Magnetic Stabilizer for Jewelry & Accessories
An improved method and device for stabilizing jewelry or accessories while on a wearer, which prevents the jewelry items from moving about the wearers body into an unwanted orientation using a rare earth or other magnet that is adhered to your body. The device itself is a sort of adhesive with a type of magnet that adheres to the body in any location to stabilize metal accessories or jewelry items.
The present invention is in the field of jewelry and accessories, and is an article of manufacture with a method for maintaining any accessory with a metal clasp or metal part, in the orientation desired by the person wearing it, so the accessory does not move around the wearers body.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONWhen a piece of jewelry is worn, which includes a clasp or metal object point of connection, it tends to frequently move about the wearers body until it is visible and in an unwanted position on the wearer. This can cause embarrassment to the wearer if they are unaware this is happening to them. For example, if the wearers necklace clasp were to rotate to the front, people will often try to correct the situation by suggesting they move the clasp back into the correct position at the nape of the wearers neck. Thus, the wearer must constantly be alert to the changing of positions of their jewelry items.
Therefore, there is an apparent need for stabilizing jewelry while being worn to prevent the jewelry from moving to the incorrect position on the wearers body.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ARTApplicant is aware of the following U.S. patents concerning stabilizing body jewelry:
Hertelendy teaches the insertion of an oval metal loop between the clasps on the end of the necklace for stabilizing.
Fix teaches an attachment of a pendant on a chain to the clasp of a necklace to help stabilize the necklace from falling down the wearers neck
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn one embodiment of the present invention it provides a rare earth magnetic device which is adhered to the skin at any placement on the body that you want to hold a clasp or metal accessory in place. This happens by the magnet being attracted to the clasp and creating a magnetic bond to immobilize the clasp.
The present invention is particularly useful when you have a metal clasp or fastener on the necklace, bracelet, or metal accessory that adheres to a magnet, this will allow the jewelry to adhere to the magnet rendering the jewelry immobile on the body and stopping the unwanted change of positions.
During normal wear, the adhesive rare earth magnet maintains its position where you place it to inhibit the necklace or accessory from rotating about the wearers neck or body and is also waterproof
The present invention can use a rare earth magnet that can have added health benefits for weight loss, migraines, and pain management when placed on parts the body.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTIONThe object of the invention is to provide a new and improved method of stabilizing any metal clasp/fastener or accessory while on the body, which can aid in helping the clasp/fastener not fall into an inappropriate position on the wearer and then have to be re-oriented during wear.
Another object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for stabilizing jewelry while on the wearer to prevent unwanted movement about the body by the clasp adhering to the magnet.
One embodiment of the invention is the rare earth magnet that is used can have added health benefits that can aid in weight loss, help migraines, and lower chronic pain.
It is also an object of the invention to provide an almost invisible look when worn on the body to not disrupt the look of the jewelry.
The foregoing and other objects will be more apparent by referring to the following details and drawings presented below:
The inventor provides a unique method for stabilizing jewelry and accessories in place while they are being worn on the body. This new invention will immobilize any accessory that can be attracted to a magnet by adhering to the body in any position the wearer prefers, The present invention is described in enabling detail in the following examples, which may represent more than one embodiment of the present invention.
It will be apparent to one with skill in the art that the clasp stabilizer for jewelry and accessories invention may be provided using some or all of the mentioned features and components without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. It will also be apparent to the skilled artisan that the embodiments described above are specific examples of a single broader invention which may have greater scope than any of the singular descriptions taught. There may be many alterations made in the descriptions without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. It is to be understood that the foregoing description and specific embodiments are merely illustrative of the best mode of the invention and that various modifications and additions may be made to the apparatus by those skilled in the art, which is therefore understood to be limited only by the scope of the appended claims.
