DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new sleeve device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the beverage sleeve assembly 10 generally comprises a panel 12 that is formed into a cylinder 14 such that the panel 12 can be positioned around a beverage container 16. The beverage container 16 may be a drinking glass, a beverage can, a beverage bottle or any other cylindrical beverage container. The panel 12 has a first layer 18 that is comprised of a thermally insulating material to inhibit thermal communication between the first layer 18 and the beverage container 16. Additionally, the panel 12 has a second layer 20 that is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to inhibit a user's hands from getting wet when holding the beverage container 16. The first layer 18 may be comprised of viscose fabric and the second layer 20 may be comprised of polyester and olefin. Moreover, the viscose may comprise approximately 50.0 percent of the panel 12, the polyester may comprise approximately 35.0 percent of the panel 12 and the olefin may comprise approximately 15.0 percent of the panel 12.

The first layer 18 has a first surface 22, a second surface 24 and a perimeter edge 26 extending therebetween, and the perimeter edge 26 has a top side 28, a bottom side 30, a first lateral side 32 and a second lateral side 34. The first surface 22 abuts an outside 36 of the beverage container 16. The second layer 20 has a primary surface 38, a secondary surface 40 and an outer edge 42 extending therebetween, and the outer edge 42 has an upper side 44, a lower side 46, a first lateral side 48 and a second lateral side 50. The primary surface 38 is bonded to the second surface 24 of the first layer 18 having the outer edge 42 of the second layer 20 being aligned with the perimeter edge 26 of the first layer 18.

The panel 12 is wrapped upon itself having the first layer 18 of the first layer 18 overlapping and being bonded to the secondary surface 40 of the second layer 20 along a line that is oriented parallel with the first lateral side 48 of the outer edge 42 of the second layer 20. Each of the top side 28 of the perimeter edge 26 and the upper side 44 of the outer edge 42 defines a top end 52 of the cylinder 14 defined by the panel 12. Additionally, each of the bottom side 30 of the perimeter edge 26 and the lower side 46 of the outer edge 42 defines a bottom end 54 of the cylinder 14 defined by the panel 12. The panel 12 may have a height ranging between approximately 4.0 inches and 6.0 inches and the cylinder 14 defined by the panel 12 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 3.0 inches and 5.0 inches. As is most clearly shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the cylinder 14 defined by the panel 12 may taper inwardly between the top end 52 of the cylinder 14 and the bottom end 54 of the cylinder 14.

In use, the beverage container 16 is slid into the cylinder 14 defined by the panel 12 to inhibit thermal communication between the beverage container 16 and a user's hand. Additionally, the second layer 20 of the panel 12 absorbs moisture to inhibit the user's hand from getting wet. The materials of which the panel 12 is constructed facilitate the panel 12 to be laundered or washed. In this way the panel 12 can be continuously reused on a variety of beverage containers.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
