APPARATUSES AND DEVICES FOR FACILITATING APPLICATION OF A SUBSTANCE
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for facilitating application of a substance, in accordance with some embodiments. Accordingly, the apparatus includes a container and an applicator. Further, the container includes an upper portion and a lower portion. Further, the lower portion includes an interior space and the upper portion includes an opening leading into the interior space. Further, the container is configured to contain the substance in the interior space. Further, the applicator is removably disposable in the interior space. Further, a traversal cross-sectional profile of the applicator is non-circular. Further, the applicator is configured for extracting the substance from the interior space. Further, the upper portion is configured for wiping an outer surface of the applicator. Further, the upper portion includes a wall for forming the opening. Further, the wall is configured for interacting with the outer surface. Further, the wiping of the outer surface is based on the interacting.
Generally, the present disclosure relates to the field of bottles and jars. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to apparatuses and devices for facilitating application of a substance.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONCosmetic packages typically containing a liquid type substance called “lip gloss, eyeliner, mascara, concealer, foundations, etc. . . . ” reside in vials and have an applicator connected to a round rod that the user rotates to open and close then pulls out to extract the product. Further, the cosmetic packages always use a round rod so that it can rotate freely within a round orifice of the vials. The orifice acts a seal for the package and acts to wipe or clean the rod each time the user opens and removes the applicator. The applicator tip is also typically round in shape or shaped in a way to fit through a small round opening in the orifice.
Existing apparatuses for facilitating application of a substance are deficient with regard to several aspects. For instance, current apparatuses do not provide non-circular applicators for facilitating the application of the substance. Furthermore, current apparatuses do not wipe the substance from the surfaces of the non-circular applicators.
Therefore, there is a need for improved to apparatuses and devices for facilitating application of a substance that may overcome one or more of the above-mentioned problems and/or limitations.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for facilitating application of a substance, in accordance with some embodiments. Accordingly, the apparatus may include a container and an applicator. Further, the container may include an upper portion and a lower portion. Further, the lower portion may include an interior space and the upper portion may include an opening leading into the interior space. Further, the container may be configured to contain the substance in the interior space. Further, the applicator may be removably disposable in the interior space. Further, the applicator may include a rod extending between a proximal end of the applicator and a distal end of the applicator. Further, a traversal cross-sectional profile of the applicator may be non-circular. Further, the applicator may be configured for extracting the substance from the interior space. Further, the applicator may be configured for entering the interior space through the opening. Further, the applicator may be configured for immersing in the substance based on the entering. Further, an amount of the substance adheres to at least one outer surface of the applicator based on the immersing. Further, the applicator may be configured for exiting the interior space through the opening. Further, the upper portion may be configured for wiping the at least one outer surface of the applicator based on at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator from the interior space through the opening. Further, the upper portion may include at least one wall for forming the opening. Further, the at least one wall may be configured for interacting with the at least one outer surface. Further, the wiping of the at least one outer surface may be based on the interacting. Further, the wiping removes a portion of the amount of the substance adhered to the at least one outer surface. Further, the wiping facilitates the application of the substance using the applicator.

The present disclosure includes many aspects and features. Moreover, while many aspects and features relate to, and are described in the context of apparatuses and devices for facilitating application of a substance, embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited to use only in this context.
Overview:
The present disclosure describes apparatuses and devices for facilitating application of a substance. Further, the apparatuses may be a cosmetic package. Further, the cosmetic package may include vials and a non-round shaped applicator and applicator tip. Further, the cosmetic package may allow the usage of the non-round shaped applicator and applicator tip for the application of the substance extracted from the vials using the non-round shaped applicator and applicator tip. Further, the non-round shaped applicator and the applicator tip may be particularly square-shaped and or rectangle-shaped. This allows the consumer to have an entirely different experience when using the cosmetic package. Further, the cosmetic package may include a cap, an inner cap, a bottle, a wiper, a tip, and a rod. Further, the inner cap and the rod is configured to rotate separately. This allows the use of a square or rectangular shaped rod. Further, an internal shape of the orifice must match the shape of the rod since the square or rectangular shaped rod cannot rotate and clean through a round opening.
