SMOKING CARTRIDGE OF GAS HEATING SMOKING ARTICLE AND ITS SMOKING ARTICLE
A smoking cartridge of a gas-heated smoking article and its smoking articles are provided. The smoking cartridge includes a heat-not-burn smoking body and a mouth piece. The heat-not-burn smoking body is a column made of thermal conductive metal foil, wrapping tobacco and smoking liquid capsules. In a heating process of the heat-not-burn smoking body, the smoking liquid capsules release a smoking liquid and increase a vapor volume. A low-temperature cigarette is provided with an energy of burning propane gas or butane gas to smokers who are having difficulties to quit smoking, wherein the low-temperature cigarette produces a similar smoke with a taste of ordinary cigarettes. Since the heat-not-burn smoking body do not burn, the heat-not-burn smoking body reduces a variety of harmful components produced by the ordinary cigarettes due to tobacco combustion and thermal cracking, such as tar, carbon monoxide, cigarette ash and other harmful substances with traditional cigarette's combustion.

TECHNICAL FIELDThe invention relates to a smoking cartridge of a smoking article heated by gas and a smoking article using the smoking cartridge, in particular, the smoking cartridge belongs to a smoking cartridge which is heat-not-burn, and is a substitute for traditional tobacco.
BACKGROUNDTraditional smoking articles, such as cigarettes, are cigarettes that are basically round or stick shaped cigarettes rolled around tobacco filaments with cigarette paper. In general, the cigarette mouth piece (smoking end) also has a filter, such as filter made of cellulose acetate. When smokers lit cigarettes and make breath, tobacco burning and carbonization formation in cigarette smoke without a fire burning hot area, the gradually back to hot burning zone of high temperature air flow similar to its tobacco filaments effect distillation, and makes the volatile substances in tobacco filament that produce evaporation and visible aerosol formed under the inhaled air cooling, namely, white and light blue smoke. The nicotine in the smoke is absorbed into the blood through the respiratory tract and alveoli, stimulating nerve cells in the brain and producing the nicotine's characteristic pleasure. However, due to the decomposition and double decomposition reactions of various chemicals in tobacco during combustion, a large amount of tar and a variety of harmful substances can be produced, so enjoying the pleasure of low-harm nicotine and reducing tar and harmful substances has become a problem for tobacco manufacturers. In order to significantly improve the public health environment, reduce the harm of tobacco and the resulting legal conflicts, related technological improvements and scientific inventions are improving this situation. R. j. reynolds' patents describe low-tar cigarettes with segmented carbon fuel burning elements, such as U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,220,301, 9,149,072, and Phillip Morse's U.S. Pat. No. 9,185,939, which also discloses the technology.
There are many patents about heat-not-burn electronic cigarettes domestic and overseas. Aiming at the lighting method of cigarettes, China invention patent CN204682514U discloses a filter cigarette holder with a lighter. Through a fixed frame, the cigarette and the lighter are fixed together for the convenience of smokers. However, since the cigarette needs to be lit directly with the lighter, the harmful substances produced by burning the cigarette need to be done through a filter. China invention patent CN1328992C discloses a smoke simulator and its fuel element, which uses clean combustion fuels, such as ethanol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol or propanol.
In October 2016, the inventor also applied for the Chinese invention patent of “a gas-heated smoking article” which uses the premixed combustion of butane gas and air as energy, and the patent number is ZL201621111124.8. These patents are designed to provide smokers with low-tar cigarettes that have the advantages of traditional cigarettes, with as little incomplete combustion and pyrolysis as possible. Thus, heating not start combustion products in the world tobacco market temporarily outcrop, Philip Morse recently invented a lithium battery power supply heating by low temperature cigarettes, it makes cigarettes without burning only by the electric heating oven to produce smoke aerosol for smokers, greatly reduce the burning of double decomposition product. However, there are still some technical problems of many brands of e-cigarettes without ideal solutions, such as some inherent problems of lithium batteries, the amount of smoke is too small, the smoke attenuation is fast, the thermal inertia time is long. Makes many long-term smokers are difficult to accept.
Clearly, enjoying the pleasure of low-harm nicotine and reducing tar and harmful substances is a problem for tobacco manufacturers. In order to significantly improve the public health environment, reduce the harm of tobacco and the resulting legal conflicts, related technological improvements and scientific inventions are improving this situation. People have been looking for a cigarette substitute that can reduce the harmful substances produced by burning cigarettes and provide smokers with a good and convenient view of smoking.
SUMMARYIn order to solve the above problems, this invention aims to provide a replaceable smoking cartridge consumable for gas heating smoking articles. The smoking cartridge is heat-not-burn type, the vapor volume will not be attenuated, and the vapor volume can be generated in a sustainable way. It has a good sense of smoking and is highly similar to traditional cigarettes.
Another purpose of this invention is to provide a gas heating smoking article which uses the above-mentioned cigarette cartridge.
Based on the concept of this invention, preferably, the heat-not-burn smoking cartridge is applied to a smoking article heated by premixed gas and air combustion, that is, the heat generated by the combustion of propane or butane premixed gas is used to bake and heat the heat-not-burn smoking cartridge consumable, and produce a smoke very similar to the taste of traditional cigarettes. Achieve small thermal inertia, sustainable vapor volume.
