Moldable Mitt Assembly
A moldable mitt assembly for facilitating a user with a deformed hand to wear a glove that conforms to their deformed hand includes a mitt that is wearable on a user's hand. The mitt is comprised of a moldable material thereby facilitating the mitt to be shaped into a glove when the mitt is worn on the user's hand. In this way the glove can be molded to the shape of the user's hand thereby facilitating the glove to accommodate the unique structure of the user's hand.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the InventionThe disclosure relates to mitt devices and more particularly pertains to a new mitt device for facilitating a user with a deformed hand to wear a glove on their deformed hand. The device includes a mitt that is comprised of a moldable material that can be shaped into a glove that conforms to the unique structure of the user's hand.
(2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98The prior art relates to mitt devices including a variety of gloves that are wearable on a user's hand. In each instance the gloves have unique structural and material qualities for enhancing the fit of the gloves. In no instance does the prior art disclose a moldable mitt that can be shaped into a glove that conforms the deformities of a user's hand.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a mitt that is wearable on a user's hand. The mitt is comprised of a moldable material thereby facilitating the mitt to be shaped into a glove when the mitt is worn on the user's hand. In this way the glove can be molded to the shape of the user's hand thereby facilitating the glove to accommodate the unique structure of the user's hand.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

The mitt 12 has a first end 18, a second end 20 and an outer wall 21 extending therebetween, and the first end 18 is open to receive the user's hand 14. The outer wall 21 curves outwardly between the first end 18 and the second end 20 such that the mitt 12 defines a bulbous shape. A band 22 is provided and the band 22 is coupled to the mitt 12. The band 22 extends around the first end 18 of the mitt 12 and the band 22 is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material. In this way the band 22 can enclose the first end 18 around the user's wrist 24 when the mitt 12 is worn on the user's hand 14.
In use, the user inserts their hand 14 into the first end 18 of the mitt 12 and the user molds the mitt 12 into the glove 16 that conforms to the unique structure of their hand 14. In this way a user that has congenital deformities of their hand 14 or deformities resulting from injury can wear a glove 16 on their hand 14 that would otherwise not be possible with conventional gloves, such as rubber gloves or other types of gloves that would be worn for protection against bacterial transmission. Thus, the user can protect their hand 14 from coming into contact with infectious diseases or chemical contaminants that the user might otherwise be exposed to.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. Claims
1. A moldable mitt assembly which can be molded around a person's hand for a custom fit, said assembly comprising:
- a mitt being wearable on a user's hand, said mitt being comprised of a moldable material thereby facilitating said mitt to be shaped into a glove when said mitt is worn on the user's hand wherein said glove is configured to be molded to the shape of the user's hand thereby facilitating said glove to accommodate the unique structure of the user's hand.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said mitt is comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said mitt is configured to inhibit bacteria from contacting the user's hand when the user wears said mitt.
3. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said mitt has a first end, a second end and an outer wall extending therebetween, said first end being open wherein said first end is configured to receive the user's hand, said outer wall curving outwardly between said first end and said second end such that said mitt defines a bulbous shape.
4. The assembly according to claim 3, further comprising a band being coupled to said mitt, said band extending around said first end of said mitt, said band being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material wherein said band is configured to enclose said first end around the user's wrist when said mitt is worn on the user's hand.
5. A moldable mitt assembly which can be molded around a person's hand for a custom fit, said assembly comprising:
- a mitt being wearable on a user's hand, said mitt being comprised of a moldable material thereby facilitating said mitt to be shaped into a glove when said mitt is worn on the user's hand wherein said glove is configured to be molded to the shape of the user's hand thereby facilitating said glove to accommodate the unique structure of the user's hand, said mitt being comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said mitt is configured to inhibit bacteria from contacting the user's hand when the user wears said mitt, said mitt having a first end, a second end and an outer wall extending therebetween, said first end being open wherein said first end is configured to receive the user's hand, said outer wall curving outwardly between said first end and said second end such that said mitt defines a bulbous shape; and
- a band being coupled to said mitt, said band extending around said first end of said mitt, said band being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material wherein said band is configured to enclose said first end around the user's wrist when said mitt is worn on the user's hand.
6. A method of molding a glove to conform to the unique structure of a user's hand, the steps of the method comprising:
- providing a mitt being comprised of a moldable material, said mitt having an open end being open into an interior of said mitt;
- inserting a user's hand into said open end of said mitt; and
- molding said mitt to conform to the unique structure of the user's hand such that said mitt forms a glove on the user's hand.