Further, the present disclosure also describes the usage of a square or rectangular shaped applicator that would fit in the cosmetic package.
Further, the present disclosure describes functional information of the cosmetic package. Further, a separation force cap to rod may be greater than 8 Lbs (3.63 kg). Further, a separation force Ball tip to rod may be greater than 4.4 Lbs (2.0 kg). Further, a separation force wiper to bottle may be 8 Lbs (3.63 kg). Further, a separation force wiper to inner cap may be 0.44˜3.3 Lbs (0.2˜1.5 kg). Further, a twisting force for closing the cap may be 10˜48.6 ozf·in (0.72˜3.5 kgf·cm). Further, a twisting force for opening the cap may be 5˜48.6 ozf·in (0.36˜3.5 kgf·cm). Further, a gap cap to bottle may be 0.05˜0.3 mm.
Further, a plurality of tests may be performed on the cosmetic package such as a drop test, a leakage test, a capacity test, and a deco and coating test. Further, the deco and coating test may include a cross-hatch tape test and a manual rub test. Further, in the drop test parts are filled with 6 ml water and dropped 3 times (on top, bottom, and on a side) on a concrete floor from 70 cm height; samples to be conditioned at RT & 0 deg C. for 24 hours; drop immediately after conditioning. Further, the leakage test may include applying 0.09 MPa for 10 minutes. Further, the capacity test may include filling 6.5 ml water and checking pop out of wiper while closing and opening. Further, the cross-hatch tape test may include cross-cut 10×10 1 mm squares and applying 3M-810 tape firmly. Further, the manual rub test may include rubbing component to component.
Further, the container 102 may include an upper portion 106 and a lower portion 108. Further, the lower portion 108 may include an interior space 118 and the upper portion 106 may include an opening leading into the interior space 118. Further, the container 102 may be configured to contain the substance in the interior space 118. Further, the interior space 118 may be associated with a volume. Further, the volume may be 6.5 milliliters. Further, the lower portion 108 may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may at least one thermoplastic material. Further, the at least one thermoplastic material may include polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG). Further, the upper portion 106 may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may include Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), Hytrel 5526. Further, the lower portion 108 may be associated with a weight of 25.7 grams. Further, the upper portion 106 may be associated with a weight of 0.7 grams.
Further, the applicator 104 may be removably disposable in the interior space 118. Further, the applicator 104 may include a rod 114 extending between a proximal end 110 of the applicator 104 and a distal end 112 of the applicator 104. Further, the rod 114 may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may include polyoxymethylene (POM). Further, the rod 114 may be associated with a weight of 2.7 grams. Further, a traversal cross-sectional profile of the applicator 104 may be non-circular. Further, the traversal cross-sectional profile may include a square, a rectangle, a trapezoid, a parallelogram, a rhombus, a triangle, etc. Further, the applicator 104 may be configured for extracting the substance from the interior space 118. Further, the applicator 104 may be configured for entering the interior space 118 through the opening. Further, the applicator 104 may be configured for immersing in the substance based on the entering. Further, an amount of the substance adheres to at least one outer surface of the applicator 104 based on the immersing. Further, the applicator 104 may be configured for exiting the interior space 118 through the opening. Further, the upper portion 106 may be configured for wiping the at least one outer surface of the applicator 104 based on at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator 104 from the interior space 118 through the opening. Further, the wiping of the at least one outer surface may include scraping the substance of the at least one outer surface, rubbing the substance on the at least one outer surface, spreading the substance on the at least one outer surface, removing the substance from the at least one outer surface, etc. Further, the upper portion 106 may include at least one wall for forming the opening. Further, the at least one wall may be configured for interacting with the at least one outer surface. Further, the interaction may include rubbing, scraping, scratching, etc. Further, the wiping of the at least one outer surface may be based on the interacting. Further, the wiping removes a portion of the amount of the substance adhered to the at least one outer surface. Further, the wiping facilitates the application of the substance using the applicator 104. Further, the application may facilitate a make-up process, a grooming process, a therapeutic process, etc. Further, the wiping may facilitate an even application of the substance on at least one surface. Further, the at least one surface may include a surface of at least one body part of an individual.
