Decorative Toilet Paper Holder

Abstract

The present invention relates to a decorative toilet paper holder. The holder is configured to be styled as one or more of an animal likeness, a sports equipment replica, a logo, a cartoon character, a doll, a toy and many more. The toilet paper holder comprises: a holder body that includes a cavity to accommodate a toilet paper roll; a weighted base or a suction cup attached to the bottom of the holder body, directly or through a detachable handle, for placing the holder on a surface; the toilet paper roll is rolled over a spindle within the cavity, wherein the spindle can be removed for replacing the toilet paper roll. The holder also includes a sleeve or pocket for storing an air freshener for providing fresh or scented air.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/183,213, which was filed on May 3, 2021 and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of dispensers. More specifically, the present invention relates to a unique toilet paper holder that enhances the aesthetic look of bathrooms. The toilet paper holder comprises an interior cavity to support a roll of toilet paper for distributing/dispensing the toilet paper sheets to a user, as per the requirements of the user. The toilet paper holder can be designed as an animal likeness, a sports ball, a company logo, an object, a place and numerous other styles. Each holder style is designed for fun and entertainment while distributing toilet paper. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

By way of background, toilet-roll holders, also known as a toilet paper dispensers, are items that hold a roll of toilet paper and are generally used by all individuals for organizing tissues or toilet papers in bathrooms. Standard toilet paper roll holders comprise a hinged length of wire mounted horizontally on a wall or a thicker axle-like structure that can be recessed into a wall. Generally, conventional toilet roll holders are mounted on a wall near the toilet of the bathroom to allow the users to access the toilet roll as per the user's requirements. Once the toilet roll holder is mounted on the wall, a toilet paper roll can be fitted into the structure to allow a user to retrieve toilet paper sheets as required. However, even if the toiler roll holder is mounted on the wall near the toilet, some individuals may not be able to reach or access the toilet rolls easily. Further, once the toilet roll holder is mounted on a wall, it may be a difficult task to change the position of the toilet roll holder in case the user desires to do so. People cannot change the position of toilet roll holders easily by themselves and may need assistance from construction experts.

Additionally, conventional toilet roll holders are quite common in design and can be found in nearly every home. Standard toilet paper holders may be boring and uninspiring, and individuals can get bored of the aesthetics in their bathroom and desire more entertaining decorations. Custom toilet paper holders can be expensive, which can make them unaffordable to many individuals.

Further, people may also prefer to have air fresheners in their bathrooms to mask/remove unpleasant odors in bathrooms and deliver fragrance to enhance the user experience. Typically, people are required to buy an air freshener separately for their bathrooms, and set up the air freshener at a predetermined location in the bathroom, separate from the toilet roll holder. People may find it difficult to find a location to set up air fresheners in their bathrooms. In situations where air fresheners are not set up in bathrooms, the room may succumb to unpleasant odors and poor user experiences.

Therefore, there exists a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper holder that makes the toilet roll sheets easily accessible to the users as per their desires. There is also a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper holder that enables the users to easily change the position of the toilet roll holders as per their convenience. Additionally, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll holder that eliminates the need to enlist the assistance of experts for changing the position of the toilet roll holders in the bathrooms. Moreover, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll dispensing unit that is not boring, and provides an aesthetically appealing look to the bathrooms. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll holder that eliminates the need to look for expensive custom toilet holders to change the look of the bathrooms. Furthermore, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll holder that eliminates the need to separately set up air fresheners in the bathrooms. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll holder that improves the aesthetic look of bathrooms and enhances the overall user experience.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one potential embodiment thereof, comprises a decorative toilet paper holder. The decorative toilet paper holder is configured to be styled as one or more of an animal likeness, a sport equipment replica, a logo, a cartoon character, a doll, a toy and the like. The toilet paper holder includes a holder body that includes a cavity to accommodate a toilet paper roll. The holder also includes a weighted base, attachable to the holder body directly or through a detachable handle. The weighted base provides stability to the holder when placed on a surface. The toilet paper roll is rolled over a spindle within the cavity wherein the spindle can be removed for replacing the toilet paper roll. The holder further includes a sleeve or pocket for storing an air freshener for providing a fresh scent or odor-eating dispersant.

