FURNITURE COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

A furniture unit including two mutually spaced functional walls, on which at least one movable furniture component, such as a flap device, is held and guided. The furniture component is movable between at least between two positions. The furniture component screens off an intermediate space between the functional walls when in a closed position and exposes the intermediate space when in an open position. The two functional walls can be set in their spatial location independently of each other via separately adjustable mounting devices.

Description

The present invention relates to a flexibly usable furniture unit, which can be used flexibly in particular in the living area and preferably in the kitchen area. In particular, the furniture unit according to the invention can be used as a type of cabinet or wall cupboard, and a wide variety of objects can be stored in the interior of the furniture unit.

In the prior art, a wide variety of furniture units have become known, which are used as wall cupboards, for example, and which can be attached, for example screw-fastened, to an internal wall of a room by their furniture carcass. The structure of such wall cupboards is usually clearly predefined. The location of the side walls of a furniture carcass relative to one another is predefined by the furniture carcass structure, so that when the furniture carcass is adjusted, the whole furniture carcass is always adjusted. A bottom shelf is usually provided as the lower termination, and a top shelf is provided as the upper termination, between which one or more intermediate shelves can be provided, depending on the type and size of the wall cupboard. Such a wall cupboard is suitable for the structured accommodation of a wide variety of storage objects. However, the strict structure, which permits only little flexibility, is disadvantageous.

DE 20 2006 014 397 U1 discloses a rest device for fastening to the wall of a kitchen, said device including a rear wall which can be fastened to an internal wall. A horizontally extending top shelf is provided on the rear wall. The rear wall is provided with horizontal rails on which one or more carrier modules can be hung in a flexible and horizontally displaceable manner. Such a rest device or such a wall cupboard can be used flexibly as a conventional wall cupboard in which the bottom shelf forms the lower termination. However, even greater flexibility is desired.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a furniture unit, in particular for the living area and/or the kitchen area, which allows even greater flexibility.

This object is achieved by a furniture unit according to the invention having the features of claim 1. Preferred developments of the invention form the subject matter of the dependent claims. Further advantages and features of the present invention can be found in the general description and in the description of the exemplary embodiments.

A furniture unit according to the invention comprises two mutually spaced functional walls, on which at least one movable furniture component is held and guided. The furniture component is movable at least between two positions. The furniture component at least partially screens off and/or covers an intermediate space between the functional walls when in a closed position and at least partially exposes the intermediate space or a storage space between the functional walls when in an open position. The two functional walls can be set in their spatial location independently of each other via separately adjustable mounting devices.

The movable furniture component is preferably in the form of a flap device or comprises such a flap device. In particular, a preferred furniture unit according to the invention comprises two mutually spaced functional walls on which at least one flap device is held and guided. The flap device is movable at least between two positions. The flap device at least partially covers an intermediate space between the functional walls when in a closed position and at least partially exposes the intermediate space between the functional walls when in an open position. The two functional walls can be set in their spatial location independently of each other via separately adjustable mounting devices.

The movement of the movable furniture component or a furniture component in the form of a flap device is not limited, either in terms of the kinematic sequence or in terms of the spatial direction. For instance, it is possible for the furniture component or at least a part thereof to execute a rotary movement, a pivoting movement, a sliding movement or a combination of at least two of these movement types.

The spatial arrangement of the functional walls is not limited to a substantially vertical arrangement; the functional walls can also be arranged horizontally or obliquely (or deliberately askew) on the room wall.

The movement direction of the furniture component or the flap device or one or more parts thereof can accordingly likewise run in different spatial directions.

The furniture unit according to the invention has many advantages. A considerable advantage of the furniture unit according to the invention consists in that the intermediate space between the mutually, in particular laterally, spaced functional walls can be used in a completely flexible manner.

Because the two functional walls can each be set in their spatial location individually and separately and independently of each other, it is possible, for example, for only the two functional walls to be attached to an internal wall or room wall. The two functional walls can then be connected to each other solely or only by means of the furniture component, for example in the form of a flap device or else a drawer. To achieve an optimal arrangement, the location and position of the two functional walls can be set separately and independently of each other. Any tolerances in the lateral or vertical directions or else any angle deviations which arise when the functional walls are mounted on a room wall can be compensated thereby.

Preferably, the movable furniture component is in the form of a flap device but can also be in the form of a drawer or a part thereof. Such a drawer can be fastened or accommodated movably on the functional walls. It is possible to limit the invention to a furniture unit having a flap device.