To achieve the above purposes, this invention provides the following solutions:
This invention relates to a smoking cartridge of a gas-heated smoking article, including a heat-not-burn smoking body and a mouth piece. The smoking body is a column made of a heat-conducting metal foil covering tobacco and smoking liquid capsules. The smoking body is provided with an air inlet structure connected to the external air. During heating process of the smoking body, the smoke liquid capsules break or melt and releases the smoking liquid. The heat-conducting metal foil is preferably copper foil, aluminum foil or alloy foil, etc.
Furthermore, the cross section of the smoking body is circular or polygonal.
Furthermore, the inlet structure is the first air inlet path arranged in the rear segment of the smoking body. One end of the first air inlet path extends into the front segment of the smoking body, and the other end is connected to the first inlet vent on the side of mouth piece.
Furthermore, the first air inlet path is the first air inlet pipe, and one end of the first air inlet pipe is inserted into the smoking body, and the other end at least goes to the end of the smoking body, and is connected to the first air inlet vent on the side of the mouth piece.
Furthermore, the air inlet structure is a second air inlet path arranged in the front segment of the smoking body, and the external air flows in the front segment of the smoking body from the smoking body head.
Furthermore, the second air inlet channel is the second air inlet pipe, and the external surface of the head of smoking body is arranged with an air conduct cover. One end of the second air inlet pipe connected into the air conduct cover, and the external air enters into the second air inlet pipe through the air conduct cover.
Furthermore, the air conduct cover is made of porous heat-resistant material.
Furthermore, a number of heat transfer metal foils are mixed in the smoking body to form heat transfer from the outside to the inside of the smoking body. The heat transfer metal foils is preferably aluminum foil, copper foil, nickel foil, alloy foil and other metal foil.
Furthermore, the smoking liquid capsules are composed of a metal foil and the smoking liquid it is wrapped in. After being heated, the metal foil splits or melts to release the smoke liquid and increase the amount of vapor. The metal foil is preferably aluminum foil, tin foil, copper foil, nickel foil or alloy foil.
Furthermore, the tobacco, a number of heat transfer metal foils and a number of smoking liquid capsules are randomly mixed; the weight of the smoke liquid is between 0.1 mg and 100 mg.
As a replaceable consumable, the smoking cartridge mentioned above is particularly suitable for using in gas-heated smoking articles, including its housing, gas heating combustion device and smoking cartridge.
Furthermore, when the air inlet structure is a second air inlet path arranged in the front segment of the smoking body, the external surface of the smoking body is provided with an air conduct cover at the top, and one end of the second air inlet pipe goes into the air conduct cover. The housing down to the bottom of the combustion device is setting with diathermy hole inlet support, the inlet is equipped with at least one support rod on a support, the support rod with air path, its air imports corresponding to side walls of the second air inlet path on the housing, air outlet corresponding to air conduct cover stated, into the second air inlet pipe.
Further, the air inlet support is in the shape of wheel, and 1-4 support rods are arranged between the central column and the border. The air guide hood is accommodated in the central column.
Furthermore, the way the combustion device works is that the propane or butane gas and air are premixed and then burned. The heat generated by the combustion is used for baking and heating the smoking cartridge. The housing is provided with multiple emission exhaust vents.
Furthermore, the combustion device comprises an ignition device, a fuel tank, a gas control switch and a combustion chamber, which is provided with a combustion air inlet and a nozzle, and the gas after premixed with air, is ejected through the nozzle.
Furthermore, the combustion device and the smoking cartridge are arranged coaxially, and the smoking article as a whole is in the shape of a rod; or the housing of the combustion device protruding from the position of the smoking cartridge, and the shape of the smoking article is pistol type.
In the above technical solutions, this invention provides a low-temperature cigarette which is powered by the combustion of propane gas or butane gas to smokers who are difficult to quit smoking, and can produce a very similar smoke with the taste of ordinary cigarettes. As heat-not-burn is without burning smoke shot, can reduce the traditional cigarettes harmful because of tobacco burning and thermal cracking, without following traditional cigarette burning harmful material such as tar, carbon monoxide, ash, no dangers of secondhand smoke to others, also won't pollute the environment, which will greatly reduce the harm of traditional tobacco products.
Considering that propane and butane gas will produce exhaust gas in the combustion process, this technical solution designs a separate exhaust vent which is not connected to the mouth piece in the chamber of baking or heating consumable material, so as to protect the health of smokers.
The following schematic drawing can be better understood by referring to the embodiment, which is illustrative and does not impose any restrictions on the technical solution of this invention. In particular, the structure, proportion and size drawn in the attached drawings are only used to coordinate with the contents of the instruction manual for people familiar with the technology to understand and read, and are not used to limit the feasibility of the invention.

