The present invention relates to the field of dehumidifiers for controlling the room humidity. More specifically, the present invention relates of dehumidifier for controlling the humidity with combination of using heaters and air conditioner.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONIn the present-day world, several domestic, commercial and industrial applications compressor dehumidifiers are used extensively in the market. In most of the applications, air conditioners are used to maintain the room temperature due to high temperatures outside. However, there are problems during rainy season about high humidity issues, this is because of the outside temperature is below the set temperature of the air conditioner and humidity outside is more during the rainy season.
There are several limitations on using compressor dehumidifiers mainly as they occupy more space in the room, need continuous drain or someone need to empty the water collection tank, and cost is not affordable to most of the customers in India. Our new invented principle and product overcomes these limitations where applications involve using air conditioners along with the dehumidifiers.
None of the systems available in the prior-art literature provide an effective solution. Therefore, there is a long felt need to develop a dehumidifier for controlling the humidity by combination of using heaters and air conditioner.

The dehumidifier of the present invention includes at least one heater for heating the air in the room, at least one air conditioner for cooling the air in the room, at least one air circulation fan for circulating the air in the room, at least one temperature sensor for sensing the temperature in the room, at least one humidity sensor for sensing the humidity in the room, at least one control circuit for controlling the heater based on temperature and humidity sensor readings. The humidity of the room is controlled by air circulation from the combined action of the heater and air conditioner.
According to one aspect of the invention, the heaters will turn ON when the room humidity is more than the set humidity of the room. When the room temperature increases beyond the set temperature of the room the air conditioner turns ON and cools the room. The heater and the air conditioner act in combination to achieve the set humidity in the room.
According to one aspect of the invention, the air handling unit (AHU) and air conditioner unit function in connection maintain the desired set temperature and set humidity in the room. The heater acts in combination with the humidity sensor to control the humidity in the room.
According to one aspect of the invention, the dehumidifier further includes a digital display, a front panel with keys, microcontroller, EEPROM, IR remote control, pre air filters, Provision for connections to duct, provision for wall mounting.
According to one aspect of the invention, a method of controlling the humidity in a room is disclosed. The method includes the combined action of the heater and air conditioner to achieve the set humidity in the room. When the room humidity is more than the set humidity, the heater turns ON and increases the temperature of the room. The air conditioner turns ON when the room temperature is more than the set temperature of the room.
Example embodiments of the present invention are illustrated by accompanying drawings, wherein:
It is to be understood that the present disclosure is not limited in its application to the details of composition set forth in the following description. The present disclosure is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced or of being carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology used herein is for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

Hetro dehumidifier can also be programmed to maintain the desired temperature in the room, if the inside room temperature is less than the set temperature, then Hetro dehumidifier will turns ON to maintain the desired room temperature.
Hetro dehumidifier turns ON in two instances, first to reduce the room humidity until set humidity reaches in the room, and second to maintain the room temperature if the Air conditioning is not having the built in heaters.

Air conditioner with built in Air handling unit and Hetro dehumidifier works together to maintain the desired set temperature and set humidity in the room.
AHU maintains the desired airflow, Air conditioner reduces the room temperature and removes the moisture in the room. After the room temperature reaches to set temperature Air conditioner will stop cooling and hence dehumidification also stops, at this point of time Hetro dehumidifier will turns ON and increases the room temperature above the set temperature this process will continues until the humidity in the room reduces to the desired set humidity.
Hetro dehumidifier can also be programmed to maintain the desired temperature in the room, if the inside room temperature is less than the set temperature, then Hetro dehumidifier will turns ON to maintain the desired room temperature.

According to one embodiment of the invention, when room humidity is more than the set humidity heaters will turn ON and increases the heat in the room, as room temperature is maintained by air conditioner and it observes the room temperature is increased above the set temperature and it will start cooling the room to the set humidity. This phenomenon will continue until the set humidity is reached in the room.