It is preferred for the two functional walls to be fastenable to a room wall or an internal wall. Preferably, the spatial location of the functional walls can be set relative to the room wall. Preferably, furniture parts which are not connected to the furniture unit can be fastened to the room wall (separately) in the intermediate space, and thus said furniture parts can be arranged in the intermediate space between the functional walls. This allows a particularly high level of flexibility in the use of the furniture unit according to the invention. One furniture part or multiple furniture parts—even independent of one another—can be fastened to the room wall (also referred to as internal wall) in the intermediate space between the functional walls. This produces a completely flexible possibility of designing the intermediate space between the functional walls or the covered space which can be at least partially covered or screened off by the furniture component.

In a particularly preferred and particularly simple embodiment, the furniture unit according to the invention consists substantially of two functional walls and an adjustable flap, which substantially covers the intermediate space between the two functional walls, at least when in the closed position. Separately adjustable mounting devices on the functional walls allow the spatial location of the two functional walls to be set relative to each other and thus the furniture unit according to the invention to be spatially adjusted in a technically appropriate and also aesthetically desired manner.

The furniture unit according to the invention can in particular be in the form of a type of cabinet or wall cupboard, the furniture unit according to the invention lacking in particular a top shelf and a bottom shelf and also intermediate shelves. In preferred embodiments, the furniture unit according to the invention forms a complete item of furniture but has no inner parts except for a movable furniture component in the form of e.g. a flap device between the inner faces of the functional walls.

A flap device as a movable furniture component can in particular be in the form of a single-part or multi-part flap or else another movable furniture part or comprise the like. A lid can also be a flap within the meaning of the present invention.

The term “functional wall” means a wall of the furniture unit which forms an additional function. In particular, a flap fitting is situated on the functional wall or accommodated therein. Particularly preferably, a flap fitting is at least partially integrated in the interior of the functional wall.

A functional wall can be a side wall of the furniture unit. It is also possible for a functional wall to form a middle wall of the furniture unit. The furniture unit can comprise two, three or more functional walls. A functional wall can be in the form of a side wall or else a middle wall. In a development, the furniture unit can for example comprise three furniture walls, side walls being provided on the outside, and a middle wall being provided therebetween. It is then possible for all three furniture walls to be in the form of functional walls. However, it is also possible for only the two outer furniture walls to be in the form of functional walls. It is also possible for one outer and the middle furniture wall to be in the form of functional walls, whereas another side wall forms a simple furniture wall without providing further functions. The flap fittings are then situated on one side wall and one middle wall.

In this respect, the term “functional wall” is also exchangeable with the term furniture wall with additional function.

In all embodiments, the furniture unit can be part of a larger furniture device, and therefore the furniture unit can also be referred to as a furniture component in such embodiments. In simple cases, the furniture unit forms a complete item of furniture.

In all embodiments, it is preferred for 3D adjustability of at least one and in particular both functional walls to be made possible. Preferably, a vertical orientation and/or horizontal orientation and/or a setting of a lateral angle and/or an angle relative to the wall are possible.

In preferred embodiments, the functional wall has at least one carcass or wall body or wall carcass. In particular, a receiving space for at least one fitting component of a flap fitting is formed in the functional wall. In particular, at least one fitting component of the flap fitting is situated in the receiving space in the functional wall.

The furniture unit can in particular be fastened to a room wall. It is also possible for one functional wall to be fastened to one room wall and the other functional wall to be fastened to another room wall. A room wall can in particular be an internal wall. A room wall can be a building wall. However, a room wall can also be formed by a room divider. A room wall can be solid and/or provided transportably and for example displaceably. It is also possible for a room wall to be in the form of a lightweight construction wall. Preferably, furniture parts which are situated in the intermediate space between the functional walls are fastened to the room wall or else to different room walls. In this respect, a room wall also means the ceiling of a room.

In particularly preferred embodiments, the two functional walls are preferably oriented substantially vertically when mounted as intended.

It is particularly preferable for the two functional walls to be connected to each other (substantially) only via the movable furniture component (in particular flap device) of the furniture unit. Preferably, no top shelf is provided and no bottom shelf is provided either. Likewise, no rear wall is provided. In particular embodiments, however, it is possible for a (single) shelf, such as a bottom shelf, top shelf or intermediate shelf, to be provided between the top and bottom ends of the functional walls. In this case, such a shelf is in particular connected to the functional walls in a hinged and/or flexible manner on both sides. In such an embodiment too, the two functional walls can be oriented practically independently of each other. The adjustment of the height of one functional wall thus does not affect the height of the other functional wall in this case. A separate and effective orientation of the two functional walls and thus of the furniture unit as a whole can be carried out simply and quickly thereby.

