HAIR-DRYER AIR-DIFFUSER HOOD
“HAIR-DRYER AIR DIFFUSER HOOD”, intended for use in combination with an air diffuser (15) and a hair dryer (16), the hood (1) being formed by the assembly of two components, the main one being a hemispherical dome-shaped piece (2) and the second one comprising a C-shaped piece (3); the hemispherical dome-shaped piece (2) includes an opening (5) on the rear region of the outlining wall (4), which starts from its bottom edge (6) and converges to a narrowing (7) with a semi-circular profile (8), whereas in alignment with the aforementioned opening (5), from the outer face (9) of the outlining wall (4), two protrusions (10) are provided, each including a pivot (11) on which the C-shaped piece (3) is assembled in a pivoted manner; said C-shaped piece (3) comprises a semi-arch setup (12) with the ends (13) hereof fashioned in a rim (14) on said C-shaped piece (3).
This patent application for Utility Model refers to a hood for air diffuser for hair dryers, which integrates the field of accessories used with general hair dryers, both for home and professional uses.
PREAMBLEThis patent application for Utility model proposes a hood for air diffuser for hair dryers that enables an air diffuser to be used in combination with this hood, which works to provide concentration of the hot air produced by the hair dryer and spread by the diffuser, thus improving the hair drying effect.
STATE OF THE ARTHair dryers are electric appliances for manual use and may also be attached to stand-up hoods, which is used in hairdressing salons and similar commercial establishments.
Particularly regarding hand-held hair dryers, they comprise a housing, usually plastic, that combines a main body and a grip, from which a power cable hangs out for feeding the engine that drives the fan attached to its shaft, and both engine and fan are assembled within the main body, where the resistive element, that provides heating for the air that blows through the device, is also located.
Hair dryers are largely used appliances, for which a wide range of accessories are also produced, among which are several types of nozzles for obtaining a variety of air flow patterns, in other words, more concentrated or more spread out flows, etc.
Air diffusers are among accessories produced for standard hair dryers, which are parts that, similarly to the aforementioned nozzles, are mounted to the air outlet and enable other flow diffusion types.
The state of the art comprises air diffuser models that include a small, fixed hood used to concentrate, albeit in a limited fashion, hot air near a certain section of hair.
Within this context, the accessory described in the Invention Patent application BR 10 2018 010209-5, filed on May 18, 2018, held by the Applicants herein and entitled “AIR DIFFUSER FOR HAIR DRYERS”, was developed comprising a device that, when assembled to an air outlet nozzle of a hair dryer, drives the hot air through articulated and mobile tubes for increased penetration of heated air.
The diffuser described in the aforementioned patent application innovates by combining a heat concentration body that may assume two positions, the first one that partially encompasses the articulated tubes and the second one that may be bent or pulled backwards in order to place the tubes in prominence.
ISSUES WITH THE STATE OF THE ARTAir diffusers designed as hair dryer accessories necessarily function as means for modifying the flow pattern of the hot (or cold) air generated by the dryer, and do not comprise, however, means for enabling the maintenance of hot air onto the hair, in a similar manner as seen in stand-up hair dryers which almost always include a mounted hood.
The diffuser described in document BR 10 2018 010209-5 allows obtaining a concentration effect on a reduced scale, but that does not match the effect obtained with hooded dryers.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INNOVATIONGiven the aforementioned state of the art, one of the objectives of this patent application for Utility model is to provide a “HOOD FOR AIR DIFFUSER FOR HAIR DRYER”, which may be mounted to and dismounted from a diffuser, also featuring an attached hood that may be swiveled, thus assuming two basic positions.
Another objective of this patent application for Utility Model is to provide a hood for air diffuser for hair dryer which may be mounted to various air diffuser models, thus working as an accessory that complements air diffusers.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INNOVATIONThe hood for air diffuser for hair dryer that is an object of this patent application for Utility Model is defined by two basic components, the main one being a hemispherical dome-shaped piece and the second component is a C-shaped part, in which protrusions from the dome-shaped piece are assembled in a pivoted manner, thus enabling the hood to adopt two basic positions, lowered, and raised.
The hood for air diffuser for hair dryer that is object of this patent application for Utility Model may be fully understood in all its technical features from the following figures, in which:
The hood for air diffuser for hair dryer that is object of this patent application for Utility Model, and which is generally indicated by reference number 1, comprises the assembly of two basic components, the main component being a hemispherical dome-shaped piece 2, and the second component comprising a C-shaped piece 3. 39. The hemispherical dome-shaped piece 2 includes an opening 5 on the rear region of the outlining wall 4, which starts from its bottom edge 6 and converges to a narrowing 7 with a semi-circular profile 8, whereas in alignment with the aforementioned opening 5, from the outer face 9 of the outlining wall 4, two protrusions 10 are provided, each including a pivot 11 on which the C-shaped piece (3) is assembled in a pivoted manner. 40. The C-shaped piece 3 features a semi-arch setup 12 with the ends 13 hereof fashioned in a rim 14, said C-shaped piece 3 working as an assembly means for the hood 1 with a diffuser 15, which, in turn, is assembled to the air outlet nozzle of a hand-held hair dryer 16.
The C-shaped piece 3 is configured to work as a resilient clamp, press-fitted against the air diffuser body 15, to which operation converges the shape of the ends 13 with a rim 14.
Pivots 11 that connect the protrusions 10 to the outer sides 17 of the C-shaped piece 3 enable the hemispherical dome-shaped piece 2 to change its position in relation to the C-shaped piece 3 and, therefore, also in relation to the air diffuser 15 and the hand-held hair dryer 16, as may be better understood through
