Description
FIELD OF APPLICATION

This invention patent application refers to an accessory for hair dryers.

PREAMBLE

This invention patent application proposes an air diffuser for hair dryers, which is coupled to the air outlet nozzle to allow drying of the region nearest to the hair roots and/or the hair as a whole.

STATE OF THE ART

The air diffusers for hair dryers are accessories attachable to the hair dryer nozzle, with the purpose of facilitating drying of curly and wavy hair, which take longer to dry naturally.

Commonly marketed diffusers comprise two basic models, one of which includes a concave region that is analogous to a small dome, intended for drying the entire hair volume, and another diffuser model which includes tubular protrusions that allow the air flow produced by the dryer to be specifically directed to the root region.

DRAWBACKS OF THE STATE OF THE ART

Diffusers belonging to the state of the art and that are configured according to both types mentioned above fulfill, in a satisfactory manner, their respective roles regarding drying, either of hair volume or drying the hair root region.

The aforementioned diffusers feature, however, the drawback of not being able to be used for other functions for which they are designed, in other words, dome diffusers used for hair drying may not be used also for drying hair roots, the same occurring inversely regarding diffusers equipped with tubular protrusions which are used for drying hair roots, but may not be used for drying hair volume as a whole.

Therefore, professionals that work in hairdressing salons require at least one unit of both types of diffusers, which requires them to purchase both accessories.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

Due to the aforementioned drawbacks verified in the state of the art, the applicant that works in this market segment has developed the object pleaded herein, the features of which allow a single diffuser to perform both drying types (whole hair/near roots).

The advantage of the invention regarding the state of the art comprises the convenience of, using a single diffuser, attaining two hair drying types, which was only obtained with different diffusers as yet, and with the need to replace the diffuser model at the end of the hair dryer, or the hairdresser having two or more dryers available, each one equipped with a different diffuser.

The novelty comprises the air diffuser including, in one of its variants, a flexible rubber body capable of adopting two different working positions, whereas at the first position the rubber body may be folded backwards, and at the second position the rubber body is unfolded and opened while facing forward, and the technical effect obtained is the fact that a single diffuser allows drying hair, both at the region closest to the root, and at the tips, in addition to the entire hair, and a simple position shift of the air diffuser rubber body featured herein is required for this.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The air diffuser for hair dryer object of this invention patent application includes an universal adapter, a base for bristles, tubular bristles and also includes a flexible rubber body that may be folded for its entire diameter, forward and backwards; the tubular bristles include rounded ends and orifices positioned on its entire length. Depending on how the flexible rubber body is, the adapter provided herein may be used both for hair drying as a whole, or for drying hair roots.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The preferred form of accomplishing the air diffuser for hair dryer 2 proposed herein comprises a universal adapter 3, a base 4 for bristles, tubular bristles 5 and a flexible rubber body 6.

The air diffuser 1 proposed herein includes a flexible rubber body 6 to enable forward and backward folding for its entire diameter, and said flexible rubber body 6 includes a beveled inlet 7 with a preferably elongated shape.

The tubular bristles 5 include rounded ends 8 and orifices 9 positioned along said tubular walls, enabling the ventilation (hot air) to pass through, reaching directly to the region near the hair roots.

For fixing the bristles, sphere-shaped terminals 10 are provided at the bottom end of each tubular bristles 5, said sphere-shaped terminals 10 being coupled in their respective slots 11 incorporated in the structure 12 at the base 4 of the bristles, in order to move the tubular bristles 5 sideways, such as portrayed in FIG. 2B and indicated by arrows X.

The set of tubular bristles 5 features an acute-shaped arrangement T, as may be seen in FIGS. 10 and 15, made of shorter tubular bristles 5 provided on the external ends, from which the intermediate tubular bristles 5 progressively increase in length up to longer tubular bristles 5 positioned on the central portion of the diffuser 1.

The base 13 of the universal adapter 3 incorporates an orifice 14 intended for coupling a sachet or capsule 15 with fragrance to the upper part of the handle, in order to remove odor from people's hair when the hot air passes through.

The flexible rubber body 6 may be screwed, snap-fitted or threaded to the universal adapter 3, thus enabling it to be separated from the diffuser 1 if so desired by the professional.

FIGS. 17, 18, 19 and 20 depict the first variation of the diffuser, in which its flexible rubber body 6 may be completely separated from the diffuser structure 1, said flexible rubber body 6, as specifically depicted in FIG. 19, showing a threaded section 16 on its coupling terminal 17. The threaded section 16 of the coupling terminal allows the flexible rubber body 6 to be threaded to the threaded section 18 provided on the base 13 of the universal adapter 3.

The diffuser 1 disclosed herein may be used in any of the two settings depicted in FIGS. 21 and 22, in other words, to provide drying of hair volume when the flexible rubber body 6 is facing forward or to provide drying of hair roots when the flexible rubber body is folded backwards.

The aforementioned feature enables that a same accessory (diffuser 1) be used in two different ways, thus preventing additional purchase and use of two different accessories by the hairdresser.

FIGS. 23 and 24 show a second variation of the diffuser disclosed herein, in which a semi-rigid body 6A formed by two stages is provided, wherein the first stage 6A′ is fixed to the base 13, while the second stage 6A″ is mounted in a telescopic manner regarding the first stage 6A′, while this second stage 6A″ is able to advance or reverse as per indicated by arrows “Y”.
