Removable Luggage Storage Accessory

A removable luggage storage accessory is an apparatus that creates additional external storage on luggage to retain items in a readily accessible manner. The apparatus may include a fabric sleeve, a first clamping mechanism, a second clamping mechanism, and at least one shoulder strap. The fabric sleeve enables the creation of an external storage space large enough to retain various items readily accessible outside the luggage. The first clamping mechanism serves as a closure that can be selectively opened to retrieve items retained within the fabric sleeve. The second clamping mechanism prevents the items retained within the fabric sleeve from falling out. The at least one shoulder strap enables the user to carry the apparatus from the shoulder when the apparatus is used as a carry-on bag. The at least one shoulder strap also enable the apparatus to be hanged from an object or to be carried as a handbag.

The current application claims a priority to the U.S. provisional patent application Ser. No. 63/064,736 filed on Aug. 12, 2020.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to luggage and travel accessories. More specifically, the present invention provides a removable storage accessory that fits over luggage to externally store additional items so that these items can be made readily available during travel. The present invention can also be converted to an independent carry-on bag to transport items without the need of luggage.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

When it comes to traveling, additional organizational storage is often needed to manage everything that is required during travel. Many people would like to bring items during travel to pass the time such as books, magazines, blankets, pillows/neckrolls, baby bottles, drink, food, clothes, children's toys, gaming units, etc. So, these items need to be readily available without the user having to open the luggage. Some luggage contain external pockets as secondary storage outside the luggage for quick retrieval of the items stored within. However, few types of luggage are equipped with enough external pockets to hold multiple items that need to be readily accessible. In addition, the external pockets often available in most luggage are very shallow without much storage space, preventing them from handling many items, especially larger items, at a time. There are some small travel bags designed to be attached to larger luggage for additional storage space during travel. Unfortunately, these bags are often designed to be used with specific luggage, they increase the amount of luggage being carried around, and they can make it difficult for the user to quickly retrieve the desired items.

An objective of the present invention is to provide a removable luggage storage accessory designed to prevent the user from having to open their luggage and dig through the luggage to find what they need. The present invention allows the user to obtain what they want quickly without having to open the main storage compartments of the luggage by creating storage space outside the luggage. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a removable luggage storage accessory that can be easily attached to any luggage and be tightly secured to the luggage to prevent the stored items from falling out. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a removable luggage storage accessory that can be easily detached from the luggage and configured to be used as a carry-on bag that can be comfortably carried around. Additional features and benefits of the present invention are further discussed in the sections below.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a removable luggage storage accessory that can be externally attached as a covering to luggage to create a large external pocket for items that are needed during travel, such as books or a neck pillow. The present invention is a covering that can have a mesh structure or a solid structure depending on the items needed to be stored within. The present invention also provides multiple fastening means to secure the covering to different portions of the luggage. The fastening means can be easily engaged to secure the covering to the top portion of the luggage as well as to the bottom portion of the luggage. In addition, secondary fastening means can be provided on the present invention that further secure the covering around the bottom portion of the luggage to prevent stored items from falling out of the covering.

Furthermore, the present invention can be configured to be used as a carry-on bag by using the fastening means provided on the covering to close the open ends of the covering. The fastening means also facilitate the retrieval of the stored items within by quickly opening and closing the open ends of the covering. With the items still retained inside the covering, the present invention can be removed from the luggage with both ends sealed by the fastening means to form a closed bag structure. Then, the user can transport these items independent of the luggage. The present invention can also be carried around from the user's shoulder, hanged on the telescopic handle of the luggage, or carried as a handbag.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

The present invention is a removable luggage storage accessory that creates additional external storage on luggage to retain items in a readily accessible manner. As can be seen in FIGS. 7 through 9, the present invention may comprise a fabric sleeve 1, a first clamping mechanism 4, a second clamping mechanism 10, and at least one shoulder strap 16. The fabric sleeve 1 enables the creation of an external storage space large enough to retain various items readily accessible outside the luggage. The first clamping mechanism 4 serves as a closure that can be selectively opened to retrieve items retained within the fabric sleeve 1. The second clamping mechanism 10 prevents the items retained within the fabric sleeve 1 from falling out. The at least one shoulder strap 16 enables the user to carry the present invention from the shoulder when the present invention is used as a carry-on bag. The at least one shoulder strap 16 can also be used as a handle to carry the present invention as a handbag.

