Description
FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to a hair covering, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a cap that protects the hair and hairstyle.

BACKGROUND

Hairs are one of the important facets of one's personality and have a direct impact on physical appearance. A person generally spends a good amount of time taking care of their hairs and hairstyle. Besides the time, people also pay good amounts of money to hair professionals of hairstyling and hair health.

Hair accessories are available to protect hair and hairstyles during activities including sleep. For example, shower caps are used to keep the hair dry while bathing. Hair wraps and scarfs are used as sleep caps to prevent messy hairs in the morning.

However, the use of wraps and scarf have drawbacks. A wrap or scarf may itself damage the hair or hairstyle. The wraps and scarf can be tight on the head making the hair curled. On the other hand, loose wraps or scarfs may not hold the hair in shape.

Thus, a need is appreciated for a hair covering that could protect the hair and hairstyle. A need is there for a hair covering that holds the hair in shape while sleeping. A need is there for a hair covering that can be adjusted in size to fit a person's head.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is another object of the present invention that the hair covering ensures the upkeep of hairstyle while sleeping.

It still another object of the present invention that the hair covering ensures the upkeep of hairstyle during physical activities.

It is a further object of the present invention that the hair covering is held firmly during sleeping or physical activity without falling off.

It is still a further object of the present invention that the hair covering protects full hairs without any additional accessory.

It is yet another object of the present invention that the hair covering is economical to manufacture.

In one aspect, disclosed is a hair covering comprising a wrap member for covering hairs on scalp of wearer's head. The wrap member is of a cap-like configuration covering the full hairs. The wrap member having a proximal end and a distal end. A first strap extends from the proximal end of the wrap member and a second strap extends from the distal end of the wrap member. The first strap having two hooks, wherein each hook of the two hooks is a male member of hook-and-eye closure. The two hooks spaced apart are arranged side-by-side in a row. The second strap of an elongated configuration having a plurality of eyelets. Each eyelet a female member of the hook-and-eye closure. On the second strap, the plurality of eyelets is arranged in a series of rows spaced apart and parallel to each other. Each row has two eyelets, wherein the series of rows is arranged lengthwise and along the length of the second strap.

These and other objects and advantages of the embodiments herein will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

The following detailed description includes the best currently contemplated mode or modes of carrying out exemplary embodiments of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention will be best defined by the allowed claims of any resulting patent.

Disclosed is a head covering that covers the scalp hairs of a wearer from getting messy during any physical activities including sleeping. A user can wear the disclosed head covering while sleeping to upkeep his hairstyle. Moreover, the disclose head covering can be worn during physical activity to protect the hair and hairstyle. Referring to FIG. 1 which shows an exemplary embodiment of the disclosed hair covering 100. The hair covering 100 having a central section referred herein as the wrap member 110. The wrap member having a proximal end and distal end. The wrap member can be of a bonnet cap like configuration covering full scalp hairs. The warp member when worn can help to maintain healthy hairs and a hairstyle. It can reduce hair problems like split hair caused by keeping the hairs open while sleeping. The wrap member can maintain the lusciousness of styled hair while sleeping or engaging in physical activity. The wrap member can be made of any soft material that has negligible resistance against the scalp hair. Moreover, the material can be having stretchability for comfortable to wear and excellent fit. The periphery of the wrap member can be hemstitched for an aesthetic appearance.

FIG. 1 also shows a first strap 120 that can be coupled to the proximal end of the wrap member 110. The first strap is shown to be of an elongated configuration having an inner side and an outer side. The first strap shown in FIG. 1 is rectangular, however, straps of all shapes are within the scope of the present invention. For example, the tip of the first strap 120 can be rounded. The first strap can be made of any flexible material that can maintain its shape. For example, the first strap can be made of thick cloth or multiple layers of thick cloth. A second strap 130 can also be seen attached to the distal end of the wrap member. The second strap like the first member can be made of similar material and stitched to wrap the member. The second strap can be of an elongate configuration that allows adjusting the size of the hair-covering to fit the head of the user. The second strap also having an inner side and an outer side. FIG. 1 shows the second strap 130 as rectangular, however, the second strap can be of any shape. For example, the tip of the second strap can be rounded.

The first strap can be secured to the second strap through a hook-eye-closure type of fastener. The hook of the fastener can be coupled to the inner side of the first strap 120 while the eye of the fastener can be coupled to the outer side of the second strap. The first strap can overlap the second pad while the hook and eyelet can be clasped securing the first strap to the second strap. The first strap has two spaced hooks arranged in a row. The hook row is near the tip of the first strap and aligned parallel to it. More than one spaced row of hooks can be provided, wherein each row can have two hooks. The hook rows can be arranged lengthwise at equal intervals. The hook can be made of metal wire, wherein the structure and functioning of the hooks are known to a skilled person.

Eyelets of the fastener can be coupled on the outer side of the second strap 130. As shown in FIG. 1, the eyelets 140 are arranged in a series of parallel rows, wherein each row has two eyelets. The rows are arranged lengthwise and at equal intervals. The position of the two eyelets in a row can correspond with the position of two hooks on the first strap. The two hooks of the hook row can clasp with the two eyelets in the eyelet row. FIG. 2 shows the second strap 130 secured to the first strap 120. The size of the disclosed hair covering can be increased by clasping the hooks with eyelets of the extreme eyelet row i.e., the eyelet row at the tip of the second strap. Each successive eyelet row from the tip towards the wrap member results in an incremental decrease in the size of the disclosed head covering. In one case, the eyelet can be a metal eyelet or a threaded bar. The structure and function of eyelets in a hook-and-eyelet closure is known to a skilled person.

While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of ordinary skill to make and use what is considered presently to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should therefore not be limited by the above-described embodiment, method, and examples, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention as claimed.
