The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a cigar encasement apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 2 is a side elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 3 is a side elevation view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new cigar accessory device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4, the cigar encasement apparatus 10 generally comprises a mouthpiece 12 having a mouthpiece back end 14, a mouthpiece front end 16, and a mouthpiece sidewall 18 extending therebetween. The mouthpiece sidewall 18 has a cylindrical body portion 20 adjacent the mouthpiece front end 16 and a tapered mouth portion 22 extending from the body portion 20 to the mouthpiece back end 14. The mouthpiece front end 16 has a threaded mouthpiece depression 24 extending towards the mouthpiece back end 14. The mouthpiece 12 has a central tube aperture 26 extending from within the mouthpiece depression 24 to the mouthpiece back end 14. The mouthpiece 12 may be, but is not limited to, flavor-infused candy, wood, plastic, or glass.

An intake tube 28 is coupled to the mouthpiece 12 within the tube aperture 26. The intake tube 28 has a tube back end 30 coplanar the mouthpiece back end 14 and a tube front end 32 extending out the tube aperture 26 within the mouthpiece depression 24. The intake tube 28 may have a thin portion 34 extending from the tube back end 30 and flaring to a wide portion 36. The wide portion 36 extends to the tube front end 32 and has an exposed section 38. The exposed section 38 has a plurality of intake holes 40 extending therethrough to increase the airflow that can be drawn through the tube back end 30.

A grip 42 has a grip back end 44, a grip sidewall 46 extending from the grip back end 44, and an open grip front end 48 configured to receive a cigar 50 within the grip sidewall 46. The grip sidewall 46 may have a back threaded portion 52, a medial grip portion 54, and a front threaded portion 56. The back threaded portion 52 may be cylindrical with the medial grip portion 54 tapering towards the front threaded portion 56, and the front threaded portion 56 may flare out to the grip front end 48. The back threaded portion 52 is selectively engageable with the mouthpiece depression 24. The grip back end 44 has a central punch aperture 58 extending therethrough to slidingly receive the exposed section 38 of the intake tube 28. The intake tube 28 is configured to puncture the cigar 50.

A mesh tube 60 has an open tube back end 62 and a threaded tube attachment portion 64 coupled to the tube back end 62. The attachment portion 64 is selectively engageable with the front threaded portion 56 of the grip sidewall. A tube front end 66 may be hemispherical. The mesh tube 60 is configured to encase the cigar 50 and prevent ash from the cigar 50 from falling out of the mesh tube 60. The mesh tube 60 is a fireproof yet breathable material such as, but not limited to, steel screen and the like.

A pair of legs 68 is coupled to the mesh tube 60. Each leg 68 has a pair of parallel supports 70 and a foot 72 extending therebetween. The foot 72 may be curved and lies in a plane perpendicular to a plane of the parallel supports 70. The pair of legs 68 comprises a back leg 74 and a front leg 76 each coupled to an underside 78 of the mesh tube. Each leg 68 may be hingeably attached to the mesh tube 60 to move between an extended position 80 perpendicular to the mesh tube 60 and a folded position 82 adjacent the mesh tube 60. The back leg 74 is more proximal the tube back end 62 and longer than the front leg 76 to rest the cigar 50 at an optimal angle.

In use, the grip 42 is engaged with the mouthpiece 12. The cigar 50 is then inserted through the grip front end 48 until the exposed section 38 of the intake tube 28 is covered. The mesh tube 60 may then be engaged with the grip 42 and the cigar 50 is smoked through the mouthpiece 12. The legs 68 may be moved to the extended position 80 to rest the apparatus 10 on a surface. Alternatively, the mouthpiece 12 may be used alone with the cigar 50 or the mouthpiece 12 and the grip 42 may be used without the mesh tube 60.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