Housing 10 is about round or flat, made of heat-resistant resin, glass, metal and other materials. It is mainly used for holding combustion device 11 and smoking cartridge 12, and can be used for hand holding. In order to avoid excessive temperature on the outer surface of the housing 10, the inner wall of the housing 10 is provided with an heat insulating layer 13, which can be an insulating material with a certain thickness, such as microporous ceramics, silicon aerogels, etc., or an insulating coating coated on the inner wall. As an option, the housing 10 can also be an aluminum silicate or metal vacuum sleeve with a hollow interlayer for good insulation.
According to the volume of the heat-not-burn smoking cartridge, the corresponding baking chamber 14 was designed. In this embodiment, the housing 10 is equipped with a baking chamber 14 around the housing 12, and the premixed flame of the combustion device 11 is directly facing to the baking chamber 14 to achieve the baking smoking cartridge 12. There is no gas flow between baking chamber 14 and mouth piece 122.
The combustion mode and structure of the combustion device 11 may be of any suitable structure in the available technology. As a kind of optimization, combustion device 11 with propane gas or butane gas fire for the premixed combustion material type, namely the propane and butane gas and air to mix into a premixed gas after combustion, heat produced by combustion is used for baking smoking cartridge 12, when users smokes, the ignition and combustion of basic structure is the same as air premixed type cigarette lighter. The working of the premixed lighters is that the fuel gas and air mix first and then burn, the technicians in this field are aware that the premixed lighters are a mature technology in the existing technology. This invention does not make any limitation on the basic structure of premixed lighters, but only makes necessary improvements to the configuration of its external structure, premixed chamber, nozzle and other parts that need to be matched with smoking articles when it is used as a combustion device for baking smoking cartridge. The combustion mode and structure have been described in the China invention patent ZL201621111124.8 of the inventor.

As the ignition device 111 actives, an arc shoots into the combustion chamber 114, igniting the gas. Common ignition devices 111 have piezoelectric ceramic elements, magnetic induction, batteries and so on. Taking the ignition of piezoelectric ceramics as an example, under the action of mechanical stress, the piezoelectric ceramics cause the relative displacement of the positive and negative charge centers inside to polarize, resulting in the binding charges with opposite charges at the two surfaces of the material. Therefore, when the piezoelectric ceramic element is subjected to impact pressure, the mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy, and a transient high-voltage electric arc is released at the tip to ignite the fuel.