The general configuration of the aforementioned components enables users to keep desired items safely stored outside the luggage even if the luggage does not provide external storage means. As can be seen in FIGS. 1 through 4, the fabric sleeve 1 is preferably a hollow, open-ended sleeve structure made of fabric that is large enough to fit over most luggage. The fabric sleeve 1 is flexible enough to conform to the shape of the luggage but sturdy enough to support the weight of the items retained within. In addition, the fabric sleeve 1 can be made from different types of fabrics. In one embodiment, the fabric sleeve 1 may be made of a mesh fabric that enables the user to see through the fabric to see the items retained within, as shown in FIGS. 1 through 6. In another embodiment, the fabric sleeve 1 may be made of a multi-layered fabric that is sturdier than the mesh fabric to retain heavier items, as shown in FIGS. 7 through 12. The multi-layered fabric may include different types of protective layers such as a waterproof layer to protect the retained items from the surroundings. Further, the at least one shoulder strap 16 is an elongated strap structure that is long enough for the fabric sleeve 1 and the retained items to be carried from the user's shoulder. As can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 6, the at least one shoulder strap 16 may also include padding material distributed along the at least one shoulder strap 16 to make carrying the present invention as comfortable as possible. In other embodiments, different types of fabric may be utilized for the fabric sleeve 1 and the at least one shoulder strap 16 may be replaced with other carrying means such as a handle. The handle can be releasably attached to the fabric sleeve 1 so that the user can carry the present invention as a handbag.

Due to the open-ended structure of the fabric sleeve 1, the fabric sleeve 1 comprises a first open end 2 and a second open end 3 corresponding to the open ends of the fabric sleeve 1, as shown in FIGS. 7 through 9. Further, the at least one shoulder strap 16 comprises a first strap end 17 and a second strap end 18 due to the long strap structure of the at least one shoulder strap 16. The first clamping mechanism 4 is mounted about the first open end 2 so that the user can selectively open or close the first open end 2. Similarly, the second clamping mechanism 10 is mounted about the second open end 3 to enable the selective opening or closing of the second open end 3. Further, the first strap end 17 is laterally connected to the fabric sleeve 1, adjacent to the first open end 2. On the other hand, the second strap end 18 is laterally connected to the fabric sleeve 1, adjacent to the second open end 3. Thus, the at least one shoulder strap 16 is tethered in between the first open end 2 and the second open end 3, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 12. This enables the retained items to be balanced within the fabric sleeve 1 when the present invention is carried on the shoulder as a carry-on bag or carried as a handbag. In other embodiments, the first strap end 17 and the second strap end 18 can each be connected to different locations on the fabric sleeve 1.

As can be seen in FIGS. 3, 4, and 10, the first clamping mechanism 4 is designed to facilitate the quick retrieval of retained items from within the fabric sleeve 1. So, the first clamping mechanism 4 may further comprise a first casing 5, a first entrance opening 6, a first exit opening 7, and a first drawstring 8. The first casing 5 is a structure that houses the first drawstring 8 and enables the selective opening and closing of the first open end 2. The first entrance opening 6 and the first exit opening 7 enable the first drawstring 8 to be pulled or released to enable the selective opening and closing of the first open end 2, respectively. The first casing 5 is integrated into the fabric sleeve 1 around the first open end 2 so that the first drawstring 8 is wrapped around the first open end 2. Further, the first entrance opening 6 is integrated into the first casing 5. The first exit opening 7 is also integrated into the first casing 5, preferably adjacent to the first entrance opening 6. Then, the first drawstring 8 traverses into the first entrance opening 6, through the first casing 5, and out of the first exit opening 7. This enables the first open end 2 to be selectively closed by pulling the first drawstring 8 out through the first entrance opening 6 and/or the first exit opening 7 which draws the first entrance opening 6 closed. Alternatively, the first open end 2 can be selectively opened by releasing the first drawstring 8, which releases the first entrance opening 6 to be opened. Furthermore, to maintain the first open end 2 opened or closed, the first clamping mechanism 4 may further comprise a first stopper 9. The first stopper 9 is designed to maintain the first drawstring 8 pulled or released to keep the first open end 2 closed or opened, respectively. The first stopper 9 is externally positioned to the first casing 5 to maintain the first stopper 9 accessible to the user. The first stopper 9 is also operatively coupled to the first drawstring 8, wherein the first stopper 9 is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the first drawstring 8. For example, the first stopper 9 may be a spring-loaded stopper which the first drawstring 8 is passed through. The user can engage the spring-loaded stopper to release the first drawstring 8 and then release the spring-loaded stopper to lock the first drawstring 8 in place. In other embodiments, the first clamping mechanism 4 can be replaced with other fasteners such as a hook and loop fastener or a cinch mechanism. The first stopper 9 can also be replaced with a suitable locking mechanism.

