This application claims the benefit of U.S. Application No. 62/801,082, entitled “Golf Glove Retaining System”, filed on Feb. 4, 2019, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD

Some implementations relate generally to golfing equipment, and, more particularly, to a golf glove retaining system.

BACKGROUND

Golfers frequently use one or more gloves during play. In between holes, while driving a golf cart, for example, a golfer my remove his or her gloves to let the hands air out and dry. Frequently, the gloves are placed into the back pocket of the golfer's pants or shorts. This may keep the gloves from drying out effectively.

Embodiments were conceived in light of the above mentioned problems and limitations, among other things.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIG. 1 is a diagram of a first side of an example golf glove retaining system 100 in accordance with some implementations. The system includes a first portion 102 and a second portion 104 joined by an elastic member 106. The first side of the first portion 102 and the second portion 104 can include a hook (or loop) fastener material. The elastic member 106 can be constructed to be operable to hold the golf glove retaining system 100 to a frame member of a golf cart and prevent the golf glove retaining system from sliding down the frame member when one or more golf gloves are attached.

FIG. 2 is a diagram of a second side of the example golf glove retaining system 100 in accordance with some implementations. A second side 202 of the first portion 102 and a second side 204 of the second portion 104 are shown. The second sides (202, 204) can include a loop (or hook) corresponding to the material on the first side of the first and second portions (102, 104) such that the second side is operable to releasably attach to the first side when the golf glove retaining system is wrapped around a frame member of a golf cart such that the first portion and the second portion at least partially overlap and the two portions releasably attach to each other.

FIG. 3 is a diagram of a first side of an example golf glove retaining system 100 showing expansion of an elastic portion 106 in accordance with some implementations.

FIG. 4 is an exploded diagram of an example golf glove retaining system 100 in accordance with some implementations. The golf glove retaining system 100 includes first side materials (e.g., hook or loop) for first and second portions (102 and 104) an elastic member 106 (can extend the full width of the first and second portions or extend partially across the width of the first and/or second portions). The golf glove retaining system 100 also includes second side material (e.g., loop or hook to engage the first side material) for the first and second portions (202 and 204).

FIG. 5 is a diagram of the golf glove retaining system 100 installed on a golf cart 502 in accordance with some implementations. A pair of golf gloves (504 and 506) are shown being prepared to be attached to the golf glove retaining system 100. The exposed side of the golf glove retaining system 100 provides loop (or hook) material that can be used to attached the golf gloves (504 and 506) to using the complementary material on the golf glove fastener (e.g., either hook or loop material). Ideally, the exposed material of the golf glove retaining system 100 will permit the golf gloves 504 and 506 to be attached using the tab of the fastener used to secure the gloves on a wearer (as shown in FIG. 6).

FIG. 6 is a diagram of the golf glove retaining system 100 installed on a golf cart 502 and having golf gloves attached 602 in accordance with some implementations.

While some implementations have been described in terms of a general embodiment with several specific modifications, it is recognized that persons skilled in this art will readily perceive many other modifications and variations of the embodiments described above within the spirit and scope of the disclosed subject matter. Applicant intends to embrace any and all such modifications, variations and embodiments.

Claims

1. A golf glove retaining system, comprising:

a first portion having a first side and a second side;

a second portion having a first side and a second side; and

an elastic member joining the first portion and the second portion,

wherein the first side of the first portion and the first side of the second portion include a first material,

wherein the second side of the first portion and the second side of the second portion include a second material operable to releasably engage the first material when the golf glove retaining system is wrapped around a frame member of a golf cart such that the first portion and the second portion at least partially overlap and attach to each other,

wherein a golf glove is releasably attachable to either the first material or the second material, and

wherein the elastic member is constructed to be operable to hold the golf glove retaining system to a frame member of a golf cart and prevent the golf glove retaining system from sliding down the frame member when one or more golf gloves are releasably attached to the golf glove retaining system via a third material on the golf gloves that is operable to releasably attach to one of the first material or the second material.
