An weight plate gap adjustment device for weight training equipment includes a locking pin having a taper on the body thereof and being detachably coupled to a hole of one weight plate and a traction shaft of the training equipment, and an inserting member having a coupling portion that has a taper corresponding to the taper of the body of the locking pin. The inserting member is mounted in the hole of the weight plate so that when the locking pin is coupled to the hole of the weight plate, the body and the coupling portion are closely abutted with each other to eliminate the gap between the locking pin and the weight plate.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to weight training equipment, and more particularly to a weight plate gap adjustment device for weight training equipment.

2. Description of the Related Art

A weight training equipment usually has a plurality of weight plates stacked on the top of each other. A traction shaft is placed in the center of the weight plates, and the traction shaft is driven by pulling a steel cable to pull up and lower the weight plates to produce a weight training effect. When changing the load, a locking pin is used to pass through the weight plate at a different location and the traction shaft, so that the traction shaft drives the corresponding number of weight plates through the locking pin to achieve the training effect of adjusting the load.

However, there are manufacturing tolerances in the matching aperture between the locking pin, the weight plates, and the traction shaft, resulting in a gap between the locking pin, the weight plates, and the traction shaft. As soon as the steel cable drives the traction shaft, it cannot directly move the locking pin and the weight plates. On the contrary, there will be problems of exerting force but not being able to move, and the fitness operation feels poor.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a weight plate gap adjustment device for weight training equipment, which can reduce the gap between the weight plate and the related component, thereby improving the operating feel and movement intuition.

To achieve this and other objects, a weight plate gap adjustment device is provided for use in a weight training equipment. The weight training equipment comprises at least one weight plate. Each weight plate has a hole penetrating a traction shaft. The weight plate gap adjustment device comprises a locking pin and at least one inserting member. The locking pin comprises a body. The body has a taper. The locking pin is detachably coupled to the hole of one weight plate and the traction shaft. Each inserting member comprises a coupling portion. The coupling portion has a taper corresponding to the taper of the body of the locking pin. Each inserting member is mounted in the hole of one respective weight plate so that when the locking pin is coupled to the hole of one weight plate, the body and the coupling portion are closely abutted with each other to eliminate the gap between the locking pin and the respective weight plate.

Preferably, the locking pin is provided with a magnetic member. The magnetic force of the magnetic member attracts the locking pin and the respective weight plate.

Preferably, the inserting member is in the shape of a sleeve, and the coupling portion is located on the inner circumference of the inserting member.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Hereinafter, the technical content and features of the present invention will be described in detail by enumerating preferred embodiments with drawings. The weight plate gap adjustment device of weight training equipment provided by the present invention can be widely used in various fitness equipment with weight training boxes. Those skilled in the art can understand that the explanatory terms of this embodiment belong to the upper-level description that does not limit the application field. For example, the material or shape terms include but are not limited to the material or shape specified by the description content, and the position terms include but are not limited to setting, proximity, connect, or adjacency. The term “one” for the quantity of each component includes one and more than one component quantity. The directional adjectives mentioned in the content of this specification, such as “upper”, “lower”, “inner”, “outer”, “top”, “bottom”, etc. are only exemplary descriptions based on the normal direction of use and are not intended to limit the scope of claims.

Referring to FIGS. 1-5, a preferred embodiment of the present invention takes a weight training equipment with a weight training box as an example. The weight training equipment includes a plurality of weight plates 10 stacked on each other. Each weight plate 10 has a hole 12, and the hole 12 of the weight plate 10 penetrates a traction shaft 14.

The weight plate gap adjustment device comprises a locking pin 20 and an inserting member 24. The locking pin 20 has a body 22, and the outer circumference of the body 22 is tapered. The locking pin 20 is detachably connected to the hole 12 of one of the weight plates 10 and the traction shaft 14.

The inserting member 24 is in the shape of a sleeve in this preferred embodiment. The inner peripheral surface of the inserting member 24 has a coupling portion 26, and the coupling portion 26 has a taper. The taper of the coupling portion 26 corresponds to the taper of the body 22 of the locking pin 20.

The inserting member 24 penetrates the end edge of the hole 12 of each weight plate 10, so that the locking pin 20 is provided in the hole 12 of one of the weight plates 10, and the body 22 and the coupling portion 26 are in close contact with each other to eliminate the gap between the locking pin 20 and the weight plate 10.

With the above components, the locking pin 20 and the inserting member 24 of the present invention are tightly combined with each other by taper, which can reduce the gap between the weight plate 10 and the locking pin 20, and achieve the purpose of the invention of improving the operating feel and movement intuition.

Furthermore, the locking pin 20 may have a magnetic member 30, and the magnetic force of the magnetic member 30 attracts the locking pin 20 and the iron weight plate 10, so that the locking pin 20 is firmly set in the weight plate 10.

Claims

1. A weight plate gap adjustment device for use in a weight training equipment, said weight training equipment comprising at least one weight plate, each said weight plate having a hole penetrating a traction shaft, the weight plate gap adjustment device comprising:

a locking pin comprising a body, said body having a taper, said locking pin being detachably coupled to said hole of one said weight plate and said traction shaft; and
at least one inserting member, each said inserting member comprising a coupling portion, said coupling portion having a taper corresponding to the taper of said body of said locking pin, each said inserting member being mounted in said hole of one respective said weight plate so that when said locking pin is coupled to said hole of one said weight plate, said body and said coupling portion are closely abutted with each other to eliminate the gap between said locking pin and the respective said weight plate.

2. The weight plate gap adjustment device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said locking pin is provided with a magnetic member, the magnetic force of said magnetic member attracts said locking pin and the respective said weight plate.

3. The weight plate gap adjustment device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said inserting member is in the shape of a sleeve; said coupling portion is located on the inner circumference of said inserting member.
