TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a type of rollable bed base that will serve as a platform for use in the furniture sector, especially in the mattress production sector, for mattresses, headboards and beds without a base.

STATE OF ART

Human beings are in a continuous development in order to meet their various needs since the day they existed on earth. In this development process, providing human comfort is one of the most basic needs. Today, daily life is tried to be facilitated and to increase the comfort level with many products produced in the furniture sector. One of the basic needs is the production of mattresses where people perform their resting activities. Today, the beds have been developed and transformed into products called bed base that can be used as closets at the bottom.

Bed base, in its basic definition, is a product that is needed in homes and is also preferred with its box feature since the beds are made on a flat platform.

Although the bed bases offer advantages in terms of storage, they also have shortcomings. The main problem of all bed bases is that they cannot be shipped by mail in e-commerce sales. Even if it can be shipped, the cost of the transportation of the product is much higher than the product price.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention eliminates the disadvantages described in the state of the art and meets the needs.

The present invention relates to a type of rollable bed base that will serve as a platform for use in the furniture sector, especially in the mattress production sector, for mattresses, headboards and beds without a base.

The present invention distinguishes itself from its counterparts with a feature that the product can be rolled (wrappable), which is known in the mattress sector, as a roll pack.

When looking to the invention in terms of export, the most important benefit is; The container loading quantities of the invention are approximately 7-8 times higher compared to competing products. While 60-70 pieces of normal products can be loaded in a 150×200 cm in a 40 ‘container, 400-450 units of the same size can be loaded into the same container from our invention.

The present invention is seen as an advantage to reduce shipping costs in mail shipments in sales made by E-commerce.

Considering the present invention in general, it is also advantageous in that the storage cost of the product is very low since it takes up very little space compared to similar products.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a kind of bed base consisting of cover (1), felt (3), spring (4) and laths (5); characterized in that it can be rolled.

At the stage of production of invention;

The following process steps are used;

First, the felt (3) is attached to the spring (4).

Laths (5) are nailed or glued onto the felt (3).

A felt (3) is attached to the other surface of the spring (4).

A sheath (1) is put on these layers, which are defined as the core.

If this cover (1) has a zipper (2), the zipper (2) is closed, if it is without a zipper (2), the cover (1) is closed by sewing.

Production also can be carried out with the following process steps.

A felt (3) is attached to both surfaces of the spring (4).

A sheath (1) is put on these layers, which are defined as cores.

If this cover (1) has a zipper (2), the zipper (2) is closed, if it is without a zipper (2), the cover (1) is closed by sewing.

Laths (5) are placed in the pockets at the bottom of the cover (1) and the open side of the pockets is closed with zipper (2) or velcro.

Claims

1. A bed base comprising:

a cover (1),
a felt (3),
a spring (4); and
laths (5),
wherein the bed base is rollable.

2. The bed base according to claim 1, wherein the laths (5) on the spring (4) are connected with felts (3) fastened to one or both sides of the spring (4)

3. The bed base according to claim 2, wherein the cover (1) is worn on a core layer including the laths (5) combined with the spring (4) and the felt (3).

4. The bed base according to claim 2, wherein the cover is saw on the core layer including the laths (5) combined with the spring (4) and the felt (3).

5. The bed base according to claim 3, wherein the laths (5) are placed in pockets at a bottom side of the cover (1).

6. The bed base according to claim 5, wherein an open side of the pockets is closed with a zipper (2) or velcro.
