BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to the tightening nut bringing the barrel and hand guard of a rifle into mounting/demounting position to provide realizing of carrying and cleaning operations of rifles used in hunting.

The invention relates to:

    • a ring channel formed in an inner part of the tightening nut, said tightening nut being connected to a magazine screw, the magazine screw being inserted into a barrel ring;
    • a shell facilitating mounting/demounting operation to eliminate the friction between a tightening spring and the tightening nut by inserting between the tightening nut and the tightening spring located in the end part of the magazine screw inserted into the barrel ring,
    • a ring connected to a ring channel preventing disconnection of the shell located in the inner part of said tightening nut from the tightening nut,
    • embodied to realize mounting/demounting procedure in a short time period without need for power more than needed for connection of the tightening nut to the barrel ring for bringing the barrel and the hand guard into mounting/demounting position to provide realizing of carrying and cleaning procedures of rifles used in hunting.

2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98

Portable fire arms called rifles comprise a firing mechanism and a long barrel located on a hand guard are used in hunting.

A rifle comprises the main parts of box magazine, trigger group, barrel, hand guard, lock mechanism, magazine pipe and butt.

Rifle manufacturing, supply post manufacture, having and using procedures are all stipulated under legislation. Manufacturing is made by authorized enterprises and supply and use are also stipulated under legislation allowing carrying in a demounted position inside a bag to prevent use. Also, the rifle should be brought into mounting/demounting position in order to clean it at fixed intervals during use thereof.

For bringing the rifle barrel part into mounting/demounting position, the magazine screw, the tightening spring and the tightening nut located in the inner part of the magazine pipe together with the magazine spring are used.

For mounting procedure of the barrel and the hand guard of the rifle, the magazine spring is located in the magazine pipe. The magazine screw is located in the upper part of the magazine spring and interlocking of the barrel ring located under the barrel to the magazine screw is provided. Then, the tightening spring is located onto the magazine screw and mounting of the tightening nut to the magazine screw is realized. This procedure requires a good amount of power. It is because one side of the tightening spring contacts the barrel ring and the other side contacts the tightening nut and therefore for right/left rotating tightening nut for tightening purposes a considerably high amount of friction occurs between the tightening spring, barrel ring and tightening nut. Said friction makes tightening/loosing of the tightening nut.

When the related art is searched, a Utility Model application numbered TR 2016/17848 entitled Practical Insertion/Removal Mechanism for Hand Guard in Rifles is seen. The abstract part of said application reads as “Invention relates to connection mechanism (5) comprising magazine pipe (2) providing fixing of hand guard (4) used in semi and full automatic rifles and generally made from wooden material onto magazine pipe (2), containing cartridge, magazine nut (3) and connection mechanism (5) fixing said hand guard (4) onto magazine pipe (2) by means of magazine nut (3).”

When the abstract part and content of Utility Model application numbered TR 2016/17848 is examined, it is seen that connection mechanism providing the connection of magazine nut is protected. Running and structure of connection mechanism is tabbed structure in clip form and disconnection of clips is provided by pressing a button for dismantling operation.

In conclusion, it has been necessary to make development in the related art due to above described disadvantages encountered in the related art.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Due to disadvantages experienced in the related art, the invention aims to solve all described disadvantages.

The aim of invention is to provide:

    • forming of a ring channel in an inner part of the tightening nut connected to the magazine screw inserted into the barrel ring,
    • forming of a shell facilitating mounting/demounting operation to eliminate the friction between the tightening spring and the tightening nut by inserting between the tightening nut and the tightening spring located in an end part of magazine screw inserted into barrel ring,
    • connecting of the ring to the ring channel preventing disconnection of the shell located in the inner part of the tightening nut from the tightening nut
    • to realize mounting/demounting procedure in a short time period without need for power more than needed for connection of the tightening nut to the barrel ring for bringing the barrel and hand guard into the mounting/demounting position to provide realizing of carrying and cleaning procedures of rifles used in hunting.

By means of the shell located on the tightening nut and connected to the ring channel by the ring, the tightening nut is easily tightened and loosened in mounting/demounting operation of the tightening nut since the tightening nut does not contact directly the tightening spring. In this procedure, while the internal surface of the shell contacts the tightening spring and the external surface contacts the tightening nut since the area where the tightening nut is contacted is small, the tightening nut is kept fixed by means of the tightening spring, the friction occurred with right/left rotation of tightening nut by user to tighten/loosen and therefore mounting/demounting procedure is realized in a short time period without need for power more than required.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 shows illustrative general and detailed perspective views of the mounted position of the barrel (1) and hand guard (2) of a rifle used in hunting.

Rifle manufacturing, supplying, carrying and using procedures after manufacture are all stipulated under legislations. Manufacturing is made by authorized enterprises and supply and use are also stipulated under legislations. Laws allow carrying in the rifle in a demounted position to prevent use inside a bag. Also, the rifle should be brought into mounting/demounting position in order to clean it at fixed intervals during use thereof.

For bringing the barrel (1) of the rifle into the mounting/demounting position, the magazine screw (5) located in an inner part of the magazine pipe (3), together with the magazine spring (4), tightening spring (9), tightening nut (10), the shell (11) being subject of invention and a ring (12) providing connection of the shell (11) to the tightening nut (10) are used.

A ring channel (10.1) is provided in the inner section of the tightening nut (10). The distance of the ring channel (10.1) is a distance to provide the shell (11) to prevent removal from the internal part of the tightening nut (10) after installation of the ring (12). During mounting of the barrel (1) and hand guard (2), the magazine spring (4) is located in the magazine pipe (3). The magazine screw (5) is located in the upper part of the magazine spring (4) and interlocking of the barrel ring (6) located under the barrel (1) to the magazine screw (5) is provided. Then the tightening spring (9) is placed onto magazine screw (5).

The shell (11) is placed in the inner part of the tightening nut (10) and the ring (12) is connected to the ring channel (12) for fixing. When the tightening nut (10) is in this position, mounting to the magazine screw (5) is rotated right/left as shown in FIG. 3 to tighten the tightening nut (10). At this stage, since the tightening spring (9) directly contacts the shell (11), it remains fixed. When rotation of the tightening nut (10) is continued, the tightening nut (10) is rotated on the shell (11) in fixed position without need for a power by use of a low friction force and thus connection is provided. During this operation, the lower part of tightening nut (10) is touched by means of the ratchet (8) and the ratchet spring (7) and tightening of the tightening nut (10) is realized.

For disassembling of the barrel (1) and hand guard (2), the above described operations are made in opposite direction by right/left rotation of the tightening nut (10) and thus disconnection from the magazine screw (5) is provided. In continuation thereof, the tightening spring (9) and magazine screw (5) are removed and the barrel (1) is removed in a practical way.
