Description

The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 62/878,479 filed on Jul. 25, 2019. The current application is filed on Jul. 27, 2020 while Jul. 25, 2020 and Jul. 26, 2020 were on a weekend.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to an artificial strip eyelash. More particularly, the present invention relates to an artificial eyelash that uses a malleable band.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Modern artificial eyelashes are uncomfortable to wear and are very difficult to apply. These conventional artificial eyelashes comprise a rigid plastic component that does not move well with the user's eyes. They are also applied to superior portion of the eyelash making it difficult for the user to visualize how they are applying the strip lash. Currently, there are no artificial eyelashes that are designed to be applied to underneath portion of the eyelash. In addition, no other strip lash lacks a rigid plastic component or support strip. Therefore, it is an objective of the present invention to provide a more comfortable, shape conforming artificial eyelash that conforms along a wearer's eyelid.

The present invention aims to solve these problems. The present invention attaches to the underneath portion, using a malleable adhesive band. The present invention is an artificial eyelash that uses a malleable band that is to be applied to the inferior portion of the natural eyelash. The present invention lacks a rigid plastic component or supportive strip, creating an artificial eyelash that forms naturally to the user's eye. The present invention can be visualized the over the whole course of time during application, making it easier and quicker to apply. The present invention is an eyelash designed to be applied to the inferior portion of the lash, supporting and blending in seamlessly with the user's natural lashes. This eliminates the use of eyeliner or mascara to hide gaps that are created when a lash is applied to the superior portion of the natural eyelash.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a shape conforming artificial eyelash. The shape conforming artificial eyelash comprises a flexible base strip, a plurality of artificial lashes, and an adhesive. The shape conforming artificial eyelash is a more flexible eyelash that conforms to the wearer's eyelid profile. Conventional eyelashes comprise a semi-flexible, rope-like adhesive base. This rope like base comprises strings that stiffen the base, resulting in a stiff and uncomfortable artificial eyelash. The shape conforming artificial eyelash eliminates the need for fibrous reinforcements that stiffens the adhesive base, resulting in a more flexible, shape conforming artificial eyelash that is comfortable for the user. The flexible base strip extends between a first end and a second end. Each of the plurality of artificial lashes extends between a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end of each of the plurality of artificial lashes is connected to the flexible base strip. The plurality of artificial lashes is distributed along the flexible base strip between the first end and the second end. The adhesive is distributed along the flexible base strip opposite to the plurality of artificial lashes, where the adhesive is configured to attach to an inferior portion of a human eyelid. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the adhesive utilized in this application encompasses any paste, suspension, emulsion, ointment, cream, gel, or any other similar semi-solid adhesive which possesses sufficient adhesive qualities to stick to and subsequently remain on the surface of a human eyelid for several hours, even with frequent movement of the eyelid, but will remain semisolid for a considerable period of time after application. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shape conforming artificial eyelash may take the form of any shape, size, color, and/or style that complements user's appearance.