Smoking body 121 is made of thermal conductive metal foil 1210 covering tobacco 1211, finely broken heat transfer metal foils 1212 and smoking liquid capsules 1213. The smoking body 121 is provided with an air inlet structure connected to the external air, preferably the inlet pipe 1214 located at the rear segment and the central axis of smoking body 121. One end of the inlet pipe 1214 is located at the front segment of the smoking body, and the other end passes through the bottom end of smoking body 121. Further, preferably, the inlet pipe 1214 inhale cool air to condense aerosol during smoking and will melting property and a seal when overheated.
The thermal conductivity of metal foil 1210 optimized are copper foil, aluminum foil, or gold foil, can rise to outside-in heat transfer effect. In this embodiment, the thermal conductive metal foil 1210 is rolled into a circular section.
In order to achieve a good experience of smoking and to accelerate the heat-not-burn rate of the smoking cartridge, a number of fine heat transfer metal foils 1212 are mixed in the smoking body 121. These mixed heat transfer metal foils can appear as small fragments or small narrow strips and are mainly used to conduct heat from the outside to the inside of the smoking body during heating. The heat transfer metal foils are preferably aluminum foil, copper foil and gold foil.
Preferably, tobacco 1211 is tobacco filaments and/or tobacco flake filaments that are heated to provide mainstream vapor. The tobacco 1211, the fine heat transfer metal foils 1212 and several smoking liquid capsules 1213 are randomly mixed and placed in the space formed by thermal conductive metal foil 1210 and the inlet pipe 1214.
The smoking cartridge mouth piece 122 is placed on the central axis of the smoking body 121 and made of plastic material. The side of the mouth piece 122 is provided with an air inlet path 123, which is connected to the air inlet 1214 along the air inlet 124. The external air enters the air inlet 1214 from the air inlet vent 123. Preferably, the mouth piece is equipped with filter tip 125, which can be used to filter out the solid particles in the inhaled smoke. The filter elements can be made of common acetate cellulose, polyester mesh, polypropylene mesh, polylactic acid (PLA) fiber bundles and other materials.

The smoke liquid capsules used by this invention are 1213, 2213, 3213 and 4213, which are mature technologies, and is a kind of microcapsule product that covers the smoking liquid. The smoking liquid refers to a kind of smoking liquid that can form aerosol after evaporation cooling, and can be applied to any kind of smoking liquid product in tobacco products by using prior art, such as the smoking liquid used in e-cigarette. Can understand is, smoking liquid is generally divided into two categories, category contains nicotine, category does not contain nicotine, the main components including propylene glycol, glycerin, nicotine and tobacco extract, spices, such as ethanol, the cigarette flavor, such as sweeteners, aloes, mint, liquorice, essence, etc., to change the taste of cigarettes or flavor; As a preferred option, nicotine and/or tobacco extracts can also be added as appropriate to the product.
Preferably, the smoking liquid is wrapped and capsuled by metal foil, which could be aluminum foil, tin foil, copper foil, nickel foil or alloy foil. The smoking liquid weight is between 0.1 mg and 100 mg. Smoking liquid capsules 1213, 2213, 3213, and 4213 can increase the amount of vapor after thermal rupture. The smoking liquid package 1213, 2213, 3213 and 4213 are sealed with aluminum foil is exploded at high temperature due to the vaporization pressure to release the vapor. The smoking liquid capsules of 1213, 2213, 3213 and 4213 sealed with tin foil releases smoke due to the melting of the tin foil at high temperature. From this, in the heating process of the smoking body, the smoking liquid capsules 1213, 2213, 3213 and 4213 release the vapor due to the cracking or melting of the metal foil.
The patent applications submitted by the inventor before this date include China invention patent ZL2016204193031/Publication No. CN205695718U and international patent application No. PCT/CN2016/096011, which record the structure of microburst microcapsule and the composition of aerosol generator (smoke liquid) in the capsule, which are quoted here in full text. The smoke liquid capsule 1213 of the invention can use any of the suitable microburst microcapsules described in the above patent application.