In this manner, the novel toilet roll holder of the present invention accomplishes all of the forgoing objectives and provides a relatively easy and aesthetically appealing solution to store and organize toilet rolls in bathrooms. The toilet roll holder of the present invention is also user-friendly, as it ensures the user is able to change the position of the toilet roll holder as per their requirements, without needing any assistance from any experts. Additionally, the toilet roll paper holder includes a sleeve to conceal an air freshener or odor-eating dispersant, and eliminates the need to separately keep air fresheners in bathrooms.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one potential embodiment thereof, comprises a decorative toilet paper holder. The decorative toilet paper holder is configured to be styled as one or more of an animal likeness, a sport equipment replica, a logo, a cartoon character, a doll, a toy and the like. The toilet paper holder includes a holder body that includes a cavity to accommodate a toilet paper roll. The holder also includes a weighted base, attachable to the holder body directly or through a detachable handle. The weighted base provides stability to the holder when placed on a surface. The toilet paper roll is rolled over a spindle within the cavity, wherein the spindle can be removed for replacing the toilet paper roll. The holder further includes a sleeve or pocket for storing an air freshener for providing a fresh scent or odor-eating dispersant.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention, a suction cap can be used to place the decorative toilet paper holder on a surface. The holder body can be in the shape and look of an animal likeness, a sports equipment, a logo, a cartoon character, a doll, a toy and the like.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the air freshener and the toilet paper roll are replaceable or replenishable. The toilet paper roll, with or without tear perforations, can be used with the decorative toilet paper holder of the present invention.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the cavity or opening can have a tearing edge to easily tear the perforated or non-perforated toilet paper. This allows simplified, single-handed, and handicap-friendly tearing of the toilet paper for use.

In yet a further embodiment of the present invention, a portable toilet paper holder and dispenser device is disclosed. The portable toilet paper holder and dispenser device includes a weighted base to place the device on a surface, and/or a suction cup at the rear portion of the device to mount on the floor, a wall or a toilet fixture surface. The holder further includes a sleeve to conceal an air freshener or odor-eating dispersant, and a cavity within the holder body to store the toilet paper in the form of a roll over a spindle.

In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the suction cup and base are removably attached to the holder body. The toilet paper holder is made up of one or more of silicone, plastic, fiberglass or rubber.

The decorative toilet paper holder of the present invention can be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed, includes a durable and reliable construction, and is susceptible of a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making the decorative toilet paper holder economically available to the buying public. The decorative toilet paper holder offers a fun, unique and entertaining toilet paper holder. The holder can be matched to any bathroom aesthetic or décor, and can be placed at any convenient place, as per the limited storage space of the bathroom area.

To the accomplishment of the foregoing and related ends, certain illustrative aspects of the disclosed innovation are described herein in connection with the following description and the annexed drawings. These aspects are indicative, however, of but a few of the various ways in which the principles disclosed herein can be employed and are intended to include all such aspects and their equivalents. Other advantages and novel features will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.

As noted above, there exists a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper holder that makes the toilet roll sheets easily accessible to the users as per their desires. There is also a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper holder that enables the users to easily change the position of the toilet paper roll holders as per their convenience. Additionally, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper roll holder that eliminates the need to enlist the assistance from experts for changing the position of the toilet paper roll holders in the bathrooms. Moreover, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet roll dispensing unit that is not boring, and that provides an aesthetically appealing look to the bathrooms. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper roll holder that eliminates the need to look for expensive custom toilet holders to change the look of the bathrooms. Furthermore, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper roll holder that eliminates the need to separately set up air fresheners in the bathrooms. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for a toilet paper roll holder that improves the aesthetic look of bathrooms and enhances the overall user experience.

The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel toilet paper holder and dispenser device. The portable toilet paper holder and dispenser device includes a weighted base to place the device on a surface, a suction cup at the rear portion of the device to mount on a wall, a sleeve to conceal an air freshener or odor eating compound and a cavity within the holder body to store the toilet paper in the form of a roll over a spindle.

Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of a one potential embodiment of decorative toilet paper holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In the present embodiment, the decorative toilet paper holder 100 is in the form of a football 102. The holder 100 embodies a football 102, and comes in various colors and designs. The football 102 can have the logo and branding of football teams to make the holder 100 attractive, thereby increasing the aesthetic appeal of a bathroom. The holder 100 is portable and can be placed on any surface for convenient use. The holder 100 includes a weighted base 104, to allow a secure and stable placement of the holder 100 on a flat surface. Alternatively, the holder 100 can have a suction cup in place of the weighted base 104. The weighted base 104 includes anti-skid properties and remains stable on surfaces such as ceramic, marble, metal and the like. The weighted base 104 can be connected to a stand 106 that is attached to a base plate 108. The football design 102 can be hollow and may include an interior cavity 110 for storing a toilet paper roll 118 with a perforated paper portion 120 that can be accessed by a user.

