UNDERGARMENT AND SWIMWEAR ORGANIZER DEVICE
A device for organizing and/or displaying garments comprises a support body and at least three protrusions extending from the support body. The garments have a waistband, a front portion and a rear strip connecting the waistband to the front portion. The front portion and the rear strip define a crotch section. The support body defines a peripheral edge and front and rear faces. The three protrusions provide for mounting the garment thereto with the garment extending between the three protrusions along one of the front and rear faces. Two of the three protrusions receive the waistband thereon and a third protrusion receives the crotch section.
The present application claims on priority on U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 62/884,244 filed on Aug. 8, 2019 and incorporated herein in its entirety.
TECHNICAL FIELDThe present disclosure generally relates to organizing, hanging and/or displaying garments such as undergarments and swimwear. More particularly but not exclusively the present disclosure relates to an undergarment and swimwear organizer device.
BACKGROUNDUndergarments are items of clothing worn beneath outer clothing including thongs and G-strings. Swimwear includes bikinis which is typically a women's two-piece swimsuit, namely top and bottom pieces. The bottom piece of this swimwear is like an undergarment such as a thong and G-string. The thong is a garment generally worn as either underwear or as a swimsuit. Viewed from the front, the thong typically resembles a bikini bottom, but at the back the material is reduced to a minimum. The back of the garment typically consists of a thin waistband and a thin strip of material. One type of thong is the G-string, the back of which consists only of a string. Undergarments/swimwear such as thongs and G-strings are difficult to fold as they are comprised of fine strips of material and are thus typically thrown into drawers at home thus potentially damaging the material. Such undergarments/swimwear are also difficult to display on store shelves or hangers since they tend to simply bundle up due to their small size as well as the elastic waistband and sting (for G-strings).
OBJECTSAn object of the present disclosure is to provide a device for organizing garments such as undergarments and swimwear.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a device for hanging garments such as undergarments and swimwear.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a device for displaying garments such as undergarments and swimwear.
SUMMARYIn accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a device for organizing and/or displaying garments having a waistband a front portion and a rear strip connecting the waistband to the front portion, the front portion and the rear strip defining a crotch section, the device comprising: a support body defining a peripheral edge and front and rear faces; and at least three protrusions extending from the support body for mounting the garment thereto with the garment extending between the three protrusions along one of the front and rear faces, wherein two of the three protrusions receive the waistband thereon and a third protrusion receives the crotch section.
In an embodiment, the support body comprises a panel.
In an embodiment, the least one of the front and rear faces defines holes for receiving the protrusions.
In an embodiment, the support body is perforated through the front and rear faces to provide holes for receiving the protrusions therethrough.
In an embodiment, the protrusions are removably mounted to the support body. In an embodiment, the support body defines three corner sections thereof, each protrusion being positioned near a respective one of the three corner sections. In an embodiment, the support body comprises a generally triangular configurations defining three sides thereof. In an embodiment, the at least two protrusions are positioned near a respective one of at least two of the three corner sections.
In an embodiment, the protrusions comprise a neck portion and a top head acting as a stopper for stopping the garment mounted to the neck portion from sliding off.
In an embodiment, one set of the least three protrusion extend from the front face and another set of the at least three protrusions extend from the rear face. In an embodiment, each of the at least three protrusion extending from the front face is aligned with a respective one of the at least three protrusions extending from the rear face.
In an embodiment, the protrusions comprise hooks.
In an embodiment, the support body is flat to be stackable with other like support bodies.
In an embodiment, the device further comprises a hanging hook mounted to the support body for hanging the device. In an embodiment, the hanging hook is pivotally mounted to the support body.

In an embodiment of the above device, the support body comprises indicia for indicating positioning of garments of difference sizes.
In an embodiment of the above device, the support body is flat to be stackable with other like support bodies.
The present devices provide for organizing garments with waistbands, and front portions and rear slips that form crotch sections therebetween. These types of garments are difficult to stack as they are small and get easily crumpled. The devices allow to place them in a neat, extended fashion between three protrusion contact points for the waistband side ends and the crotch section forming a triangular shape. In this way, the garments are neatly kept, they are easy to organize and place in a drawer as many support bodies can be stacked on top of each other. Moreover, many garments can be positioned on a support body. The devices can be hung and as such, the devices act as hangers. The devices herein provide for organizing and storing the garments but also for displaying the garments in a store or the like either by hanging or placing the devices in various positions on shelves and the like.