Overall, it can be difficult when mounting furniture units on room walls to make a hole in a concrete wall in a precisely positioned manner, for example. This can be because, for example, there are reinforcements in the concrete wall, which can result in a slight shift of the desired drill hole. In all such cases, simple, fast and thus cost-effective mounting of the furniture unit according to the invention is still possible, since the spatial location of the functional walls and thus of the furniture unit as a whole can be set independently of each other. The setting of the spatial location of one functional wall does not affect the spatial location of the other functional wall.

In particularly preferred developments, the mounting devices, or at least one mounting device, comprise at least one mounting profile, in particular for fastening the functional wall to the room wall. In simple embodiments, the mounting profile can be a mounting board, a mounting strip or the like.

Preferably, the mounting device, in particular the mounting profile, comprises at least one mounting flange. The mounting flange can be in the form of a flange device or else a fastening flange or fastening lug. In simple embodiments, a T-shaped mounting profile can be provided, which comprises a continuous mounting flange or two fastening lugs, the stem of the “T” acting as a carrier unit and at least partially bearing the functional wall, for example.

In preferred developments, the mounting profile has at least one mounting hole. A mounting hole can be used e.g. to fasten and/or fasten and set the functional wall.

In advantageous embodiments, the mounting profile is fastened to the room wall and/or the functional wall via at least one fastening unit extending through the mounting hole. It is possible for a plurality of fastening units to be provided for fastening the mounting profile to the room wall and/or for a plurality of fastening units to be provided for fastening the mounting profile to the carcass of the functional wall.

Preferably, the mounting hole or at least one mounting hole has, in particular in at least one direction, at least one larger diameter than a diameter of the fastening unit, and therefore a lateral setting and/or a vertical setting and/or a setting in the longitudinal direction in particular of the functional wall or of the mounting profile is made possible.

In all embodiments, it is possible for at least one mounting hole to be in the form of a slot. A slot allows a longitudinal shift in the longitudinal direction. A mounting hole with a larger diameter allows a shift in all directions.

It is possible and preferred for at least one fastening unit to comprise a screw with a screw shaft and a screw head which is larger than the screw shaft. The fastening unit can have further parts or components.

In all embodiments and developments, it is preferred for the mounting device and in particular the mounting profile to comprise at least one carrier unit which protrudes transversely from the mounting device or mounting profile. Such a carrier unit can be in the form of a carrier element. The carrier unit can be formed integrally with the mounting device and/or mounting profile. The carrier unit can also be a separate element and be in the form of a screw, for example, with which the mounting profile is fastened to the carcass of the functional wall.

It is preferred for at least one web, to which the functional wall is fastened, to be formed on the mounting device and in particular on the mounting profile. In particular, at least one carrier unit can be in the form of a web. Preferably, the web extends in the longitudinal direction of the mounting profile. The web can in particular be formed integrally with the mounting device and in particular with the mounting profile. A substantially T-shaped cross-section of the carrier unit or mounting profile is preferred.

It is possible and preferred for at least one bolt, for supporting or holding the functional wall, to be formed on the mounting device and in particular on the mounting profile. In particular, the carrier unit can be in the form of a bolt or comprise such a bolt. The mounting profile with the transversely protruding bolt then preferably forms a T-shaped cross-section.

The carrier unit and in particular the bolt can preferably comprise a rotatable eccentric, which is in particular received in a receptacle in the carcass of the functional wall and guides the functional wall. A rotatable eccentric can allow a vertical and lateral setting of a functional wall. If, for example, two vertically mutually spaced rotatable eccentrics are used, an angular orientation of the functional wall can also be carried out, if both eccentrics are deflected in opposite directions. Simultaneous lateral adjustment and angular setting of a functional wall is also possible via two rotatable eccentrics. This allows particularly flexible and fast mounting and setting.

It is preferred for at least one securing unit in the form of a securing screw, for example, to be arranged on the functional wall, to fix the functional wall. Such a securing unit or securing screw can act laterally on the bolt or the web of the carrier unit, for example. A securing unit is used in particular as an anti-pullout means, to prevent the functional walls being pulled out horizontally from the room wall, for example.

In preferred embodiments, the mounting profile can be fastened directly to a room wall, or the mounting profile can be fastened to a mounting rail. In such embodiments, the mounting profile is in particular provided displaceably on the mounting rail. Preferably, the mounting rail is fastened to the room wall.