The toilet paper roll 118 can be placed over a rolling arm/spindle 112 that is configured to roll (in a clockwise direction) when the paper portion 120 is pulled by a user. The rolling arm or spindle 112 can be attached to a pair of hinged locators 114 that support opposing ends of the rolling arm 112. The hinged locators 114 can be permanently attached to the football body 102, and the rolling arm 112 can be easily removed from the hinged locators 114 to replace the toilet paper roll 118 with a new toilet paper roll. The rolling arm 112 can be accessed by opening the football body 102 through the cavity 110 for replacing the toilet paper roll 118.

The toilet paper holder 100 includes a sleeve 116, preferably at the rear portion that is configured to conceal an air freshener or odor eater. The air freshener can also be interchanged with a new air freshener based on the preferences of a user. The football body 102 can be made up of rubber, silicone or synthetic resin. The holder 100 is lightweight and durable.

FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view showing how one potential embodiment of the decorative toilet paper holder is placed on a surface in accordance with the disclosed architecture. To place the football-shaped decorative toilet paper holder 100 on a surface 202, such as a top surface of a toilet tank, the weighted base 104 can be placed securely thereto, and the weight of the base 104 can keep the holder 100 stable. As described above, in one potential embodiment, a suction cup can be used in place of the weighted base 104 for securing the holder 100 on a surface. The holder 100 remains stable when the toilet paper grasping end 120 is pulled by a user, due to the weighted base or suction cup used at the bottom of the holder 100. The toilet paper roll 118 can be replaced by opening the football body 102 through a slit 204 positioned at any convenient location. The cavity of the football body 102 can be accessed to replace the toilet paper roll 118 with a new roll.

FIG. 3A illustrates a front perspective view of a teddy bear-style embodiment of the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In one potential embodiment, the decorative toilet paper roll holder is in the form of a teddy bear-style toilet paper holder 300. The teddy bear-style toilet paper holder 300 is especially appealing for children, and can motivate them to use the toilet paper. The holder 300 includes a teddy bear-shaped body 302 and a weighted base 304 connected to the body 302 at the bottom through a handle (not shown). The teddy holder 300 has a first groove 306 in a left arm 3022 and a second groove 308 in a right arm 3020, to hold the spindle 310 on which the toilet paper roll 312 is placed. The spindle 310 easily allows the unrolling of toilet paper from the roll 312 by rotation when pulled by a user. It should be noted that the spindle 310 can be removed easily from the grooves 306, 308 for replacing the consumed toilet paper roll 312 with a new roll.

FIG. 3B illustrates a rear perspective view of the teddy bear-style embodiment of the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The teddy bear body 302 includes a sleeve 316 at the rear portion 314 of the body 302, and is configured to store a replaceable and replenishable air freshener 318. The sleeve 316 can be open or can include a zipper, snap button or hook and loop fasteners to secure the air freshener 318 within the sleeve 316. In another embodiment, the sleeve 316 can be connected to the spindle 310, wherein upon rotation of the spindle 310 the sleeve 316 can actuate or disperse the air freshener 318 autonomously.

FIG. 4 illustrates a perspective view showing a child pulling a toilet paper from the teddy bear-style toilet paper roll holder in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The teddy bear style toilet paper roll holder 300 can be kept or retained to any surface such as a top surface 202 of the toilet tank, and can be supported and balanced by the weighted base 304. A child 400 easily pulls the perforated toilet paper 402 from the toilet roll 312 for use. The perforations allow the toilet paper to be torn and separated using very little force.

FIG. 5 illustrates a perspective view of a basketball-style embodiment of the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention, in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In one potential embodiment, the designer toilet paper roll holder of the present invention is in the form of a basketball toilet paper holder 500. The basketball toilet paper holder 500 includes a suction cup 504 to place on a surface and can be connected to the basketball body 502 through a handle 506. The basketball holder body 502 includes a cavity 512 to hold the toilet paper roll 508 in a spindle (not shown). The working of the spindle in the present embodiment is similar to the other embodiments as described above. A terminal end 520 of the toilet paper roll 508 can be easily accessed for pulling out the toilet paper for use. The basketball holder body 502 includes a sleeve or a pocket 510 for storing an air freshener or odor eater to keep the environment of the washroom pleasing.