Further, in some embodiments, the opening may be defined by an opening profile. Further, the opening profile substantially corresponds to the transverse cross-sectional profile of the applicator 104. Further, the opening profile may include a square, a rectangle, a trapezoid, a parallelogram, a rhombus, a triangle, an n-sided polygon, etc. Further, in an embodiment, the applicator 104 may be orientable in at least one orientation. Further, the transverse cross-sectional profile coaxially aligns with the opening profile in the at least one orientation. Further, each portion of the transverse cross-sectional profile may be parallel to each corresponding portion of the opening profile in the at least one alignment. Further, the applicator 104 may be configured for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space 118 through the opening in the at least one alignment.
Further, in some embodiments, the applicator 104 may be configured for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space 118 through the opening based on an external action performable at the proximal end 110 of the applicator 104. Further, a user may perform the external action on the proximal end 110. Further, the external action may include dipping, immersing, plunging, pushing, pulling, etc.
Further, in some embodiments, the applicator 104 may include an applicator tip 116 coupled to the distal end 112 of the applicator 104. Further, the applicator tip 116 may be designed in at least one shape. Further, a transverse cross-sectional profile of each shape of the at least one shape substantially corresponds to the opening profile. Further, the traversal cross-sectional profile of the each shape of the applicator tip 116 may include a square, a rectangle, a trapezoid, a parallelogram, a rhombus, a triangle, an n-sided polygon, etc. Further, in an embodiment, the applicator tip 116 may be detachably coupled to the distal end 112 of the applicator 104 using at least one tip coupling mechanism. Further, the applicator tip 116 may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may include Hytrel, Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), etc. Further, the applicator tip 116 may be associated with a weight of 0.2 grams.
In further embodiments, a cap may be detachably coupled with the opening. Further, the proximal end 110 of the applicator 104 may be coupled to a base portion of the cap. Further, the proximal end 110 may be attached to the base portion. Further, the base portion opposes the opening. Further, the cap may be configured for facilitating the applicator 104 for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space 118 through the opening. Further, in an embodiment, the cap may be configured for rotating in relation to the opening based on at least one external force receivable by the cap. Further, the at least one external force may include a twisting force, a linear force, etc. Further, the cap may be associated with a plurality of coupling states in relation to the opening. Further, the cap may be configured for transitioning between the plurality of coupling states based on the rotating. Further, the plurality of coupling states may include a closed state and an open state. Further, in an embodiment, the applicator 104 does not rotate in relation to the opening based on the rotating of the cap. Further, the applicator 104 disposed in the interior space 118 does not rotate in relation to the opening based on the rotating of the cap. Further, the cap may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may include Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). Further, the cap may be associated with a weight of 4.4 grams.
In further embodiments, an inner cap may be coupled with the cap. Further, the inner cap may be disposed in the cap. Further, the proximal end 110 of the applicator 104 may be coupled to the cap using the inner cap. Further, each of the cap, the inner cap, and the applicator 104 may be configured to rotate separately. Further, the inner cap may include at least one material. Further, the at least one material may include polyoxymethylene (POM). Further, the inner cap may be associated with a weight of 2.3 grams.
Further, in some embodiments, the upper portion 106 may be detachably coupled with the lower portion 108. Further, the upper portion 106 may be removable from the lower portion 108.