In preferred embodiments, the mounting rail is in the form of a C-rail or H-rail. A C-rail can be fastened to the surface of the room wall or, for example, inserted into and fastened in a groove made in the room wall. An H-rail can be fastened to a room wall in a corresponding manner. It is possible and preferred for an H-rail to be fastened to the room wall via a screw, the distance of the H-rail from the room wall being set via a nut and a locknut, which is identical, for example.

In preferred developments, at least one fastening arm with an L-shaped section, for example, is included. The L-shaped section of the fastening arm is then preferably fastened by one limb to the functional wall and by the other limb to the mounting rail and in particular the H-rail. If a furniture unit is mounted using such fastening frames, the H-rail is preferably attached to the room wall at a distance first. The H-rail is preferably provided with enlarged mounting holes and/or slots. Slots are in particular provided with the longitudinal side in the vertical and horizontal direction. The fastening arm can thereby be fastened in an oriented manner to the H-rail by one limb. A first fastening arm is fastened in an oriented manner in an upper region and a second fastening arm is fastened in an oriented manner in a lower region, so that a functional wall can be held in a defined manner between the protruding limbs of the fastening arms. The functional wall is connected to the protruding limbs of the fastening arms by means of screws, for example. Two functional walls can thereby be attached to a room wall in a separately settable manner and can be oriented relative to each other in a defined manner.

In all the embodiments, it is preferred for (at least) one flap fitting to be held on each of the two functional walls. Such a flap fitting can be held on the inside or the outside of the carcass of the functional wall. The flap fitting can be arranged visibly on a side wall of the functional wall. The flap fitting can also be arranged and fastened in a receiving space in the interior of the carcass. Preferably, at least one part of a fitting component of the flap fitting is fastened in a receiving space inside the carcass.

In all the embodiments, three or more functional walls and/or furniture walls can also be included.

With the furniture unit according to the invention, completely individual storage containers can be mounted on the room wall in the intermediate space between two functional walls, for example. The individual storage containers in the intermediate space between the functional walls are connected to the functional walls but screw-fastened directly to the internal wall or the room wall. The width of this structure is completely flexible, as is the choice of storage containers or intermediate containers arranged between the functional walls. A flap device or screen closes off the front view and thus produces, as desired, a homogeneous appearance which permits a view of the storage containers designed and arranged individually behind the flap device when said flap device is opened.

The height of the individual storage containers and the lateral distance between them and from the functional walls are completely flexible. The size of the individual storage containers and furniture parts is likewise freely selectable. It is not necessary to connect the lateral functional walls to each other via a top shelf, a bottom shelf or a rear wall. The functional walls in the form of side walls can be fastened and adjusted individually.

A further furniture unit according to the invention comprises (only or exactly) one functional wall, on which at least one movable furniture component (and for example a) flap device is held and guided. The movable furniture component (for example, flap device) can be moved between at least two positions. The movable furniture component (e.g. flap device) at least partially screens off a covered space behind the movable furniture component (e.g. flap device) adjacent to the functional wall when in a closed position and at least partially exposes the covered space adjacent to the functional wall when in an open position. The functional wall can be set in its spatial location via adjustable mounting devices or at least one adjustable mounting device. The functional wall can be designed as described above.

With such an embodiment, it is possible for only one functional wall to be provided, on which an adjustable furniture component (e.g. flap device) is adjustably held and guided. The flap fitting e.g. of a flap device can be held on the side of the functional wall and is preferably at least partially accommodated and fastened in the interior of a carcass of the functional wall. When the furniture component is transferred from the closed position to an at least partially open position, a covered space or two covered spaces (to the right and left of the functional wall) is/are at least partially exposed. In the covered spaces, different storage containers can for example be attached to the room wall and be concealed by the furniture component or flap or flap device when it is in the closed position. The furniture component or flap or flap device can extend from the functional wall to one side or else (symmetrically) to both sides.

In all embodiments of a furniture unit having at least one function wall, it is preferred for at least one orientation point to be provided, to allow an (exact) measurement of the functional walls and/or the room walls relative to one another. An orientation point can in particular be taken from a group of orientation points comprising markings, depressions, threads, receptacles, edges, shoulders, holes, coloured dots, patterns and the like.

It is possible and preferred for e.g. at least one fixing unit to be formed on the furniture unit, for receiving or bearing against an aid or a tool or a measuring tool. For example, an eyelet or a hook or a shoulder can be formed on the furniture unit and in particular on at least one functional wall as a fixing unit for a measuring device or a measuring unit such as a tape measure end.

