GRIP CLEANING DEVICE
A grip cleaning device for cleaning handle grips comprising a tubular cleaning material soaked with cleaning product and fitted inside a tubular outer sleeve wherein the handle grip is inserted into the hole of said tubular cleaning material and moved up and down the tubular cleaning material to clean the handle grip. The tubular outer sleeve can also be partially torn to expose the tubular cleaning material and allow to clean other objects.
This application does not claim the benefit of pending application.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the InventionThe present invention is generally related to a grip clean device, a specifically, toward a grip cleaning device that can be utilized to clean a golf club head and a golf club grip.
2. Description of the Related ArtGripping portions of golf clubs, tennis rackets, and like items become sticky, greasy and generally dirty after use and over a period of time. There is a need for grip and handle washers, and there are multiple prior patents disclosing a variety of grip washing devices.
However, the prior grip washers tend to be relatively complicated and relatively expensive including motorized brushes. Several are not environmentally friendly and require the use of liquid detergent which is not convenient when playing golf or tennis for example. Several prior grip washers only clean on side of the grip at a time leading to uneven cleaning and results. Other prior grip cleaners include abrasive brushes that can prematurely age the grip.
There is a need for a simple and inexpensive grip cleaner that is disposable, environmentally friendly, requiring no handling of liquid while providing a consistent gentle cleaning around the grip. The device can be used while playing sports such as golf or tennis and be easily portable. Furthermore, there is a need to combine a grip cleaner with a club head cleaner to limit the amount of devices required to be carried.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe handle grip cleaning device comprises a tubular cleaning material soaked with cleaning product and loosely fitted inside a tubular outer sleeve. The cleaning material has an opening extending internally. One or more handle grips can be slidably inserted into the opening of the tubular cleaning material. The cleaning material may be moved up and down along the grip, allowing the cleaning material to clean the handle grip while holding the tubular outer sleeve.
In another embodiment, a string is attached to the tubular outer sleeve and is used to tear some of the tubular outer sleeve to expose the tubular cleaning material for cleaning one or more object.
The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out in the specification. The present invention now will be described more fully hereinafter This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided by way of illustration only and so that this disclosure will be thorough, complete and will fully convey the full scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and method(s) of use for the present invention constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present invention.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
DETAILED DESCRIPTIONAs illustrated in
The tubular outer sleeve 101 is made of flexible tearable material that is preferably waterproof to prevent the cleaning product to dry.
A string 102 may optionally be secured to the inside of the tubular outer sleeve 100 to tear the tubular outer sleeve 100.
The tubular cleaning material 104 includes an interior cavity 108 having an length and an access hole 110 that is configured to receive a handle grip 106. The length of the tubular cleaning material 104 is slightly longer than the handle grip 106 and the width of the hole 110 is slightly wider than the handle grip 106 such that the handle grip 106 can be inserted and moved in the hole of the tubular cleaning material 104. The tubular outer sleeve 101 is sized to fit the tubular cleaning material 104.
In operation, before the first use, both ends of the tubular outer sleeve 101 are closed, enclosing the cleaning material 104 to keep the tubular cleaning material 104 moist. To utilize cleaning device 100, the end of tubular outer sleeve 101 proximate of the hole 110 is torn open to allow the handle grip 106 to be inserted into the cavity 108.
The tubular shape provides consistent cleaning around the surface of the handle grip 106. Multiple handle grip 106 can be cleaned using the same device.
In another embodiment a string 102 is secured to the inside of the tubular outer sleeve 100.
As illustrated in
The device can be sized to clean any type and sizes of grips, not limited to grips of sporting equipment.
As illustrated in
The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment(s) were chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the present invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.