As can be seen in FIGS. 3, 4, and 11, the second clamping mechanism 10 is designed to keep the retained items within the fabric sleeve 1. Similar to the first clamping mechanism 4, the second clamping mechanism 10 may further comprise a second casing 11, a second entrance opening 12, a second exit opening 13, and a second drawstring 14. Like the first casing 5, the second casing 11 is a structure that houses the second drawstring 14 and enables the selective opening and closing of the second open end 3. The second entrance opening 12 and the second exit opening 13 enable the second drawstring 14 to be pulled or released to enable the selective opening and closing of the second open end 3, respectively. The second casing 11 is integrated into the fabric sleeve 1 around the second open end 3 so that the second drawstring 14 is wrapped around the second open end 3. Further, the second entrance opening 12 is integrated into the second casing 11. The second exit opening 13 is also integrated into the second casing 11, preferably adjacent to the second entrance opening 12. Then, the second drawstring 14 traverses into the second entrance opening 12, through the second casing 11, and out of the second exit opening 13. This enables the second open end 3 to be selectively closed by pulling the second drawstring 14 out through the second entrance opening 12 and/or the second exit opening 13, which draws the second entrance opening 12 closed. Alternatively, the second open end 3 can be selectively opened by releasing the second drawstring 14, which releases the second entrance opening 12 to be opened. Furthermore, to maintain the second open end 3 opened or closed, the second clamping mechanism 10 may further comprise a second stopper 15. The second stopper 15 is designed to maintain the second drawstring 14 pulled or released to keep the second open end 3 closed or opened, respectively. The second stopper 15 is externally positioned to the second casing 11 to maintain the second stopper 15 accessible to the user. The second stopper 15 is also operatively coupled to the second drawstring 14, wherein the second stopper 15 is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the second drawstring 14. For example, the second stopper 15 may be a spring-loaded stopper through which the second drawstring 14 is passed through. The user can engage the spring-loaded stopper to release the second drawstring 14 and then release the spring-loaded stopper to lock the second drawstring 14 in place. In other embodiments, the second clamping mechanism 10 can be replaced with other fasteners such as a hook and loop fastener or a cinch mechanism. The second stopper 15 can also be replaced with a suitable locking mechanism.

The present invention enables multiple items to be stored within the fabric sleeve 1, which may increase the load on the second clamping mechanism 10. To help support the load on the second clamping mechanism 10, the present invention may further comprise a contents-cinching mechanism 19. As can be seen in FIGS. 3, 4, and 9, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 is designed to tightly secure the second open end 3 to the luggage to prevent retained items from falling out of the fabric sleeve 1. To do so, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 is laterally mounted around the fabric sleeve 1 to connect the contents-cinching mechanism 19 to the fabric sleeve 1. In addition, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 is positioned adjacent to the second clamping mechanism 10, opposite to the second open end 3. This enables the user to fasten both the second clamping mechanism 10 and the contents-cinching mechanism 19 to fully close the second open end 3. Thus, any items retained within the fabric sleeve 1 do not fall out of the fabric sleeve 1. The contents-cinching mechanism 19 can include multiple types of cinching mechanisms. For example, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 can be an elastic band, a plurality of snap fasteners, or even hook and loop fasteners. In other embodiments, multiple cinching mechanisms can be provided throughout the fabric sleeve 1 to secure the fabric sleeve 1 to the luggage.