A receptacle for a laser can also be formed in the furniture unit, for example.

At least one print or multiple prints can also be applied with defined distances from the front and the top, or patterns can be formed on the furniture unit, to measure the angle(s) and the distance of the walls from one another. An adhesively bonded print can be removed with pull-off film after orientation, for example. It is also conceivable to remove applied patterns using general or special erasing means or cleaning means.

The invention can be used not only in the described furniture units. Fields of application and options for use are also bathroom furniture and workshop equipment, and therefore a furniture unit can also be in the form of, for example, bathroom furniture or workshop equipment or a workshop wall-mounted cabinet or a part of one of these devices.

In all embodiments, it is possible and preferred for an orientation of at least one functional wall to be possible depthwise too. Therefore, a complete 3D orientation of the furniture unit is preferably preferred. In particular, an orientation in the horizontal and vertical directions and also depthwise is possible.

A depthwise orientation means that the furniture unit overall or the orientation of at least one functional wall can be adjusted not only in the lateral and vertical directions but also in the longitudinal direction or depthwise, that is, towards or away from the room wall. Accordingly, it is preferred for at least one inclination to be settable. This can take place e.g. at upper and lower setting points at which a local distance from the room wall can be set differently. In the case of (locally) slanting walls, for example, this can be practical and/or necessary so that proper functioning can be ensured and in particular so that the flap device does not jam.

It is possible that, in the case of corresponding adjustment on slanting room walls, a gap is produced locally between the functional wall and the room wall, but this gap can be covered or filled with suitable material if necessary.

In all embodiments and developments, it is also possible to carry out laterally acting securing from the end faces and not only from the flat faces of a functional wall or from the flat faces of the functional walls.

FIGS. 1-4 show a first exemplary embodiment of a furniture unit 1 according to the invention, which in this case is designed in the manner of a wall cupboard 100 and comprises, in the exemplary embodiment shown, two lateral functional walls 2 and 3 and an adjustable, movable furniture component 5, in this case a movable furniture component 5 in the form of a pivotable flap device 5a.

In all embodiments, it is possible for another movable furniture component 5 to be used instead of a pivotable flap device 5a. For example, a drawer as the furniture component 5 or multiple drawers can be guided on or between two lateral functional walls 2 and 3.

At least one drawer 5 as the furniture component is then movable between at least two positions 6, 7. Preferably, at least one drawer 5 at least partially covers an intermediate space 8 or receiving space between the functional walls 2, 3 when in a closed position 6 and at least partially exposes the intermediate space (the receiving space of the drawer) when in an open position 7. The two functional walls 2, 3 can then be set in their spatial location independently of each other via separately adjustable mounting devices 9.

Particularly preferably, the furniture unit 1 according to the invention is designed in the manner of a cabinet 100. The flap device 5a as the furniture component 5 is shown in a closed position 6 in FIG. 1 and in an open position 7 in FIG. 2. In FIG. 1, the intermediate space 8 between the two functional walls 2 and 3 is substantially covered by the furniture component 5, in this case the flap device 5a, in a view directly from the front. Owing to the perspective representation from obliquely above, however, a part of the intermediate space 8 can be seen in FIG. 1. As FIG. 2 also shows, a number of separate furniture parts 40 or storage containers are arranged in the intermediate space 8 between the two functional walls 2 and 3.

The furniture parts 40 are each fastened to the room wall 50 separately. This means that the individual furniture parts 40 do not have to have any connection to one another. The furniture parts 40 likewise have no connection to the furniture unit 1 or to the functional walls 2 and 3 under or behind the flap device 4.

In a simple embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1-4, the furniture unit 1 as a whole consists of the lateral functional walls 2 and 3 and the flap device 5 with the in this case pivotable flap and the flap fittings 18, which have been omitted here for the sake of clarity. A flap fitting 18 can be seen in FIG. 5, for example. A wide variety of flap fittings can be used.

The functional walls 2 and 3 are preferably constructed substantially identically or mirror-symmetrically. The functional walls 2 and 3 form furniture walls of the furniture unit 1 and also have an additional function. In this case, the functional walls 2 and 3 receive the flap fittings 18. The flap fittings can for example be arranged visibly on the inner wall of the functional walls 2, 3, so that the flap fittings are visible after the flap device 5a has been transferred to the open position 7. However, it is possible and preferred for the flap fittings to be at least partially and, in particular in the closed position, virtually completely accommodated inside the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 or 3. To this end, the functional walls 2 and 3 each have a receiving space 19, which is used to accommodate a flap fitting 18.

