Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates generally to the field of garments of existing art and more specifically relates to suspenders.

RELATED ART

Construction workers do not have a safe place to store their phone on them, that will allow easy access, or a way to keep the phone charged when they are actively working. Often, throughout the course of a day the battery of the phone, tablet or other e-device will die and need to be charged. However, a construction worker, such as a roofer, usually doesn't have access to power right at their immediate location. This causes them to have to pause their work, which is detrimental to productivity, and go look for a power source. However, most likely the power source is out of sight which puts their phone at risk of theft and/or damage when they go back to work. A suitable solution is desired.

Generally, the construction suspender system includes a length-adjustable suspender garment having a flexible solar panel for powering and battery charging of personal electronics such as smartphones, which can be stored by and accessed from the suspender garment. The suspender garment includes an integrated weather-resistant solar panel, in-ear headphones, functional pouches for the headphones, a functional phone-holding pouch, an electronic-device charging cable and Bluetooth® (or similar) technology. The solar panel and charging cable provide continuous renewable energy for charging the electronic device being used with the suspender garment. The solar panel is flexible and weather resistant. As construction workers typically work outside the solar panel will regularly be exposed to sun light. The construction suspender system may feature various devices for attachment to a tool belt or pants, such as but not limited to various clips, buttons, and clamps.

The construction suspender system can be made with or without Bluetooth® capabilities. The in-ear headphones of the construction suspender system can be on retractable cords or loose cords. In variations with loose cords, the construction suspender system may or may not feature storage pouches for said loose cords on its front straps. The construction suspender system may also be made in variations that include no in-ear headphones.

The construction suspender system can be made to accommodate various sized electronic devices, to include but not limited to smartphones and tablets. In variations that accommodate tablets the construction suspender system may include a water-resistant pouch for storage of the tablet and may feature a clear front panel. The construction suspender system may be made in multiple sizes, and can be made of various applicable materials. The construction suspender system can be made in X-back, Y-back, and H-back styles of construction suspenders. The construction suspender system may also be made in variations that include a closed back of various sizes, and to accommodate multiple solar panels on this closed back. In such latter variation, the closed back may be made of various applicable materials.

The construction suspender system may be worn by a user, who may then insert his or her smartphone into the phone holding pouch. Should the user wish to use a music program of the smartphone, he or she can apply the in-ear headphones, and the Bluetooth® function of the device will allow wireless transmission of the music from the smartphone to the headphones. These in-ear headphones can also be used for telephone calls from the smartphone. Despite its regular battery drain from this use, as well as use in sending and viewing messages and documents, the smartphone can be recharged by connection of the charging cable that runs from the solar panel power source and into the phone holding pouch.
