A floor cleaning device includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. The horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned. The vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion includes a washing unit. The washing unit includes a rolling brush, a detergent liquid outlet, a detergent liquid tank and a pump. The rolling brush is capable of washing the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank communicates with the detergent liquid outlet. The pump conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the detergent liquid outlet and finally to the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid may serve as an interface active agent of the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid cooperates with the rolling brush to scrub the floor to be cleaned.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Technical Field

The invention relates to home cleansing, particularly to a floor cleaning device.

Related Art

Recently, with the change of social structure, both population of unit family and space are considerably reduced than ever. In addition, with the advance of battery technology, wireless and lightweight home appliances become the mainstream.

A conventional floor cleaning device includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. The horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned. The vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion. The vertical portion is pushed to move the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion includes a rolling brush and a nozzle. The rolling brush is used for washing the floor to be cleaned. The nozzle is disposed beside the rolling brush. The nozzle communicates with a detergent liquid tank which is disposed on the vertical portion. The pump conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the nozzle and the nozzle sprays the detergent liquid to the rolling brush to clean the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank disposed on the vertical portion makes a flowing path of the detergent liquid long, the power consumption of the pump is high, and the overall volume and weight of the floor cleaning device is increased. It is inconvenient for users.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An object of the invention is to provide a floor cleaning device, which can shorten a flowing path of the detergent liquid and lower the power consumption of the pump and the overall volume and weight.

To accomplish the above object, the floor cleaning device of the invention includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. The horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned. The vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion includes a washing unit. The washing unit includes a rolling brush, a detergent liquid outlet, a detergent liquid tank and a pump. The rolling brush is capable of washing the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank communicates with the detergent liquid outlet. The pump conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the detergent liquid outlet and finally to the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid may serve as an interface active agent of the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid cooperates with the rolling brush to scrub the floor to be cleaned.

Wherein the horizontal portion further comprises a filtering unit, the washing unit further comprises a suction channel communicating with the dirty liquid tank, the detergent liquid and dirt are mixed to form dirty liquid, the dirty liquid containing air can enter the dirty liquid tank through the suction channel.

Wherein the horizontal portion further comprises a power unit, the power unit comprises a suction motor disposed to suck dirty liquid with air to the suction channel and emit the air out of the horizontal portion.

Wherein the filtering unit further comprises a vent for emitting air.

Wherein the filtering unit further comprises an airflow channel, the air can enter the airflow channel through an inlet of the airflow channel, an outlet of the airflow channel communicates with the inlet of the suction motor, and the outlet of the suction motor communicates with the vent.

Wherein the filtering unit further comprises a water resistance assembly, the water resistance assembly comprises a float and a blocking plate connected to the float, the float floats in the dirty liquid tank, and the blocking plate can cloak the inlet of the airflow channel.

Wherein the washing unit further comprises a baffle which is rotatably disposed at an outlet of the suction channel, air is separated from the dirty liquid containing air by making the dirty liquid collide with the baffle.

Wherein the washing unit comprises a wiper for contacting with the floor to be cleaned.

Wherein the vertical portion comprises an operating lever which is rotatably disposed on the vertical portion.

Wherein the vertical portion further comprises a handle portion connected to the operating lever.

The floor cleaning device of the invention includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. The vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion. The horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned. A user may move the floor cleaning device on the floor to be cleaned by pushing the vertical portion to clean the floor. The horizontal portion includes a washing unit for washing the floor to be cleaned. The washing unit includes a rolling brush, a detergent liquid outlet, a detergent liquid tank and a pump. The rolling brush is capable of washing the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank communicates with the detergent liquid outlet. The pump conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the detergent liquid outlet and finally to the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid may serve as an interface active agent of the floor to be cleaned. The detergent liquid cooperates with the rolling brush to scrub the floor to be cleaned. In comparison with the detergent liquid tank at the vertical portion and the detergent liquid outlet at the horizontal portion, the flowing path of the detergent liquid is shortened. Also, the power consumption of the pump is reduced and the structure becomes more compact to decrease the space occupied.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of various embodiments. However, various embodiments may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known methods, procedures, components, and circuits have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the particular embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one of skill in the art that the embodiments described herein may be practiced without one or more of these specific details. In other instances, well-known features have not been described to avoid obscuring the details of the present embodiments.

Please refer to FIGS. 1-5. The invention provides a floor cleaning device which includes a horizontal portion 1 and a vertical portion 2. The horizontal portion 1 is capable of moving on a floor 3 to be cleaned. The vertical portion 2 is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion 1. A user may move the floor cleaning device on the floor 3 to be cleaned by pushing the vertical portion 2 to clean the floor 3.