The basketball 502 includes a cavity or opening 512 having a fixed or a tearing edge 514 along a top edge of the cavity 512, thereby enabling a user to easily tear the toilet paper at perforations or at predetermined lengths. This is especially useful in cases where the toilet paper does not include perforations.

FIG. 6 illustrates a perspective view of a soccer-style embodiment of the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. In one potential embodiment, the decorative toilet paper roll holder of the present invention is in the form of a soccer ball toilet paper holder 600. The soccer ball toilet paper holder 600 includes a suction cup 604 at the rear of the soccer ball body 602, thereby enabling the soccer ball toilet paper holder 600 to mount on a wall. Additionally, a second suction cup or weighted base 606 is used for placing the holder 600 on a surface. The second suction cup or weighted base 606 can be connected to the soccer body 602.

The soccer holder body 602 includes a cavity 612 to hold the toilet paper roll 608 in a spindle (not shown). The working of the spindle in the present embodiment is similar to the other embodiments as described above. The toilet paper roll 608 can be easily accessed for pulling out a perforated toilet paper 614 section to a predeterminable length. The soccer ball holder body 502 includes a sleeve or a pocket 610 for storing an air freshener to keep the environment of the washroom pleasing.

The soccer ball body 602 includes a pair of tearing edges 616 along the top and bottom edges of the cavity 612, thereby enabling a user to easily tear the toilet paper at perforations or at a predeterminable length. This can be particularly useful in cases where the toilet paper does not have perforations.

Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different persons may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “decorative toilet paper holder”, “toilet paper holder”, “soccer ball toilet paper holder”, “basketball toilet paper holder”, “teddy bear style toilet paper holder”, and “holder”, are interchangeable and refer to the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 of the present invention.

Notwithstanding the forgoing, the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 of the present invention can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that it accomplishes the above-stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the size, configuration, and material of the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 as shown in the FIGS. are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 are important design parameters for user convenience, the decorative toilet paper holder 100, 300, 500, 600 may be of any size that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user's needs and/or preferences.

Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features and embodiments that do not include all of the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof

Claims

1. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising:

a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper;

a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface;

a stand attached to said base;

a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle;

said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators; and

a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for an air freshener, wherein said holder includes at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

2. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 1, wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup.

3. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 2, wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder.

4. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 3, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a silicone or a plastic.

5. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 4, wherein said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

6. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 5, wherein said air freshener is replenishable.

7. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 3, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a fiberglass and a rubber.

8. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 7 further comprising at least another fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

9. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 8, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.

10. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising:

a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper;

a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface;

a stand attached to said base;

a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle;

said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators; and

a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for an air freshener, wherein said rotation of said spindle actuates said air freshener.

11. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 10, wherein said holder includes at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

12. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 11, wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup.

13. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 12, wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder.

14. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 13, wherein said holder comprises a material selected from a group consisting of a silicone, a plastic, a fiberglass, and a rubber.

15. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 14, wherein said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

16. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 15, wherein said air freshener is replenishable.

17. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 16 further comprising at least another fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length.

18. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 17, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.

19. A toilet paper dispensing unit comprising:

a toilet paper holder having an opening for dispensing a toilet paper;

a portable weighted base, wherein said base includes an anti-skid bottom surface;

a stand attached to said base;

a pair of hinged locators for selectively securing opposing ends of a spindle;

said spindle is a rotating spindle selectively removable from said hinged locators;

a sleeve housing in an interior of said holder, wherein said sleeve includes a pocket for a replenishable air freshener;

wherein said rotation of said spindle actuates said air freshener;

wherein said holder comprises at least one fixed edge for tearing said toilet paper at a predeterminable length;

wherein said anti-skid bottom surface is a suction cup;

wherein said base is selectively removably attached to said holder; and

said toilet paper is a roll of toilet paper.

20. The toilet paper dispensing unit of claim 19, wherein said holder comprises a shape selected from a group consisting of a teddy bear, a football, a basketball and a soccer ball.
