Facemask

This invention is regarding to a protective facemask or face shield. The invention, made from transparent plastic sheet, mainly comprises earloop portions and forming portions. The earloop portions are facilitated for forming earloops on both sides. The forming portions, located between the earloop portions, comprise dividing cuts, locking cuts, receiving cuts, and inserting edges to form bottom part of the sheet into a chin-fitting device.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

When it is necessary to wear a facemask due to pandemic, people usually are quite reluctant. This is because traditional facemasks are uncomfortably sweaty and oppressive, and cover users' facial expressions and voices. While in-market transparent face shields can be alternative choice, on the other hand, they are more expensive, and do not really provide enough protection for both users and others due to open space design at bottom where users inhale from, and exhale/cough towards.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention is regarding to a protective facemask or face shield that has enhanced protective mechanisms and cost benefits. The invention mainly comprises earloop portions and forming portions. The main features of the invention are: (1) It is cost-effectively made from plain sheet (or film), and for proper rigidness and transparency its material is transparent plastic. (2) The earloop portions are located on both left and right sides of the sheet. The forming portions, located between the earloop portions, form bottom part of the plain sheet into a chin-fitting device, which helps fit the faces of users better, and prevents outflows of users' breathes or cough.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Please refer to the FIGS. 1, 2, and 4 for the best embodiment of the invention. The invention, made from transparent plain sheet, mainly comprises earloop portions 10 and forming portions 20. The earloop portions 10 comprise u-cut devices 11 on left and sides of the sheet. The forming portions 20 comprise dividing cuts 21, inserting edges 22, receiving cuts 23, and locking cuts 24. The dividing cut 21 goes from the very bottom edge of the sheet, and divides the sheet bottom side into inserting edge 22 and side edge 25. Also, the locking cut 24 goes from the very bottom edge of the sheet.

When forming the plain sheet into a facemask, the earloops are formed by folding the uncut sides of the u-cut devices 11, and by the position of folding users can decide their preferences of tightness. Further, the forming portions 20 form into a chin-fitting device 30 by firstly inserting the inserting edges 22 into the receiving cuts 23, and then further having the locking cuts 24 inserted by the sheet for sturdiness. The locking cut 24 has a guiding recess 241 so to easily get inserted. The side edge 25 is curved for being not sharp and not hurting users after the chin-fitting device 30 is formed.

Alternatively, the aforementioned u-cut device 11, it can be also facilitated like double u-cut style as shown in FIG. 4.

Alternatively, there can multiple receiving cuts 23 for each inserting edge 22 to insert in one of them, so to enable users to have their preferences of the width of the chin-fitting device 30, which is illustrated as shown in FIG. 5.

Alternatively, the earloop portions can be facilitated, by having elastic bands fixed on both sides of the sheet as known traditional way, into earloops.

Claims

1. A facemask, made from transparent plastic plain sheet, comprising earloop portions and forming portions; the earloop portions are located on both left and right sides of the sheet; the forming portions form bottom part of the plain sheet into a chin-fitting device, and are located between earloop portions.

2. A facemask of claim 1, wherein the forming portions comprise inserting edges, dividing cuts, receiving cuts, and locking cuts.

3. A facemask of claim 2, wherein the forming portions form the chin-fitting device by firstly inserting the inserting edge into the receiving cut, and then further having the locking cut inserted by the sheet.

4. A facemask of claim 2, wherein the dividing cut goes from the very bottom edge of the sheet, and divides the sheet bottom side into the inserting edge and side edge.

5. A facemask of claim 4, wherein the side edge is curved.

6. A facemask of claim 2, wherein the locking cut goes from the very bottom edge of the sheet.

7. A facemask of claim 2, wherein the locking cut has a guiding recess.

8. A facemask of claim 3, wherein there are multiple receiving cuts 23 for each inserting edge 22 to insert in one of them.

9. A facemask of claim 1, wherein the earloop portions have u-cut devices that form earloops by folding the uncut sides of the u-cut devices.