When in use, the heat-not-burn smoking cartridge 12 is first inserted into the housing 10, then the ignition device 111 is pressed, and the butane stored in the fuel tank 112 is premixed and burned in the combustion chamber 114. The range of the combustion zone is defined inside the fire insulation mesh 117. Smoking cartridge 12 is heated at a high temperature in the baking chamber 14, among which tobacco 1211, fine heat transfer metal foils 1212 and smoke liquid capsules 1213 are the first to release smoke. When smoking, the external air enters through the air inlet vent 123, inlet path 124 and the air inlet pipe 1214, and is sucked out through the filter tip 125. With the increase of smoking frequency, the temperature in the smoking cartridge consumables increased centripetal and the tobacco 1211, the fine heat transfer metal foils and the smoking liquid capsules 1213 were heated and atomized to produce vapor. When most tobacco 1211, fine heat transfer metal foils 1212 and smoking liquid capsules 1213 were consumed, the inlet pipe 1214 melted and closed due to high temperature, and smoking process stopped. The combustion exhaust gas produced in the process of smoking is emitted from the exhaust vent 101. Since there is no gas flowing between baking chamber 14 and filter tip 125, smokers do not inhale exhaust gas. After smoke, remove the toasted cartridge 12 and discard.

Smoking articles include a housing 50, a combustion device 51 installed in the housing and a heat-not-burn cartridge 52. The side wall of the shell 50 is provided with a plurality of exhaust vents 501, which are used to emit the exhaust gas generated after combustion. Smoking cartridge 52 is composed of smoking body 521 and mouth piece 522, smoking cartridge mouth piece 522 is placed on the axis of smoking body 521, made of plastic material, preferably, the mouth piece is equipped with filter 525, which can be used to filter out the solid particles from the inhaled vapor.
The smoking cartridge 52 is provided with an air inlet path, the external air inlet 502 is arranged on the side wall of the housing 50. The external air enters through the front end of the smoking body 521.
The housing 50 is about round or flat, and the inner wall of the housing 50 is provided with a heat insulating layer 53.
The housing 50 is equipped with a baking chamber 54 around the cartridge 52, and the premixed flame of the combustion device 51 is directly facing the baking chamber 54 to achieve the baking of the cartridge 52. There is no gas flow between the baking chamber 54 and filter tip 525.
Combustion device 51 is basically the same structure as described in embodiment 1; including ignition device 511 and fuel tank 512, inflatable gas control switch 513, combustion chamber 514, combustion air inlet 515 and nozzle 516, and fire insulation mesh 517 around combustion chamber 514.

The invention is not limited to the implementation method discussed above. The above description of the specific implementation method aims to explain and explain the technical scheme involved in the invention. The specific implementation method mentioned above is used to reveal the optimal implementation method of the invention, so that ordinary technicians in the field can apply multiple implementation methods of the invention and various alternative methods to achieve the purpose of the invention. The obvious transformation or substitution based on the revelation of the invention shall also be considered to fall into the protection scope of the invention.
Claims
1. A cartridge for a gas heating smoking article, comprising a heat-not-burn cartridge body and a mouth piece, wherein the heat-not-burn cartridge body is made of a thermal conductive metal foil sealed with a tobacco and smoking liquid capsules in a rod shape, and the heat-not-burn cartridge body is designed with an air inlet structure connected to an outside of the cartridge; during a heating process, the smoking liquid capsules break or melt to release a smoking liquid.
2. The cartridge according to claim 1, wherein a section view of the heat-not-burn cartridge body is circular or polygonal.

The cartridge according to claim 2, wherein an end of the heat-not-burn cartridge body is designed with a first air inlet path, a first end of the first air inlet path is inserted into a front of the heat-not-burn cartridge body, and a second end of the first air inlet path is connected to a first air inlet hole, wherein the first air inlet hole is placed at a side of the mouth piece.

