HAIRSTYLING TOOLS CAPABLE OF EMITTING FRAGRANCE AND/OR LIGHTS
The present invention is a hairstyling tool capable of emitting fragrance and/or lights. As non-limiting embodiments, the hairstyling tool may be a hair pick, a comb, or a brush that includes a first end, a second end, a front side, a rear side, at least one edge or sidewall, a first or handle section, and a second or hairstyling section. In addition, the hairstyling tool further includes some, many, most or all of the following fragrance-related components, lights-related components, or their equivalents: a charging port, a power source, a fragrance activator or initiator, a fragrance pump line, a fragrance source or element, a light source, a nozzle or outlet, an activation member, a power source wire(s), and a power wire(s) for lights.
The present invention generally relates to hairstyling tools. More specifically, the present invention is a hairstyling tool capable of emitting fragrance and/or lights.
Description of the Related ArtHairstyling tools are known in the art.
The present invention overcomes one or more of the shortcomings of hairstyling tools. The Applicant is unaware of inventions or patent documents, taken either singly or in combination, which are seen to describe the present invention as claimed.
An advantage of the hairstyling tool of the present invention is that it is capable of emitting a fragrance(s).
Another advantage of the hairstyling tool of the present invention is that it is capable of emitting lights and/or light patterns.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention is a hairstyling tool capable of emitting fragrance and/or lights. As non-limiting embodiments, the hairstyling tool may be a hair pick, a comb, or a brush that comprises a first end, a second end, a front side, a rear side, a pair of edges or sidewalls, a first or handle section, and a second or hairstyling section. In addition, the hairstyling tool further comprises some, many, most or all of the following fragrance-related components, lights-related components, or their equivalents: a charging port, a power source, a fragrance activator or initiator, a fragrance pump line, a fragrance source or element, a light source, a nozzle or outlet, an activation member, a power source wire(s), and a power wire(s) for lights.

Preferably, the front side 106 and rear side 108 of the hair pick 100 are substantially or exactly the same as one another. Preferably, each of the front side 106 and rear side 108 are generally planar.
The first or handle section 110 is disposed between the first end 102 and second end 104, and is located proximate the first end 102. Preferably, the first or handle section 110 has a thickness and a chamber, cavity or canal 112 running along the first or handle section 110 for receiving and retaining fragrance-related components, lights-related components, and/or their equivalents. The first or handle section 110 is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use.
The second or hairstyling section 120 is disposed between the first end 102 and second end 104, and is located proximate the second end 104. Preferably, the second or hairstyling section 120 has a thickness, a chamber, cavity or canal 122, and a plurality of teeth 124 pointed toward the second end 104. The chamber, cavity or canal 122 runs along the second or hairstyling section 120 for receiving and retaining fragrance-related components, lights-related components, and/or their equivalents. Each tooth 124 of the plurality of teeth 124 is spaced from one another, has a predetermined length, and is preferably substantially similar to one another. The plurality of teeth 124 of a particular pick may be spaced from one another at various distances and/or the same distance(s) to allow the user to perform certain hairstyling acts effectively and/or efficiently.
The charging port 130 is dimensioned and configured for receiving a power charge from a charging element or device, which may be any charging element or device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, whereby the power charge received is able to charge the power source 135. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 130 is located at the first end 102 of the hair pick 100. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 130 may be a USB charging port that is adapted for receiving a charge from a USB charging element. Alternatively, a non-limiting embodiment of a hair pick contains a power cord, instead of or along with a charging port 130, that may be plugged into a power outlet to obtain power or energy to operate the hair pick.
The power source 135 preferably provides energy or charge for the hair pick 100 to emit fragrance from the fragrance source or element 150 when activated or initiated by powering the fragrance pump 140, and also houses the electronics for controlling and powering the light source 155a,155b to emit light and/or light patterns. The power source 135 may be a battery (such as, but not limited to, a rechargeable battery) and related electronics, a charge device, any electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, any non-electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof. As a non-limiting example, the battery 135 is positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 112 of the first or handle section 110, and is operationally connected to the charging port 130 by a power source wire(s) 180 such that the battery 135 may be charged by a charging element or device through the charging port 130.