In some embodiments, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 may be length adjustable so that the fabric sleeve 1 may be adjusted to match different sizes of luggage. To do so, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 may comprise a cinching casing 20, a cinching entrance opening 21, a cinching exit opening 22, and a cinching belt 23, as shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 9. Like the first casing 5, the cinching casing 20 is a structure that houses the cinching belt 23 and enables the fastening of the fabric sleeve 1 to the luggage. The cinching entrance opening 21 and the cinching exit opening 22 enable the cinching belt 23 to be pulled to fasten the fabric sleeve 1 to the luggage. Moreover, the cinching casing 20 is integrated into the fabric sleeve 1 so that the fabric sleeve 1 is pulled against the luggage when the cinching belt 23 is pulled. The cinching entrance opening 21 is integrated into the cinching casing 20. The cinching exit opening 22 is also integrated into the cinching casing 20, preferably adjacent to the cinching entrance opening 21. In addition, the cinching belt 23 traverses into the cinching entrance opening 21, through the cinching casing 20, and out of the cinching exit opening 22. Thus, as the cinching belt 23 is pulled out of the cinching casing 20, the fabric sleeve 1 is pulled against the luggage, thus securing the fabric sleeve 1 to the luggage. Furthermore, like the first clamping mechanism 4 and the second clamping mechanism 10, the length of the contents-cinching mechanism 19 can be locked to a desired working length to match the size of the luggage. So, the contents-cinching mechanism 19 may further comprise a buckling mechanism 24. The buckling mechanism 24 is externally positioned to the cinching casing 20 to maintain the buckling mechanism 24 accessible to the user. The buckling mechanism 24 is also operatively coupled to the cinching belt 23, wherein the buckling mechanism 24 is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the cinching belt 23. For example, the buckling mechanism 24 can include a first buckle member and a second buckle member. The cinching belt 23 can also include a first belt end and a second belt end. The first buckle member is connected to the first belt end while the second buckle member is connected to the second belt end. Then, to fasten and adjust the length of the cinching belt 23, the first buckle member is engaged along the second buckle member to adjust the working length of the cinching belt 23 as necessary. In other embodiments, different fastening mechanism can be utilized to fasten the fabric sleeve 1 to the luggage.

Furthermore, to maintain the at least one shoulder strap 16 close to the fabric sleeve 1 when not in use, the present invention may further comprise at least one strap restraint 25. As can be seen in FIGS. 3, 4, and 12, the at least one strap restraint 25 keeps the at least one shoulder strap 16 close to the fabric sleeve 1 so that the at least one shoulder strap 16 does not flutter around when the fabric sleeve 1 is on the luggage. This also prevents the at least one shoulder strap 16 from obstructing the movement of the luggage, such as getting tangled with the wheels of the luggage. The at least one strap restraint 25 can also be utilized to adjust the working length of the at least one shoulder strap 16. The at least one strap restraint 25 is laterally mounted to the fabric sleeve 1 to keep the at least one strap restraint 25 accessible from the outside of the fabric sleeve 1. Further, to secure the at least one shoulder strap 16 to the fabric sleeve 1, the at least one shoulder strap 16 is operatively coupled to the at least one strap restraint 25, wherein the at least one strap restraint 25 is used to secure the at least one shoulder strap 16 against the fabric sleeve 1. For example, the at least one strap restraint 25 may be a short fastener strap sewn onto the fabric sleeve 1 that can be strapped around the at least one shoulder strap 16. This also eliminates the need to remove the at least one shoulder strap 16 from the fabric sleeve 1 when not in use. In other embodiments, different strap restraints can be used to secure the at least one shoulder strap 16 to the fabric sleeve 1.

