BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a pair of pouches. Each of the pouches has a width that is greater than a length of the pouches such that each of the pouches has a rectangular shape to accommodate a sleeping pillow. Each of the pouches has an entrance extending into the pouches to facilitate the sleeping pillows to be inserted into the pouches. A pair of closures is provided and each of the closures is movably integrated into a respective one of the pouches for opening and closing the entrance in the respective pouch. A strap is coupled between the pouches and the strap can be worn over a user's shoulder for carrying the pillows stored in the pouches.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
Each of the pouches 12 has a first end 18, a second end 20 and an outer wall 22 extending between the first end 18 and the second end 20, and the outer wall 22 has a top side 24, a bottom side 26, a front side 28 and a back side 30. Each of the pouches 12 is elongated between the first end 18 and the second end 20, and each of the front side 28 and the back side 30 of the outer wall 22 of each of the pouches 12 is curved such that each of the pouches 12 has an ovoid cross section taken along a line extending through the first end 18 and the second end 20. Furthermore, a distance between the top side 24 and the bottom side 26 of the outer wall 22 is less than a distance between the front side 28 and the back side 30 of the outer wall 22. The entrance 16 associated with each of the pouches 12 extends through the top side 24 of the outer wall 22, and the entrance 16 associated with each of the pouches 12 extends substantially between the first end 18 and the second end 20. Additionally, the entrance 16 associated with each of the pouches 12 is positioned adjacent to the front side 28 of the outer wall 22.
A pair of closures 32 is each movably integrated into a respective one of the pouches 12. Each of the closures 32 is aligned with the entrance 16 in the respective pouch 12 for opening and closing the entrance 16 in the respective pouch 12. Each of the closures 32 includes a first portion 34 and a second portion 36. The first portion 34 is matable to the second portion 36 for closing the entrance 16, and the first portion 34 is unmatable to the second portion 36 for opening the entrance 16. Each of the closures 32 might comprise a zipper, complementary hook and loop fasteners or other type of multiple use closure.
A strap 38 is coupled between the pouches 12 such that the strap 38 can be worn over a user's shoulder 40 for carrying the pillow 14 stored in each of the pouches 12. The strap 38 has a primary end 42 and a secondary end 44, and each of the primary end 42 and the secondary end 44 is coupled to the bottom side 26 of the outer wall 22 of a respective one of the pouches 12. Additionally, the strap 38 is centrally positioned along the front side 28 of the outer wall 22.
In an alternative embodiment 46 as is most clearly shown in
In use, each pillow 14 is inserted into a respective one of the pouches 12 and each of the closures 32 is closed. The strap 38 is worn over the user's shoulder 40 for suspending each of the pouches 12 from the user's shoulder 40. In this way each pillow 14 can be carried while travelling, for example, without needing to place the pillows 14 in a suitcase or other article of luggage. Each pillow 14 is removed from the respective pouches 12 prior to employing the pillows 14 for sleeping.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