The fragrance activator or initiator 140 is operationally connected to the power source 135 at one end and to the fragrance source or element 150 at another end. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance activator or initiator 140 is a fragrance pump 140. When activated or initiated by the power source 135, the fragrance pump 140, is able to cause an amount of fragrance to be pumped out from the fragrance source or element 150 toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 160 via the fragrance pump line 145.
The fragrance source or element 150 contains fragrance, and emits an amount, preferably a predetermined amount, of fragrance directed toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 160 via the fragrance pump line 145 when the fragrance pump 140 is activated or initiated. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance source or element 150 is a fragrance insert bottle 150. Preferably, the fragrance insert bottle 150 is a small bottle that is inserted on or about an edge 109L of the pick 100. The fragrance source or element 150 may be any fragrance source or element known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and may be in any form, such as, but not limited to, a gel, a solid, a liquid, and any combination thereof.
The fragrance pump line 145 connects the fragrance source or element 150 to the nozzle or outlet 160 when the fragrance source or element 150 is a fragrance insert bottle 150 and the like. The fragrance pump line 145 may be any pump line or tube or transfer line or tube known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The activation member 170 initiates or activates the release of fragrance product(s) from the fragrance source or element 150. The activation member 170 may be a push button 170, a switch, any other activation member known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof.
The light source 155a,155b emits light and/or light patterns when the light source 155a,155b is activated or initiated by the activation member 170. As a non-limiting example, the light source 155a,155b is a light strip 155a with flashing lights 155b (such as, but not limited to, LED lights, preferably a series of colored LED lights). As a non-limiting example, the light strip 155a with flashing lights 155b are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 122 of the second or hairstyling section 120. Preferably, the series of colored LED lights 155b rotate through different colors when the user is holding down the push button 170 for a longer amount of time to keep the colors rotating but, preferably, only one fragrance unit is emitted per click or push of the push button 170. The light source 155a,155b may be any light source known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The power wire(s) 190 for lights connects the activation member 170 to the light source 155a,155b. The power wire(s) 190 for lights may be any power wire known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
Preferably, all, most or many of the following fragrance-related components, lights-related components, or their equivalents are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 112 of the first or handle section 110 and chamber, cavity or canal 122 of the second or hairstyling section 120 to prevent potential electrical hazards during use.
During use, as a non-limiting example, a user is able to emit an amount of fragrance from the hair pick 100 by making contact with (such as, but not limited to, pressing on or holding down) the push button 170. Preferably, the user is also able to emit a rotation of lights from the series of colored LED lights 155b by holding down the push button 170 for a longer amount of time.

Preferably, the front side 206 and rear side 208 of the comb 200 are substantially or exactly the same as one another. Preferably, each of the front side 206 and rear side 208 are generally planar.
The first or handle section 210 is disposed between the first end 202 and second end 204, and is located proximate the first end 202. The first or handle section 210 is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use.
The second or hairstyling section 220 is disposed between the first end 202 and second end 204, and is located proximate the second end 204. Preferably, the second or hairstyling section 220 has a thickness, a chamber, cavity or canal 222, and a plurality of teeth 224 pointed about ninety degrees laterally from the longitudinal axis of the first or handle section 210. The chamber, cavity or canal 222 runs along the second or hairstyling section 220 for receiving and retaining fragrance-related components, lights-related components, and/or their equivalents. Each tooth 224 of the plurality of teeth 224 is spaced from one another, has a predetermined length, and is preferably substantially similar to one another. The plurality of teeth 224 of a particular comb may be spaced from one another at various distances and/or the same distance(s) to allow the user to perform certain hairstyling acts effectively and/or efficiently.