In an exemplary embodiment, the fabric sleeve 1 can be attached onto the desired luggage by fully opening both first open end 2 and the second open end 3, as shown in FIGS. 1 through 4. This enables the user to position the fabric sleeve 1 on top of the luggage and slide the second open end 3 down the body of the luggage. Once the second open end 3 reaches the desired location along the luggage, preferably close to the wheels of the luggage to create the largest storage space, the user can engage the second stopper 15 to pull on the second drawstring 14 to secure the second open end 3 against the luggage. The user can also engage the buckling mechanism 24 to fasten the cinching belt 23, thus fully securing the second open end 3 to the luggage to prevent any retained items from falling out of the fabric sleeve 1. The user can then insert items into the storage space created by the fabric sleeve 1 through the first open end 2. Afterwards, the user can engage the first stopper 9 to pull on the first drawstring 8 to close the first open end 2. To easily retrieve the retained items from the fabric sleeve 1, the user can open the first open end 2 by engaging the first stopper 9 to release the first drawstring 8. When the user does not want the fabric sleeve 1 on the luggage, the user can release the first clamping mechanism 4 to remove the retained items. Then, the second clamping mechanism 10 and the contents-cinching mechanism 19 are released to loosen the rest of the fabric sleeve 1 from the luggage. The user can then remove the fabric sleeve 1 from the luggage.

As can be seen in FIGS. 1, 5, and 6, to use the present invention as a carry-one bag or a handbag, the user can first close either the first open end 2 or the second open end 3 using the first clamping mechanism 4 or the second clamping mechanism 10, respectively. Then, the user can insert the items to be retained into the fabric sleeve 1 through the open end not closed. After the items have been inserted into the fabric sleeve 1, the user can engage the clamping mechanism of the open end to fully close the fabric sleeve 1. The user can attach the at least one shoulder strap 16 to the fabric sleeve 1 if the at least one shoulder strap 16 is no attached to the fabric sleeve 1. If the at least one shoulder strap 16 is being retained against the fabric sleeve 1 using the at least one strap restraint 25, the user can loosen the at least one strap restraint 25 to release the at least one shoulder strap 16. Then, the user can carry the present invention along with the retained items from the at least one shoulder strap 16. The present invention can also be hanged from various objects such as the telescopic handle of the luggage by tethering the fabric sleeve 1 from the telescopic handle by the at least one shoulder strap 16. The fabric sleeve 1 can also be hanged from any object using the first drawstring 8 and/or the second drawstring 14. Furthermore, the present invention can be carried as a handbag from a shortened at least one shoulder strap 16 or a secondary handle that can be releasably attached to the fabric sleeve 1. In other embodiments, the present invention can be attached to other objects using different fasteners or attachments.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

1. A removable luggage storage accessory comprising:

a fabric sleeve;
a first clamping mechanism;
a second clamping mechanism;
at least one shoulder strap;
the fabric sleeve comprising a first open end and a second open end;
the at least one shoulder strap comprising a first strap end and a second strap end;
the first clamping mechanism being mounted about the first open end;
the second clamping mechanism being mounted about the second open end;
the first strap end being laterally connected to the fabric sleeve, adjacent to the first open end; and,
the second strap end being laterally connected to the fabric sleeve, adjacent to the second open end.

2. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1 comprising:

the first clamping mechanism comprising a first casing, a first entrance opening, a first exit opening, and a first drawstring;
the first casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve around the first open end;
the first entrance opening being integrated into the first casing;
the first exit opening being integrated into the first casing; and,
the first drawstring traversing into the first entrance opening, through the first casing, and out of the first exit opening.

3. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 2 comprising:

the first clamping mechanism further comprising a first stopper;
the first stopper being externally positioned to the first casing; and,
the first stopper being operatively coupled to the first drawstring, wherein the first stopper is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the first drawstring.

4. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1 comprising:

the second clamping mechanism comprising a second casing, a second entrance opening, a second exit opening, and a second drawstring;
the second casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve around the second open end;
the second entrance opening being integrated into the second casing;
the second exit opening being integrated into the second casing; and,
the second drawstring traversing into the second entrance opening, through the second casing, and out of the second exit opening.

5. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 4 comprising:

the second clamping mechanism further comprising a second stopper;
the second stopper being externally positioned to the second casing; and,
the second stopper being operatively coupled to the second drawstring, wherein the second stopper is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the second drawstring.

6. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1 comprising:

a contents-cinching mechanism;
the contents-cinching mechanism being laterally mounted around the fabric sleeve; and,
the contents-cinching mechanism being positioned adjacent to the second clamping mechanism, opposite to the second open end.

7. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 6 comprising:

the contents-cinching mechanism comprising a cinching casing, a cinching entrance opening, a cinching exit opening, and a cinching belt;
the cinching casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve;
the cinching entrance opening being integrated into the cinching casing;
the cinching exit opening being integrated into the cinching casing; and,
the cinching belt traversing into the cinching entrance opening, through the cinching casing, and out of the cinching exit opening.

8. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 7 comprising:

the contents-cinching mechanism further comprising a buckling mechanism;
the buckling mechanism being externally positioned to the cinching casing; and,
the buckling mechanism being operatively coupled to the cinching belt, wherein the buckling mechanism is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the cinching belt.

9. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fabric sleeve is made of a mesh fabric.

10. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fabric sleeve is made of a multi-layered fabric.

11. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 1 comprising:

at least one strap restraint; and,
at least one strap restraint being laterally mounted to the fabric sleeve.

12. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 11 comprising:

the at least one shoulder strap being operatively coupled to the at least one strap restraint, wherein the at least one strap restraint is used to secure the at least one shoulder strap against the fabric sleeve.

13. A removable luggage storage accessory comprising:

a fabric sleeve;
a first clamping mechanism;
a second clamping mechanism;
at least one shoulder strap;
a contents-cinching mechanism;
the fabric sleeve comprising a first open end and a second open end;
the at least one shoulder strap comprising a first strap end and a second strap end;
the first clamping mechanism being mounted about the first open end;
the second clamping mechanism being mounted about the second open end;
the first strap end being laterally connected to the fabric sleeve, adjacent to the first open end;
the second strap end being laterally connected to the fabric sleeve, adjacent to the second open end;
the contents-cinching mechanism being laterally mounted around the fabric sleeve; and,
the contents-cinching mechanism being positioned adjacent to the second clamping mechanism, opposite to the second open end.

14. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13 comprising:

the first clamping mechanism comprising a first casing, a first entrance opening, a first exit opening, a first drawstring, and a first stopper;
the first casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve around the first open end;
the first entrance opening being integrated into the first casing;
the first exit opening being integrated into the first casing;
the first drawstring traversing into the first entrance opening, through the first casing, and out of the first exit opening;
the first stopper being externally positioned to the first casing; and,
the first stopper being operatively coupled to the first drawstring, wherein the first stopper is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the first drawstring.

15. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13 comprising:

the second clamping mechanism comprising a second casing, a second entrance opening, a second exit opening, a second drawstring, and a second stopper;
the second casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve around the second open end;
the second entrance opening being integrated into the second casing;
the second exit opening being integrated into the second casing;
the second drawstring traversing into the second entrance opening, through the second casing, and out of the second exit opening;
the second stopper being externally positioned to the second casing; and,
the second stopper being operatively coupled to the second drawstring, wherein the second stopper is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the second drawstring.

16. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13 comprising:

the contents-cinching mechanism comprising a cinching casing, a cinching entrance opening, a cinching exit opening, a cinching belt, and a buckling mechanism;
the cinching casing being integrated into the fabric sleeve;
the cinching entrance opening being integrated into the cinching casing;
the cinching exit opening being integrated into the cinching casing;
the cinching belt traversing into the cinching entrance opening, through the cinching casing, and out of the cinching exit opening;
the buckling mechanism being externally positioned to the cinching casing; and,
the buckling mechanism being operatively coupled to the cinching belt, wherein the buckling mechanism is used to shorten or lengthen a working length of the cinching belt.

17. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13, wherein the fabric sleeve is made of a mesh fabric.

18. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13, wherein the fabric sleeve is made of a multi-layered fabric.

19. The removable luggage storage accessory as claimed in claim 13 comprising:

at least one strap restraint;
at least one strap restraint being laterally mounted to the fabric sleeve; and,
the at least one shoulder strap being operatively coupled to the at least one strap restraint, wherein the at least one strap restraint is used to secure the at least one shoulder strap against the fabric sleeve.
