skirt portion into place. The thin portion 111 gradually increases in thickness at 112, towards the back of the leggings which are shown in FIG. 2. At the area of the buttocks, the skirt extends down to a longer portion 120 which completely covers the buttocks in a similar way to the way that a skirt covers buttocks. The skirt 100 is sewn to the top waistband 105 of the leggings at least in the rear of the leggings, at stitch line 105. In one embodiment, the skirt is not attached to the leggings in the front at the thin portion 111.

In an embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the arms of the skirt can be tied in the front to form a bow shown as 130. The bow extends downward covering the front private portions of the wearer. In this embodiment, the ends of the skirt have a generally tapered and pointed shape shown as 135.

FIG. 3 shows more details on the rear of the skirt, having a length to just cover the buttocks, and having a width again to just cover the buttocks extending from side to side of the skirt.

In another embodiment, the tie in the front is formed from sheet material, that a constant length across the entire material. This second embodiment uses a skirt as shown in FIG. 4 where the material 400 of the skirt covers the buttocks, and the top portion of the skirt 410 is formed of a material of a constant width. In an embodiment as shown, the skirt can be of a first color at area 400, and the tie which covers the front of the users body can be of a second color.

In an embodiment, the skirt can be formed of T-shirt material, attached or sown to the waistband of the leggings. The ties of the skirt are flat. The skirt is tied higher than the rear and hips of the individual and thus wrap around the rear of the waist, and can be tied in front right below the navel which covers the stomach area and provides more conservative covering.

The invention provides modesty while maintaining physique. Skirts cover too much of the hips of the lower body, making the individual feel overweight and uncomfortable because so much of the lower body is being covered. The present application gives the consumer more flowy feel and look while not worrying about the movement of the skirt due to it being detached since it is attached to the leggings in a way that provides showing too much. By attaching the leggings or the skirt to the waistband of the leggings, the attachment as at the top side portion as shown in 300. Another attachment can be at the top side portion 305 so that the side portion 310 is on some level attached to the waistband also, and prevents the skirt from moving too much during movement of the consumer.

The invention provides mobility and privacy while covering the rear up to the mid thigh and in between the legs of the female consumer. In addition, when the skirt is attached to the waist of the leggings, this helps with the skirt not moving and getting loose to require adjustments to maintain performance.

In another embodiment, there is a clasp at the front of the skirt, which can receive the arms to hold the arms in exactly the right place.

FIG. 5 illustrates an alternative embodiment, where there is one or more pockets shown as 500 sown into the leggings under the skirt. Since the pockets are sown under the skirt, anything in the pockets cannot be seen.

The previous description of the disclosed exemplary embodiments is provided to enable any person skilled in the art to make or use the present invention. Various modifications to these exemplary embodiments will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the generic principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the embodiments shown herein but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and novel features disclosed herein.