To make the horizontal portion 1 easily move on the floor 3 to be cleaned, the bottom of the horizontal portion 1 is provided with two active wheels 14 and two auxiliary wheels 15. In this embodiment, the active wheels 14 are located at the rear end of the horizontal portion 1, and the active wheel 14 is greater than the auxiliary wheel 15 in diameter. However, a diameter of the active wheel 14 may be equal to or less than that of the auxiliary wheel 15. The active wheels 14 and the auxiliary wheel 15 just provide moving of the horizontal portion 1, so their diameters do not matter.

The horizontal portion 1 is responsible for washing, filtering and storing liquid and provides a power source. The vertical portion 2 is responsible for controlling the operation of the floor cleaning device.

In detail, the horizontal portion 1 includes a washing unit 11, a filtering unit 12 and a power unit 13. The washing unit 11 is used for washing the floor 3 to be cleaned. Dirty liquid will be obtained after the washing unit 11 has washed the floor 3 to be cleaned. The dirty liquid mixed with air is conveyed to the filtering unit 12. The filtering unit 12 implements gas-liquid separation to the dirty liquid with air to emit air out of the floor cleaning device. The power unit 13 provides power the mentioned units.

Please refer to FIGS. 2 and 3. The washing unit 11 includes a rolling brush 111, a detergent liquid outlet, 112 a detergent liquid tank 113 and a pump 114. The rolling brush 111 is capable of washing the floor 3 to be cleaned. The detergent liquid tank 113 is used for storing detergent liquid and communicates with the detergent liquid outlet 112. The pump 114 conveys the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank 113 to the detergent liquid outlet 112 and finally to the floor 3 to be cleaned through the detergent liquid outlet 112. The detergent liquid may serve as an interface active agent of the floor 3 to be cleaned. The detergent liquid cooperates with the rolling brush 111 to scrub the floor to be cleaned. In this embodiment, the detergent liquid outlet 112 is located at the bottom surface of the horizontal portion 1. Both the detergent liquid outlet 112 and the detergent liquid tank 113 are located at the horizontal portion 1. In comparison with the detergent liquid tank 113 at the vertical portion 2 and the detergent liquid outlet 112 at the horizontal portion 1, the flowing path of the detergent liquid is shortened. Also, the power consumption of the pump 114 is reduced and the structure becomes more compact to decrease the space occupied.

In this embodiment, the number of the detergent liquid outlet 112 is multiple. Detergent liquid simultaneously flowing from the multiple detergent liquid outlets 112 makes the detergent liquid more easily cover the whole floor 3 to be cleaned.

Further, the washing unit 11 includes a rolling brush motor 118 whose output end connects to the rolling brush 111. The rolling brush motor 118 drives the rolling brush 111 to roll on the floor 3 to be cleaned.

Further, the washing unit 11 includes a wiper 116 for contacting with the floor 3 to be cleaned. Dirty liquid formed by the detergent liquid and the dirt needs to be collected and storage when moving.

Please refer to FIG. 2. The filtering unit 12 further includes a dirty liquid tank 121. The washing unit 11 further includes a suction channel 115 communicating with the dirty liquid tank 121. Dirty liquid containing air can enter the dirty liquid tank 121 through the suction channel 115.

In this embodiment, the wiper 116 is arranged around the suction channel 115 to spread out the detergent liquid and wash the floor 3 to be cleaned.

Further, the power unit 13 includes a suction motor 131 disposed to suck dirty liquid with air to the suction channel 115 and emit air out of the horizontal portion 1.

Further, the washing unit 11 includes a baffle 117 which is rotatably disposed at an outlet of the suction channel 115. Air can be separated from dirty liquid containing air by making the dirty liquid collide with the baffle 117. Then the dirty liquid flows into the dirty liquid tank 121. Air is emitted out of the horizontal portion 1 by the suction motor 131.

Further, the power unit 13 includes a battery pack 132 for supplying power to the whole floor cleaning device. In this embodiment, the battery pack 132 is arranged in a row with the suction motor 131, and they both are located at a rear end of the horizontal portion 1.

Please refer to FIG. 3. The filtering unit 12 further includes a vent 122 for emitting air. In this embodiment, the vent 122 is located on the bottom surface of the horizontal portion 1.

Please refer to FIG. 4. The filtering unit 12 further includes an airflow channel 123 and an inlet through which the air separated from dirty liquid can enter the airflow channel 123. An outlet of the airflow channel 123 communicates with the inlet of the suction motor 131. The outlet of the suction motor 131 communicates with the vent 122.