To mount the furniture unit 1, the functional walls 2 and 3 are first attached to the room wall 50 separately from each other. The flap device 5a is preferably attached only after the two functional walls 2 and 3 have been fully mounted and adjusted.

For mounting, a mounting profile 10, which is in this case designed as a mounting board or mounting strip 11, is screw-fastened to the room wall 50 for each functional wall 2, 3 in this exemplary embodiment. An orientation of each functional wall 2, 3 in spatial terms is carried out by corresponding orientation at the mounting holes 14, 15, which are in the form of slots in this case.

The separate furniture parts 40 can be mounted on the room wall 50 separately before complete mounting of the furniture unit 1 or even after complete mounting of the furniture unit 1. The size, type and properties of the individual furniture parts 40 can then be selected individually. It is also possible for a part of a furniture part 40 to protrude upwards beyond the flap device 5a, if complete covering in the closed state is not desired. Parts can also protrude downwards beyond the lower end of the flap device 5a, even if the flap device 5a is in the closed position 6. Usually, however, the flap device 5a will completely cover the furniture parts 40 attached behind it when in the closed position 6, at least in a view from the front, so that a uniform front view results in the closed position 6.

The width and height of the furniture unit 1 can be chosen completely freely. If certain widths are exceeded, or if the user wishes, it is also possible to provide a third or fourth functional wall between the two functional walls 2 and 3, for example, to support the flap device on three or more functional walls.

The mounting profiles 10 on the functional walls 2 and 3 form the mounting device 9, to orient the functional walls 2 and 3 spatially individually and separately from each other.

FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the functional wall 2, in which the receiving space 19 in the interior of the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 is shown with dashed lines. For example, a cartridge with a flap fitting 18 can be inserted into the receiving space 19, or a flap fitting is mounted therein.

The carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 is screwed to the mounting profile 10 in the form of a mounting board 11 via carrier units 30, in this case in the form of screws. The screws 30 are screwed into the receptacles 26 in the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 in order to connect the carcass 4 fixedly to the mounting profile 10 of the mounting device 9. A spatial orientation of the functional wall 2 can take place by means of the slots 14 and 15 in the upper and lower ends of the mounting profile 10, which are accessible from the outside. The mounting profile 10 is fastened to the room wall, such as a concrete wall or else a lightweight construction wall, by means of the fastening unit 20. The room wall 50 can be an internal wall of a building. The room wall 50 can also be mobile and movable, for example. It is also possible for the room wall 50 to be provided by a room divider.

FIG. 4 shows a view from above of the mounting profile 10 of the mounting device 9 for the functional wall 2; the mounting holes 13, which are in the form of slots 14 and 15, can be seen at the upper and lower ends, and the mounting holes 16 for mounting the functional wall 2 can be seen therebetween. The mounting holes 13 for fastening to the room wall 50 preferably have at least one larger diameter 17 than an outer diameter 21 of the screw shaft 23 of the fastening unit 20. The screw head 24 also has a larger diameter than the mounting hole, to allow adjustable mounting on the room wall 50.

FIG. 5 shows a perspective, schematic diagram of a functional wall 2, which can be used in a wide variety of exemplary embodiments. The functional wall 2 can have in its interior receptacles 26 for carrier units or the like, with which the functional wall 2 can be fastened to a mounting profile 10, for example. The functional wall 2 is shown with an inner receiving space 19 in which a flap fitting 18 is mounted.

Completely different flap fittings 18 can also be mounted or arranged in the interior of the receiving space 19. As can be seen in the diagram of FIG. 5, the functional wall 2 can consist of two wall halves which each have a recess or cut-out. Assembling the two wall halves results in the carcass 4 with the receiving space 19 shown. The flap fitting 18 can be inserted before or after assembly of the two wall halves. Other methods of production are also possible.

FIG. 6 shows an exemplary embodiment of a functional wall in which the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 again has a receiving space 19. In this case, the carcass 4 is attached to a room wall 50 via two separate mounting profiles 10 mutually spaced in the vertical direction.

The mounting profile 10 is shown in a perspective diagram in FIG. 7. Overall, the mounting profile 10 has an approximately T-shaped design, the crosspiece of the “T” forming a mounting flange 12 or two mounting lugs protruding from the stem of the “T”. The mounting flange 12 has a plurality of mounting holes. The mounting holes 14 are used to fasten the mounting profile 10 to the room wall 50. In the diagram of FIG. 7, the mounting holes 14 are in the form of slots and are arranged in the vertical direction. This can allow a vertical shift of the mounting profile 10 during mounting.

