Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is on field of holster for a firearm, and particularly, to a holster that can be used by several types of different firearms.

BACKGROUND

It is known that adjustments can be made on a holster to improve its safety and small adaptations to host firearms with more safety.

Most part of the holster and locking systems uses, nowadays, some type of latch that get in the trigger guard and that, on any fail, can touch the trigger and fire the gun accidentally.

Document US 2018/0202763 describes a retention system adjustable for a holster, which can be temporarily or permanently coupled to it, including, at least, one retention protrusion, projecting from a base surface of the device.

Document US 2018/0347940 also describes a holster with adapting elements where the cavity shape and consequently the gun, can be adjusted and that allows the adjust of the retention strength of the gun inside the holster.

Document EP 3413009 describes a holster assembly capable of adjusting a gun in position inside it. The shape of the gun can be adjusted from a channel for the trigger guard and a retention element to maintain the gun inside the holster.

However, it would be desirable a holster that could allocate a large number of different firearm types, even with asymmetric trigger guard, maintaining the safety and the speed while drawing the gun. Guns of diverse dimensions, with diverse trigger guard sizes, that could be used on the same holster with a few and easy adjustments.

In this manner, present invention was developed, in order to create a range of adjustments that allows different types of guns to be allocated inside the same holster, with minimum adjustment, and also maintaining the safety and speed while drawing the gun.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Present application shows a unique closed holster that can be used by all types of semiautomatic short firearm, without the risk of any part entering the trigger guard as locking system, eliminating any chance of a part of the holster to touch the trigger, and thus avoiding risks during use.

The way that the gun is locked on the holster is unique, and creates two force vectors on the inferior parts of the trigger guard and of the frame, pushing the gun upwards, until the bolt touches the upper part of the holster. In this way, the gun is secured by pressure without the existence of any part or piece entering the trigger guard or getting close to the trigger.

One of the usability of the product is on the sports environment, in practical shot competitions. Present application allows a competitive advantage to the athletes because, further than allowing the draw of the gun with huge speed, the lever system of competition allows the perfect positioning of the holster in relation to the body of the athlete and, consequently, the access of the hand of the athlete to the firearm is extremely facilitated, providing an extremely fast and safe draw of the gun.

This invention can be used by almost the totality of the pistols used on the sport of practical, dynamic, etc. shot. The adjustment of one gun to the other is made extremely simple, fast and safe by only two screws.

As can be seen on FIG. 1, a lever allows the holster adjustment together with the body.

The frontal stop (small or large) presented by FIG. 2 is mounted on the frontal stop support and allows the fine adjustment of the position of the gun barrel on the inferior part of the holster. This stop creates a force vector orthogonal to the gun barrel, and allows the gun to be secure under pressure, not allowing horizontal movement of it.

The rear stop (small or medium or large) of the holster presented by FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 of present invention is fixed together with the back-stop support and allows the adjustment of the trigger guard on the holster, according to the gun to be used. Even asymmetric trigger guards can be fixed by this device. This adjustment is important once it is made externally, without the need of entering any part on the trigger, which provides more safety, because no part of the holster touches the trigger, avoiding any accidental shot. The rear stop also creates an orthogonal vector to the trigger guard, allowing the fixing of the gun under pressure.

The holster fairing presented by FIG. 7 is the main structure of the holster, where the supports and stops are fixed, allowing the perfect adjustment of a huge number of different types of guns on the holster, with the proper safety.

The zigzag disk presented on FIG. 8, secured to the holster lever allows the regulation of the belt lever, which is shown on FIG. 13. Being possible a regulation for any position as necessary. Thus, allows the holster to be used for several purposes.

The front stop support shown on FIG. 10 is coupled together with the frontal stop (small or large) and allows the adjust of the gun horizontally, causing the muzzle of the barrel to be neither too high nor going beyond the lower limit of the holster, allowing the perfect adjustment of the muzzle of the barrel to the lower end of the holster, whatever the weapon is.

The rear stop support presented on FIG. 11 is coupled to the rear stop, and allows the adjustment of the gun laterally, adjusting the trigger guard from outside, allowing even the use with asymmetric trigger guards, thus avoiding any risk of any external part to touch the trigger and generate an accidental firing.

The assembly of the holster set is shown on its exploded view by FIG. 12, with an example embodiment, but not limited to, the parts that can be used for such adjustment.

The holster of present invention on FIG. 13 is mounted with an embodiment of a lever (NYLON), presented on FIG. 1.

The holster of present invention mounted with a second embodiment of lever (IXEF) is shown on FIG. 14.

The Penguin insert, presented on FIG. 15, together with the insert of the personalized area can be used in any side of the holster fairing depending on whether they are mounted to a right-handed or left-handed person.

It will be appreciated from the foregoing that numerous modifications and variations may be made without departing from the true spirit and scope of the novel concepts of the present invention. It is to be understood that no limitation with respect to the specific embodiments illustrated is intended or should be inferred. The description is intended to cover all such modifications falling within the scope of the invention.