Please refer to FIG. 5. When dirty liquid in the dirty liquid tank 121 is too much, the dirty liquid will be sucked by the suction motor 131 to follow air to enter the airflow channel 123 and finally enter the suction motor 131. This will damage the suction motor 131. To prevent this situation, the filtering unit 12 is further provided with a water resistance assembly 124. The water resistance assembly 124 includes a float 1241 and a blocking plate 1242 connected to the float 1241. The float 1241 floats in the dirty liquid tank 121. The blocking plate 1242 can cloak the inlet of the airflow channel 123. A height of the float 1241 varies with a height of dirty liquid in the dirty liquid tank 121 to raise the blocking plate 1242. When a height of dirty liquid in the dirty liquid tank 121 reaches a predetermined height, the blocking plate 1242 will cloaks the inlet of the airflow channel 123 to break the airflow channel 123 for preventing dirty liquid from entering the suction motor 131.

The water resistance assembly 124 further includes a support pillar 1243. Two ends of the support pillar 1243 are separately connected to the float 1241 and the blocking plate 1242. The support pillar 1243 support the whole water resistance assembly 124.

Please refer to FIG. 1. The vertical portion 2 includes an operating lever 24 which is rotatably disposed on the vertical portion 2. A user may adjust an angle between the operating lever 24 and the horizontal portion 1 to increase comfort.

The vertical portion 2 further includes a handle portion 22 connected to the operating lever 24. The handle portion 22 is of an annular shape to provide free holding to users with different height and preference.

The vertical portion further includes a button member 21 for controlling the floor cleaning device. In detail, the button member 21 includes a detergent liquid button 211, a power button 212 and a rolling brush button 213. The detergent liquid button 211 controls the pump 114 to switch on or off When pressing the detergent liquid button 211, the pump 114 is turned on to convey detergent liquid in the detergent liquid tank 113 to the detergent liquid outlet 112 and then supply detergent liquid to the floor 3 to be cleaned for washing the floor 3 to be cleaned. The power button 212 controls the suction motor 131 to switch on or off When pressing the power button 212, the suction motor 131 is turned on to suck dirty liquid containing air and emit air out of the floor cleaning device. The rolling brush button 213 controls the rolling brush motor 118 to switch on or off. When pressing the rolling brush button 213, the rolling brush motor 118 is turned on to rotate the rolling brush 111 for washing the floor 3 to be cleaned.

Further, each of the power button 212 and rolling brush button 213 is provided with an indicator light. The indicator lights may be integrated with the power button 212 and rolling brush button 213 or separated from the power button 212 and rolling brush button 213 and located under a cover 23 below these buttons as shown in this embodiment.

It will be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that the above embodiments have been described by way of example only and not in any limitative sense, and that various alterations and modifications are possible without departure from the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A floor cleaning device comprising:

a horizontal portion; and
a vertical portion;
wherein the horizontal portion is capable of moving on a floor to be cleaned, the vertical portion is rotatably disposed on the horizontal portion, and the horizontal portion comprises a washing unit, the washing unit comprises a rolling brush capable of washing the floor to be cleaned; a detergent liquid outlet; a detergent liquid tank for storing detergent liquid, communicating with the detergent liquid outlet; and a pump arranged to convey the detergent liquid from the detergent liquid tank to the detergent liquid outlet.

2. The floor cleaning device of claim 1, wherein the horizontal portion further comprises a filtering unit, the washing unit further comprises a suction channel communicating with the dirty liquid tank, the detergent liquid and dirt are mixed to form dirty liquid, the dirty liquid containing air can enter the dirty liquid tank through the suction channel.

3. The floor cleaning device of claim 2, wherein the horizontal portion further comprises a power unit, the power unit comprises a suction motor disposed to suck dirty liquid with air to the suction channel and emit the air out of the horizontal portion.

4. The floor cleaning device of claim 3, wherein the filtering unit further comprises a vent for emitting air.

5. The floor cleaning device of claim 4, wherein the filtering unit further comprises an airflow channel, the air can enter the airflow channel through an inlet of the airflow channel, an outlet of the airflow channel communicates with the inlet of the suction motor, and the outlet of the suction motor communicates with the vent.

The floor cleaning device of claim 5, wherein the filtering unit further comprises a water resistance assembly, the water resistance assembly comprises a float and a blocking plate connected to the float, the float floats in the dirty liquid tank, and the blocking plate can cloak the inlet of the airflow channel.

7. The floor cleaning device of claim 2, wherein the washing unit further comprises a baffle which is rotatably disposed at an outlet of the suction channel, air is separated from the dirty liquid containing air by making the dirty liquid collide with the baffle.

8. The floor cleaning device of claim 1, wherein the washing unit comprises a wiper for contacting with the floor to be cleaned.

9. The floor cleaning device of claim 1, wherein the vertical portion comprises an operating lever which is rotatably disposed on the vertical portion.

10. The floor cleaning device of claim 9, wherein the vertical portion further comprises a handle portion connected to the operating lever.