Further, in some embodiments, the lower portion 108 may include a cylindrical wall and a base wall. Further, the cylindrical wall may include a top edge and a bottom edge. Further, the base wall may be attached to the bottom edge of the cylindrical wall forming the interior space 118. Further, in an embodiment, the at least one wall of the upper portion 106 may be disposed along the top edge of the lower portion 108. Further, the at least one wall extends inward from the top edge for the forming of the opening. Further, in an embodiment, the at least one wall may be oriented at an angle in relation to the at least one outer surface of the applicator 104. Further, the angle may include an acute angle, a right angle, and an obtuse angle. Further, an orientation of the at least one wall at the angle allows the interacting of the at least one wall with the at least one outer surface.
Further, in some embodiments, the at least one wall may include at least one wall edge. Further, the opening may be defined by the at least one wall edge. Further, the at least one wall edge may be configured for scraping the portion of the amount of the substance from the at least one outer surface of the applicator 104 based on the at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator 104 from the interior space 118 through the opening.
Further, in some embodiments, the lower portion 108 may be a bottle, the upper portion 106 may be a wiper, the applicator 104 may be a rod, and the applicator tip 116 may be a tip.

Further, the base portion opposes the opening. Further, the cap 3306 may be configured for facilitating the applicator 3304 for the at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator 3304 from the interior space 3322 through the opening.
Further, the inner cap 3308 may be coupled with the cap 3306. Further, the proximal end 3316 of the applicator 3304 may be coupled to the cap 3306 using the inner cap 3308. Further, each of the cap 3306, the inner cap 3308, and the applicator 3304 may be configured to rotate separately.
Further, in some embodiments, the opening may be defined by an opening profile. Further, the opening profile substantially corresponds to the transverse cross-sectional profile of the applicator 3304.
Further, in some embodiments, the applicator 3304 may include an applicator tip 3320 coupled to the distal end 3318 of the applicator 3304. Further, the applicator tip 3320 may be designed in at least one shape. Further, a transverse cross-sectional profile of each shape of the at least one shape substantially corresponds to the opening profile.

Claims
1. An apparatus for facilitating application of a substance, the apparatus comprising:
- a container comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion comprises an interior space and the upper portion comprises an opening leading into the interior space, wherein the container is configured to contain the substance in the interior space; and
- an applicator removably disposable in the interior space, wherein the applicator comprises a rod extending between a proximal end of the applicator and a distal end of the applicator, wherein a traversal cross-sectional profile of the applicator is non-circular, wherein the applicator is configured for extracting the substance from the interior space, wherein the applicator is configured for entering the interior space through the opening, wherein the applicator is configured for immersing in the substance based on the entering, wherein an amount of the substance adheres to at least one outer surface of the applicator based on the immersing, wherein the applicator is configured for exiting the interior space through the opening, wherein the upper portion is configured for wiping the at least one outer surface of the applicator based on at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator from the interior space through the opening, wherein the upper portion comprises at least one wall for forming the opening, wherein the at least one wall is configured for interacting with the at least one outer surface, wherein the wiping of the at least one outer surface is based on the interacting, wherein the wiping removes a portion of the amount of the substance adhered to the at least one outer surface, wherein the wiping facilitates the application of the substance using the applicator.
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the opening is defined by an opening profile, wherein the opening profile substantially corresponds to the transverse cross-sectional profile of the applicator.

The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the applicator is orientable in at least one orientation, wherein the transverse cross-sectional profile coaxially aligns with the opening profile in the at least one orientation, wherein each portion of the transverse cross-sectional profile is parallel to each corresponding portion of the opening profile in the at least one alignment, wherein the applicator is configured for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space through the opening based on the at least one alignment.
4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the applicator is configured for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space through the opening based on an external action performable at the proximal end of the applicator.
5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the applicator comprises an applicator tip coupled to the distal end of the applicator, wherein the applicator tip is designed in at least one shape, wherein a transverse cross-sectional profile of each shape of the at least one shape substantially corresponds to the opening profile.
6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the applicator tip is detachably coupled to the distal end of the applicator using at least one tip coupling mechanism.
7. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a cap detachably coupled with the opening, wherein the proximal end of the applicator is coupled to a base portion of the cap, wherein the base portion opposes the opening, wherein the cap is configured for facilitating the applicator for the at least one of the entering and the exiting from the interior space through the opening.
8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the cap is configured for rotating in relation to the opening based on at least one external force receivable by the cap, wherein the cap is associated with a plurality of coupling states in relation to the opening, wherein the cap is configured for transitioning between the plurality of coupling states based on the rotating, wherein the plurality of coupling states comprises a closed state and an open state.
9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the applicator does not rotate in relation to the opening based on the rotating of the cap.
10. The apparatus of claim 8 further comprising an inner cap coupled with the cap, wherein the proximal end of the applicator is coupled to the cap using the inner cap, wherein each of the cap, the inner cap, and the applicator is configured to rotate separately.
11. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the upper portion is detachably coupled with the lower portion.
12. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the lower portion comprises a cylindrical wall and a base wall, wherein the cylindrical wall comprises a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the base wall is attached to the bottom edge of the cylindrical wall forming the interior space.
13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the at least one wall of the upper portion is disposed along the top edge of the lower portion, wherein the at least one wall extends inward from the top edge for the forming of the opening.
14. The apparatus of claim 13, wherein the at least one wall is oriented at an angle in relation to the at least one outer surface of the applicator.
15. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one wall comprises at least one wall edge, wherein the opening is defined by the at least one wall edge, wherein the at least one wall edge is configured for scraping the portion of the amount of the substance from the at least one outer surface of the applicator based on the at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator from the interior space through the opening.
16. An apparatus for facilitating application of a substance, the apparatus comprising:
- a container comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion comprises an interior space and the upper portion comprises an opening leading into the interior space, wherein the container is configured to contain the substance in the interior space; and
- an applicator removably disposable in the interior space, wherein the applicator comprises a rod extending between a proximal end of the applicator and a distal end of the applicator, wherein a traversal cross-sectional profile of the applicator is non-circular, wherein the applicator is configured for extracting the substance from the interior space, wherein the applicator is configured for entering the interior space through the opening, wherein the applicator is configured for immersing in the substance based on the entering, wherein an amount of the substance adheres to at least one outer surface of the applicator based on the immersing, wherein the applicator is configured for exiting the interior space through the opening, wherein the upper portion is configured for wiping the at least one outer surface of the applicator based on at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator from the interior space through the opening, wherein the upper portion comprises at least one wall for forming the opening, wherein the at least one wall is configured for interacting with the at least one outer surface, wherein the wiping of the at least one outer surface is based on the interacting, wherein the wiping removes a portion of the amount of the substance adhered to the at least one outer surface, wherein the wiping facilitates the application of the substance using the applicator;
- a cap detachably coupled with the opening, wherein the proximal end the applicator is coupled to a base portion of the cap, wherein the base portion opposes the opening, wherein the cap is configured for facilitating the applicator for the at least one of the entering and the exiting of the applicator from the interior space through the opening; and
- an inner cap coupled with the cap, wherein the proximal end of the applicator is coupled to the cap using the inner cap, wherein each of the cap, the inner cap, and the applicator is configured to rotate separately.
17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the opening is defined by an opening profile, wherein the opening profile substantially corresponds to the transverse cross-sectional profile of the applicator.
18. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the applicator comprises an applicator tip coupled to the distal end of the applicator, wherein the applicator tip is designed in at least one shape, wherein a transverse cross-sectional profile of each shape of the at least one shape substantially corresponds to the opening profile.
19. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the lower portion comprises a cylindrical wall and a base wall, wherein the cylindrical wall comprises a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the base wall is attached to the bottom edge of the cylindrical wall forming the interior space.
20. The apparatus of claim 19, wherein the at least one wall of the upper portion is disposed along the top edge of the lower portion, wherein the at least one wall extends inward from the top edge for the forming of the opening.