Protruding from the mounting flange 12, perpendicularly from the room wall 50, is a carrier unit 30, which comprises a bolt 32 and, connected fixedly to the outside thereof, a rotatable eccentric 33. The carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 rests on the eccentric 33 in the receptacle 26. A lateral adjustment and a vertical adjustment of the functional wall 2 can thus be achieved by rotating the eccentric 33. Since two vertically offset mounting profiles are used, specifically one in a region at the upper end of the functional wall 2 and one in the lower region of the functional wall 2, the angle of the functional wall 2 can also be set.

Fastening units 20 are again used for fastening to the room wall 50, as was the case in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4.

FIG. 8 shows a view from above of the mounting profile 10 of the mounting device 9 of FIG. 7, in which the individual slots 14 and the eccentric 33 can be seen in a view from above. Also shown with dashed lines here are two transversely oriented slots 14, which can be present to allow a lateral adjustment on the room wall 50.

In principle, the mounting profile 10 of FIGS. 7 and 8 can be used in a wide variety of exemplary embodiments.

FIG. 9 shows a horizontal cross-section through a functional wall 2 of a further furniture unit 1, in which the carcass 4 again has a cavity as a receiving space 19. A mounting profile 10, as is shown for example in FIG. 7 or 8, is also used in the exemplary embodiment of FIG. 9. The mounting profile 10 again comprises a bolt 32 and an eccentric 33 for simple mounting of the functional wall 2.

FIG. 10 shows the enlarged detail “A” from FIG. 9; it can be seen here that a further mounting profile 10, which in this case is designed as a C-rail 36, is used for mounting on the wall. The mounting rail 35 or C-rail 36 is screw-fastened to the room wall 50. Again, the mounting profile 10 of FIG. 7 or 8 is fastened to the mounting rail 35.

The bolt 32 protruding into the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 can be seen. A securing unit 25, in this case in the form of a securing screw, can be screwed in from the side. The securing unit 25 is shown in this case in the open position. After it has been screwed in, the securing unit 25 fixes the bolt 32 and thus the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2. Unintentional forward pulling out is no longer possible after fixing with the securing unit 25.

A further exemplary embodiment is shown in FIGS. 11 and 12; in this case the functional wall 2 likewise has a carcass 4 and a receiving space 19 formed therein. A mounting profile 10 of the mounting device 9 is used for fastening to the room wall 50. In this case, the mounting profile 10 has a T-shaped cross-section. An elongate web 31 protrudes transversely from the mounting flange 12, which extends over the length of the mounting profile 10, and protrudes into a corresponding groove in the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2. To fix the carcass 4, securing units 25 in the form of screws are screwed from the outside laterally into the carcass 4 of the functional wall 2 and through corresponding holes in the web 31 of the mounting profile 10.

Mounting holes 14 and 15, in this case in the form of slots, are formed in the mounting profile 10 to allow lateral and vertical orientation of the functional wall 2.

FIGS. 13-15 show a further exemplary embodiment, FIG. 13 showing a front view from above of a functional wall 2 of a furniture unit 1. In this case, as shown in FIG. 14, transverse grooves are formed in the room wall 50, which run horizontally but can in principle be oriented in any direction. Mounting rails 35, in this case in the form of C-rails 36, are accommodated in the grooves. The C-rails 36 are screw-fastened to the room wall 50. To this end, holes 13 are provided in the C-rail 36. The functional wall 2 is in turn fastened to the C-rail 36 as the mounting rail 35 via the mounting profile 10, as shown for example in FIGS. 7 and 8.

The mounting profiles 10 in turn have a carrier unit 30, which protrudes transversely from the mounting flange 12 and can comprise a bolt and an eccentric 33, for example. This allows corresponding orientation possibilities of the functional wall 2.

FIGS. 16 and 17 show another exemplary embodiment of a functional wall 2 of a furniture unit 1. The functional wall 2 again has a carcass 4 and a receiving space 19 for a flap fitting 18 in the carcass 4.

A mounting rail 35, in this case in the form of an H-rail 37, is attached to the room wall 50. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 18, a distance of the H-rail 37 from the room wall 50 is set by two nuts 39, one nut 39 of which acts as a locknut. This results in a distance 22b of the H-rail 37 from the room wall 50 and a distance 22a of the H-rail 37 from the carcass 4. It is possible for a (local) slant of the room wall to be compensated by means of different distances of the H-rail at the top/bottom. A spatially optimal adjustment can then be carried out.

