Description
Background

The present disclosure relates generally to a portable noise reduction shed that are formed by two or four L-Shape foldable panels, with full walls on three side and a full or partial open on the fourth side, to house generators or other high noise equipment inside to reduce the noise level of equipment to the outside environment.

Current ways of reducing the generator or other noisy equipment noise level are either building a noise reduction enclosures as part of the generator or the equipment itself, or building a separate enclosure with full walls, ceiling and floor to fully enclose the generators or other noisy equipment inside . Since these enclosures are fully enclosed with full walls on all sides, so they have to include electric fans and ventilating louvers on the wall to let the fresh air in, exhausted air and heat out during operation. Main problem with these full enclosures is once the fans stop working while equipment inside is still running, the enclosure will be overheating and causes safety issues.

Thus, there exists a need for a more innovative product that can reduce the noise level but at the same time doesn't require the fans and electric power when housing the generators and other noisy equipment in it for noise reduction.

Examples of references relevant to existing enclosure for noise reduction include U.S. Patent References: U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,641,043 and 4,871,922. The complete disclosures of the above patents and patent applications are herein incorporated by reference for all purposes.

SUMMARY

The present disclosure is directed to a portable noise reduction shed formed by multiple L-Shape foldable panels to house generators, or other noisy equipment in it to reduce the environmental noise level during operation. This portable noise reduction shed includes two or four L-Shape foldable panels to form into different size of inside space to house different size the generators or other noisy equipment. The portable noise reduction shed formed by the L-Shape panels has full wall on three sides and a full or partial open wall on the fourth side.

When all L-Shape foldable L panels are unfolded and coupled to each other, the portable noise reduction shed is formed and ready to house the generator or other noisy equipment inside . When all L-Shaped foldable panels are disconnected and folded, the portable noise reduction shed is in storage condition. Each L-Shape foldable panel consists of two basic panels that are coupled by folding brackets. Each basic panel is constructed with multi layers of sound absorbing, sound insulation, sound damping materials and a cover to become a complete sound transmission barrier.

Compared to current fully closed enclosures that house the generators or other noisy equipment to reduce the noise, the portable noise reduction shed in discussion reduces the noise level greatly on three sides that have the full wall and the top that has the full ceiling, it does not require the electric fans, ventilating louvers and electric power since the exhausted air and heat get out of the shed from the fully or partially open front wall, thus greatly reduces the risk of the overheating during equipment operation inside the shed.

Referring to FIG. 1, an overall view of a portable noise reduction shed formed by two L-Shape foldable panels is illustrated. As shown in this illustration, the first L-Shape foldable panel 100 forms a left wall and a top ceiling, the second L-Shape panel 200 forms a right wall and back wall. While these full walls on the left, right and back, as well as the ceiling on the top, consist of multi layers of sound absorption, sound insulation and sound damping materials in them to act as sound barrier so the noise level outside these full walls and ceiling are greatly reduced, the portable noise reduction shed has its front wall open, allowing the exhaust air and heat inside to go out when generator or other noisy equipment are placed inside for noise reduction during operation.

Referring to FIG. 2, an overall view of the L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 in unfolded position is illustrated. As shown in this illustration, each L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 includes two basic panel 101, two folding bracket 103, several latches 102 and folding handle 104. The two basic panel 101 in the L-Shape portable panel 100 act as the left wall and top ceiling of the portable noise reduction shed, the two basic panel 101 in the L-Shape portable panel 200 acts as the right and back wall of the portable noise reduction shed. The portable noise reduction shed is constructed when putting the L-Shape foldable panel 100 on top of L-Shape foldable panel 200 and locked to each other by the latch 102. The two folding brackets 103 that coupled the two standard basic panel 101 together in both L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 are in unfolded position and lock the two basic panel 101 into a perpendicular position.

Referring to FIG. 3, an overall view of the L-Shape foldable panels 100 and 200 in folded position is illustrated. The L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 can be folded to flat shape for storage when the portable noise reduction shed is dismantled and the L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 are separated. The two basic panel 101 are parallel to each other when the L-Shape foldable panel 100 and 200 are in the folded storage position.

Referring to FIG. 4, the shape of two basic panel 101 and basic panel 110 (basic panel 110 will be referred later) is illustrated. Both basic panels 101 and 110 have the same shape and structure but different size and both have the mounting holes around the edge and center. These mounting holes are for bolts to go through to connect the basic panel 101 and 110 to the latch 102, folding bracket 103 and handle 104 accordingly. When two basic panel 101 are coupled together by the folding bracket 103, they form into the L-shape foldable panel 100 and 200. When one of each basic panel 101 and 110 are coupled together by the folding bracket 103, they form into a L-Shape foldable panel 300 (L-Shape foldable panel 300 will be referred later).

Referring to FIG. 5, the structure of the basic panel 101 and 110 is illustrated. Each basic panel 101 and 110 consists of four layers face to face to each other. The first layer is a cover 105 which acts as the supporting structure for other layers to be attached to. The second layer 106 is made from sound damping material. The third layer 107 is made from sound insulation material and the fourth layer 108 is made from sound absorption material. These four layers are both glued and bolted together as a sound barrier to either block or absorb the sound coming from the generators or other high noisy equipment inside the portable noise reduction shed and thus the noise outside the back, left, right and top of the noise reduction shed are greatly reduced. At the same time, the heat and exhausted gas generated from the generators or other high noisy equipment inside the noise reduction shed are circulated out of the portable noise reduction shed through its front open wall.

While the noise reduction shed can be formed by two L-Shape foldable panels as described above, it can also be constructed by four L-Shape portable panels with doubled inside space as illustrated below.

Referring to FIG. 6, a portable noise reduction shed formed by four L-Shape foldable panels is illustrated. These four L-Shape foldable panels include two L-Shape foldable panel 100 and two L-Shape foldable panel 300.

Referring to FIG. 7, the layout of the four L-Shape foldable panels to form the portable noise reduction shed is illustrated. As shown in FIG. 7, the two L-Shape foldable panel 100 are paired side by side to each other by latch 102 and act as the back wall and top ceiling of the portable noise reduction shed. The L-Shape foldable panel 300 has the same composition as L-Shape foldable panel 100 except it consists of one basic panel 101 and one basic panel 110, instead of two basic panel 101. The two L-Shape foldable panel 300 are paired together tail by tail by the latch 102 to construct into a C shape panel and this C shape panel acts as the full left wall, full right wall and partial front wall of the the portable noise reduction shed. The noise reduction shed is formed when laying the paired L-Shape panel 100 on top of the paired L-Shape panel 300. As shown in FIG. 6, the noise reduction shed constructed by two L-Shape foldable panels 100 and two L-Shape foldable panels 300 has full wall on left, right and back, but only has the partial wall on the front top, with most portion of the front wall open .

The noise reduction sheds constructed by either two or four L-Shape foldable panel can be portable, or they can be also stationary when their walls are anchored to the ground foundation as described below.

Referring to FIG. 7, several L-Shape anchor bracket 109 are used to anchor the portable noise reduction shed to the ground. This is achieved by first attaching the vertical surface of the L-Shape anchor bracket 109 to the left, right or back wall of the portable noise reduction shed, then anchoring the horizontal surface of the L-Shape anchor bracket 109 to the ground.