The cartridge according to claim 3, wherein the first air inlet path is a first air inlet tube, a first end of the first air inlet tube is inserted into the end of the heat-not-burn cartridge body, and a second end of the first air inlet tube is connected to the first air inlet hole, wherein the first air inlet hole is placed at the side of the mouth piece.
5. The cartridge according to claim 2, wherein a second air inlet path is placed in a front of the heat-not-burn cartridge body, an outside air flows into the cartridge through a head of the heat-not-burn cartridge body.

The cartridge according to claim 5, wherein the second air inlet path is a second air inlet tube, the head of the heat-not-burn cartridge body is designed with an air conduct cover, one end of the second air inlet tube is connected to the air conduct cover, the outside air flows into the second air inlet tube through the air conduct cover.
7. The cartridge according to claim 6, wherein the air conduct cover is made of a porous heat resistant material.
8. The cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the heat-not-burn cartridge body comprises a plurality of fine heat transfer metal foils to transfer a heat from an outside of the heat-not-burn cartridge body to an inside of the heat-not-burn cartridge body.

The cartridge according to claim 8, wherein the smoking liquid capsules comprise the thermal conductive metal foil and the smoking liquid warped in the smoking liquid capsules, after heating, the thermal conductive metal foil break or melt to release the smoking liquid, to increase a vapor volume.
11. The cartridge according to claim 10, wherein the tobacco, the plurality of fine heat transfer metal foils and the smoking liquid capsules are randomly mixed; and a weight of the smoking liquid varies between 0.1 mg to 100 mg.
12. A gas heating smoking article, comprising a housing, a gas combustion device and the cartridge according to claim 1, wherein the cartridge is disposable.
13. A gas heating smoking article, comprising a housing, a gas combustion device and the cartridge according to claim 5, wherein the cartridge is disposable.

A gas heating smoking article, comprising a housing, a gas combustion device and the cartridge according to claim 6, wherein the cartridge is disposable; wherein the air inlet structure is the second air inlet path, wherein the second air inlet path is in the front of the heat-not-burn cartridge body, an outside of the heat-not-burn cartridge body is designed with the air conduct cover at a top, the one end of the second air inlet tube is connected to the air conduct cover; the housing is designed with an air inlet thermal hole support underneath the combustion device, the air inlet thermal hole support is designed with at least one support rod, wherein the at least one support rod has an air flow path, an inlet hole of the at least one support rod is connected to the second air inlet tube on a side wall of the housing, an air outlet of the at least one support rod is connected to the air conduct cover, flows in the second air inlet tube.
15. The gas heating smoking article according to claim 14, wherein the air inlet thermal hole support is in a shape of a roulette wheel, and 1-4 supporting rods are arranged between a central column and a border, and the air conduct cover is accommodated in the central column.

The gas heating smoking article according to claim 15, wherein a combustion process of the combustion device comprises pre-mixing a propane or butane gas with air before a combustion, wherein a heat generated from the combustion is for baking and heating the cartridge, and the housing is designed with a plurality of exhaust gas vents.

The gas heating smoking article according to claim 16, wherein the combustion device comprises a fuel chamber, a light system, a gas refill port, a control switch and a combustion chamber, wherein the combustion chamber is designed with an air inlet hole and a nozzle, and a premixed gas flame flows through the nozzle.

The gas heating smoking article according to claim 17, wherein the combustion device and aerosol generation consumable items are placed coaxial, the gas heating smoking article is in the rod shape; or the combustion device is outside the housing of the gas heating smoking article, and the gas heating smoking article is in a pistol shape.
19. The gas heating smoking article according to claim 14, wherein the heat-not-burn cartridge body comprises a plurality of fine heat transfer metal foils, to transfer a heat from an outside of the heat-not-burn cartridge body to an inside of the heat-not-burn cartridge body.

The gas heating smoking article according to claim 19, wherein the smoking liquid capsules comprise the thermal conductive metal foil and the smoking liquid warped in the smoking liquid capsules, after heating, the thermal conductive metal foil break or melt to release the smoking liquid, to increase a vapor volume.
22. The gas heating smoking article according to claim 21, wherein the tobacco, the plurality of heat transfer metal foils and the smoking liquid capsules are randomly mixed; and a weight of the smoking liquid varies between 0.1 mg to 100 mg.