As shown in FIG. 19, the H-rail 37 has slots 15, 14 in vertical and horizontal orientations to allow an orientation of the H-rail 37 on the room wall in the vertical and lateral directions.

Fastening arms 38 are screw-fastened to the H-rail 37 at the top and bottom; the fastening arm 38 is shown in FIG. 20. The fastening arms 38 have vertical (in this case short) and horizontal (in this case longer) limbs. Mounting holes are formed on both the vertical limbs 6 and the horizontal limbs. The fastening arms 38 are screw-fastened to the H-rail 37 by the mounting holes 16 on the vertical limbs. The fastening arms 38 can be oriented (at the top and bottom) laterally and vertically by means of the slots 14 and 15. This produces a flexible orientation of the functional wall 2 laterally, vertically and in terms of the inclination angle. The furniture unit with the functional walls 2 and 3 can thereby be oriented optimally relative to each other.

Overall, the invention provides an advantageous furniture unit which allows a flexible design of the interior or the intermediate space between the functional walls 2 and 3 or of the covered space behind a flap device 5a or a movable furniture component 5. A wide variety of storage containers in a wide variety of sizes and spacings can be screw-fastened to the room wall 50. If a uniform surface impression is desired, the flap device 5a or a movable furniture component 5 can be transferred to the closed position 6 so that a uniform surface is produced.

Claims

1. A furniture unit comprising: two mutually spaced functional walls on which at least one movable furniture component is held and guided, the furniture component being movable between at least two positions, and the furniture component at least partially screening off an intermediate space between the functional walls when in a closed position and at least partially exposing said intermediate space when in an open position; and the two functional walls can be set in their spatial location independently of each other via separately adjustable mounting devices.

2. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein the movable furniture component is in the form of a flap device.

3. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein the two functional walls can be fastened to a room wall, and wherein their spatial location can be set relative to the room wall, and wherein furniture parts which are separate in the intermediate space and are not connected to the furniture unit can be fastened to the room wall and thus arranged in the intermediate space.

4. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein the two functional walls are connected to each other only via the furniture component of the furniture unit.

5. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein at least one mounting device comprises at least one mounting profile.

6. The furniture unit according to claim 5, wherein the mounting profile comprises at least one mounting flange.

7. The furniture unit according to claim 5, wherein the mounting profile has at least one mounting hole.

8. The furniture unit according to claim 7, wherein the mounting profile is fastened to the room wall and/or the functional wall via a fastening unit extending through the mounting hole.

9. The furniture unit according to claim 8, wherein the mounting hole has at least one larger diameter than a diameter of the fastening unit, so that a lateral and/or a vertical setting is made possible.

10. The furniture unit according to claim 7, wherein at least one mounting hole is in the form of a slot.

11. The furniture unit according to claim 6, wherein at least one fastening unit comprises a screw having a screw shaft and a screw head which is larger than the screw shaft.

12. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein the mounting device comprises at least one transversely protruding carrier unit.

13. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein at least one web, to which the functional wall is fastened, is formed on the mounting device.

14. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein at least one bolt for supporting the functional wall is formed on the mounting device.

15. The furniture unit according to claim 12, wherein the carrier unit comprises a rotatable eccentric.

16. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein a securing unit for fixing the functional wall is arranged on the functional wall.

17. The furniture unit according to claim 5, wherein the mounting profile can be fastened directly to a room wall or can be fastened to a mounting rail.

18. The furniture unit according to claim 17, wherein the mounting rail is in the form of a C-rail or H-rail.

19. The furniture unit according to claim 17, wherein at least one fastening arm having an L-shaped section is included and is fastened by one limb to the functional wall and by the other limb to the mounting rail.

20. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein a flap fitting is held on each of the two functional walls.

21. The furniture unit according to claim 20, wherein at least one part of the flap fitting which moves during operation is received in a receiving space in the carcass of the functional wall.

22. The furniture unit according to claim 1, wherein three or more functional walls are included.

23. A furniture unit comprising: a functional wall on which at least one furniture component is held and guided, the furniture component being movable between at least two positions, and the furniture component at least partially covering a covered space, covered by the furniture component and adjacent to the functional wall, when in a closed position and at least partially exposing the covered space, adjacent to the functional wall when in an open position, wherein the functional wall can be set in its spatial location via at least one adjustable mounting device.

24. A furniture unit, in particular according to claim 1, having a functional wall with marking, depressions, threads, receptacles etc., which allow an exact measurement of the walls relative to one another.
