Biney Baby
The present invention provides a clothing apparatus that comprises a clothing member that includes a pair of leg portions, a body portion having multiple buttons and a vertical cut in the center of the body portion, a pair of opposing arm sleeves, and a pair of foot coverings. A vest that includes a crossover neck opening and armholes is attached inside the body portion and the neck binding.
The present invention generally relates to baby clothing. More specifically, the present invention relates to baby clothing whose special design allows the user to conveniently put it on or take it off.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONBaby clothing that can be put on and taken off conveniently is in demand. Clothing for children aged 0 to about 3 years of age can include a particular undergarment known as a baby grow, which is worn from birth and is used as long as the child wears diapers.
Typical baby grows can include special features in the neck to allow insertion of the child's head. To put on the baby grow, the parents can insert first the head and then the arms. Next, the baby grow can be closed by buttons, which can be often placed between the legs of the child, above the diaper. The baby grows can include multiple openings for convenience, such as an opening at the shoulder with closing buttons or an opening at the shoulder with overlapping fabric.
Companies have developed a variety of clothing apparatuses; some provide a wearable blanket in the form of a cover that can be used in conjunction with a swaddle accessory. However, many are expensive and feature uncomfortable designs whose seams and buttons are not located in places convenient for parents who need to change diapers or to open clothing or to provide additional clothing, such as vests, to adjust the temperature of the child's body.
In general, these clothing apparatuses fail to incorporate the benefits of clothing by providing a convenient and wearable garment. Thus, there is a need to provide clothing that solves the problems.
The present invention is intended to address problems associated with and/or otherwise improve on conventional devices through an innovative baby clothing apparatus that is designed to be convenient and effective without compromising the appeal of its design, while incorporating other problem-solving features.
SUMMARYIn accordance with the present invention, a clothing apparatus is provided. The clothing apparatus comprises a clothing member that includes a pair of leg portions, a body portion having multiple buttons and a vertical cut in the center of the body portion, a pair of opposing arm sleeves, and a pair of foot coverings. A vest that includes a crossover neck opening and armholes is attached inside the body portion and the neck binding.
In some embodiments, the vest may include a crossover neck opening and armholes with overlock stitching. The crossover neck opening and armholes may be defined in the vest. The present invention can be of any size and material suitable for normal children aged 0 to 3.
All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
As shown in
The clothing member 10 can be of any size and material suitable for baby clothing, such as cotton. Such sizes can be for normal children aged 0 to 3.
The clothing member 10 may be a garment that comprises at least one neck aperture 20, at least two arm apertures 30, a pair of opposing arm sleeves 40, a body portion 11, a pair of leg portions 60, and a pair of foot coverings 50.
The pair of opposing arm sleeves 40, the body portion 11, the pair of leg portions 60, and the foot coverings 50 can be attached to form a single-piece clothing apparatus 100 of the present invention.
In some embodiments, the clothing member 10 may include a means of garment access that in one preferred embodiment features multiple buttons 70 allowing the user easy access to the baby inside the clothing member 10 to perform operations such as diaper changes.
In one embodiment, the clothing member 10 may include a neck binding 25 around the neck aperture 20. The neck binding 25 can be attached to a periphery of the neck aperture 20.
At least one neck aperture 20 can be defined in the body portion and at least two arm apertures can be defined in the body portion 11.
On some embodiments, any known kind of clothing labels can be attached to the center back area of the body portion; in other embodiments, the clothing member 10 can include a vest 80 that is designed to be put inside the clothing member 10 and joined at the back neck area inside the clothing member 10 by the neck binding 25. The vest 80 may include a crossover neck opening 90 and armholes 95 with overlock stitching, as shown in
In some embodiments, the clothing member 10 may include a means of garment access at the front center of the body portion 11 and the edge of the inner thigh area of the leg portions 60. In such embodiments, the means of garment access may include a vertical cut 75 in the center of the body portion 11 that may continue along the edge of the inner thigh area 65 of the leg portions (crotch placket 65). The means of garment access may also include snaps or poppers (known in the art) evenly spaced along the cut areas to allow closing and opening of the cut areas.
In some embodiments the means of garment access can include any other fasteners known in the art, such as magnet buttons or a hook-and-loop fastener.
In some embodiments, the clothing member 10 can include 6 poppers between the neck and the crotch placket 65 and 6 poppers on the crotch placket 65, as shown in
In some other embodiments, the clothing member 10 can include 2 poppers between the neck and the crotch placket 65 and 6 poppers on the crotch placket 65. In such embodiments, the vertical cut 75 in the center of the body portion might not be connected continuously to the crotch placket 65, creating a closed front area in above the crotch placket 65.
In some embodiments, the clothing member 10 may include a care label inserted into the seam, which may be placed along the sides of the leg portions 60.
In some embodiments, the clothing member 10 may include one or more side seams inserted into the overlock seams, positioned in suitable places on the clothing member 10.
In some other embodiments, the clothing member 10 may include a chain loop (about 2 cm) attached at the waist point between the vest 80 and the body portion 11 of the clothing member 10 to connect the vest 80 with a closer fit to the body of the baby and a looser fit to the garment (clothing member 10).
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
