Description
FIELD

The present application relates to an apparatus that is comprised of plastic and/or metal and is used for complete body fitness training and/or exercise.

BACKGROUND

There are many different styles of multi function home gyms for entire body fitness training. They comprise of a method to move resistance using elastic resistance bands, bars, handles, cables, and pulleys. One segment of home exercise equipment uses a platform in which the user attaches elastic bands. Exercise resistance bands come in different styles. Some are tubes with clips to attach to handles or anchor points. Others are closed looped bands. Some platforms are specific to only one style of resistance band. The bands are pulled while the user stands on a platform or are attached to an anchor point. The resistance is estimated by the thickness of the band but is otherwise unknown. The resistance band exercise scale platform will allow a multitude of exercises, use a variety elastic band styles, and will display the resistance that is being applied while exercising.

The resistance band exercise scale platform is a platform used to exercise with resistance bands. Exercise resistance bands come in different styles. Some are tubes with clips to attach to handles or anchor points. Others are closed looped bands. The user can route the resistance band(s) underneath or attach the resistance band(s) to the platform. Once the bands are in position, the user will stand on the platform using their body to counter the force from pulling or pushing the resistance band for exercise. The scale portion will measure the users body weight and also used their body weight as a zero reference. When the user is pulling on the band, the counter force will cause an increased weight greater than the users body weight on the scale. This weight will be displayed from the zero reference of the users body weight. This represents the amount of force that the user needs to pull or push the resistance band for the exercise. The weight can be displayed on the platform itself, or wireless blue tooth to a mobile device/tablet application.

SUMMARY

By using an electric digital scale (with wireless data transmission) placed on top of a platform (designed for resistance band exercises), a method of displaying the resistance to the user will be achieved.

The disclosed exemplary embodiment provide an apparatus in which resistance bands, an electric digital scale (with wireless data transmission), and platform (designed for resistance band exercises) are used to provide a method of exercise for all areas of a person's body. An advantage of the resistance band platform gym is it will allow a multitude of exercises with a variety of elastic band styles and display the resistance to the user and automatically count the repetitions. Another advantage is rollers will be used as points of redirection as tension is placed on the resistance bands. This will eliminate friction which in turn will prevent damage to the resistance bands as they are stretched during exercise.

Further objects, features, advantages and properties of assembly according to the present application will become apparent from the detailed description.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In the following detailed description, the apparatus according to the teachings for this application in the form of a resistance band exercise scale platform will be described by the embodiment. The overall shape is rectangular. Not all parts are displayed in each specific view, but may be mentioned in the descriptions. Parts will be connected by common fastening techniques such as screws, nuts and bolts, and any other method deemed appropriate for assembly.

The first embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 1. This view displays four corner blocks part 1 connected together with platform base top part 9. In between each corner block will be two short rollers part 10 and two long rollers part 7. Each roller will have roller bearings part 8 at each end to provide the rolling function. All the fore mentioned parts will comprise the platform base. The scale represented by the scale top part 2 and the four scale feet part 6 will be attached to the platform base. Attachment of the scale will comprise of four tubes part 5, four linear slide bearings part 4, and four bolts part 3. Four holes will be placed into each corner of the scale. The linear slide bearings part 4 will be inserted into the top section of the scale holes. The tubes part 5 will be inserted into the linear slide bearings part 4 and will be slightly taller than the distance from the top of the platform base to the top of the scale. The bolts part 3 will be inserted into the tubes part 5 and screwed down into the platform base. The tubes part 5 being slightly taller than the scale will provide attachment of the scale to the platform base without interfering with the scale function. The linear slide bearings allow the scale to function by allowing downward motion when standing on the scale top part 2.

The second embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 2 bottom view. This view displays the four corner blocks part 1 connected to platform base top part 9 with two short rollers part 10 and two long rollers part 7 connected in between the four corner blocks part 1.

The third embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 3 top view. This view displays the four corner blocks part 1 with two short rollers part 10 and two long rollers part 7 connected in between the four corner blocks part 1. On top is the scale top part 2 with the linear slid bearings part 4 and the bolts part 3 used to secure the scale to the platform base top part 9.

The fourth embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 4 long side view. This view displays two of the four corner blocks part 1 attached to platform base top part 9 with one of two long rollers part 7 connected between corner blocks part 1. On top of platform base top 9 is the scale comprising of the scale top part 2 and two of four scale feet part 6. Two of four bolts part 3 and tubes part 5 are used for attachment of scale to platform base top 9.

The fifth embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 5 short side view. This view displays two of the four corner blocks part 1 attached to platform base top part 9 with one of two short rollers part 10 connected between corner blocks part 1. On top of platform base top 9 is the scale comprising of the scale top part 2 and two of four scale feet part 6. Two of four bolts part 3 and tubes part 5 are used for attachment of scale to platform base top 9.

The sixth embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 6 is starting exercise repetition example. This example is of a dead lift exercise. The user stands on the resistance band platform gym and turns on the electronic digital scale, connects a tablet, smart phone, or any other device (identified with number 12 in drawing) to the scale using wireless data connections such as Bluetooth. The resistance band platform gym application is opened. The scale will use the users weight as a zero point. As long as the scale remains powered, it will remember the zero point. This is the starting position. The information displayed on the wireless device image 12 will be exercise entered (EX), repetition (REP) and weight (OLBS). The user routes the resistance bands underneath the resistance band platform gym, squats down to grab the resistance bands and stands up.

The seventh embodiment of the resistance band exercise scale platform is FIG. 7 finishing exercise repetition example. When the user stands up while pulling up the resistance bands, downward pressure is applied to the scale. The scale reads the downward pressure created and displays the weight of the downward pressure on the wireless device (image 12 in drawing). Once the peak weight is reached (150 lbs), the application will save this information, and as the user begins to squat back down, the application will automatically count this as 1 repetition. Going from 0 lbs to 150 lbs and back to 0 lbs will count as a repetition at a weight of 150 lbs.