The charging port 230 is dimensioned and configured for receiving a power charge from a charging element or device, which may be any charging element or device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, whereby the power charge received is able to charge the power source 235. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 230 is located at the first end 202 of the comb 200. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 230 may be a USB charging port that is adapted for receiving a charge from a USB charging element. Alternatively, a non-limiting embodiment of a comb may contain a power cord, instead of or along with a charging port 230, that may be plugged into a power outlet to obtain power or energy to operate the comb.
The power source 235 preferably provides energy or charge for the comb 200 to emit fragrance from the fragrance source or element 250 when activated or initiated by powering the fragrance pump 240, and also houses the electronics for controlling and powering the light source 255a,255b to emit light and/or light patterns. The power source 235 may be a battery (such as, but not limited to, a rechargeable battery) and related electronics, a charge device, any electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, any non-electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof. As a non-limiting example, the battery 235 is positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 212 of the first or handle section 210, and is operationally connected to the charging port 230 by a power source wire(s) 280 such that the battery 235 may be charged by a charging element or device through the charging port 230.
The fragrance activator or initiator 240 is operationally connected to the power source 235 at one end and to the fragrance source or element 250 at another end. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance activator or initiator 240 is a fragrance pump 240. When activated or initiated by the power source 235, the fragrance pump 240, is able to cause an amount of fragrance to be pumped out from the fragrance source or element 250 toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 260 via the fragrance pump line 245.
The fragrance source or element 250 contains fragrance, and emits an amount, preferably a predetermined amount, of fragrance directed toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 260 via the fragrance pump line 245 when the fragrance pump 240 is activated or initiated. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance source or element 250 is a fragrance insert bottle 250. Preferably, the fragrance insert bottle 250 is a small bottle that is inserted on or about an edge 209L of the comb 200. The fragrance source or element 250 may be any fragrance source or element known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and may be in any form, such as, but not limited to, a gel, a solid, a liquid, and any combination thereof.
The fragrance pump line 245 connects the fragrance source or element 250 to the nozzle or outlet 260 when the fragrance source or element 250 is a fragrance insert bottle 250 and the like. The fragrance pump line 245 may be any pump line or tube or transfer line or tube known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The activation member 270 initiates or activates the release of fragrance product(s) from the fragrance source or element 250. The activation member 270 may be a push button 270, a switch, any other activation member known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof.
The light source 255a,255b emits light and/or light patterns when the light source 255a,255b is activated or initiated by the activation member 270. As a non-limiting example, the light source 255a,255b is a light strip 255a with flashing lights 255b (such as, but not limited to, LED lights, preferably a series of colored LED lights). As a non-limiting example, the light strip 255a with flashing lights 255b are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 222 of the second or hairstyling section 220. Preferably, the series of colored LED lights 255b rotate through different colors when the user is holding down the push button 270 for a longer amount of time to keep the colors rotating but, preferably, only one fragrance unit is emitted per click or push of the push button 270. The light source 255a,255b may be any light source known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The power wire(s) 290 for lights connects the activation member 270 to the light source 255a,255b. The power wire(s) 290 for lights may be any power wire known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
Preferably, all, most or many of the following fragrance-related components, lights-related components, or their equivalents are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 212 of the first or handle section 210 and chamber, cavity or canal 222 of the second or hairstyling section 220 to prevent potential electrical hazards during use.
During use, as a non-limiting example, a user is able to emit an amount of fragrance from the comb 200 by making contact with (such as, but not limited to, pressing on or holding down) the push button 270. Preferably, the user is also able to emit a rotation of lights from the series of colored LED lights 255b by holding down the push button 270 for a longer amount of time.

Preferably, the first or handle section 310 has a thickness, a chamber, cavity or canal 312, a front side 316, and a rear side 318. The chamber, cavity or canal 312 runs along the first or handle section 310 for receiving and retaining fragrance-related components, lights-related components, and/or their equivalents. The first or handle section 310 is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use.
The second or hairstyling section 320 is disposed between the first end 302 and second end 304, and is located proximate the second end 304. Preferably, the second or hairstyling section 320 has a thickness, a chamber, cavity or canal 322, a plurality of bristles 324, a front side 326, and a rear side 328. The chamber, cavity or canal 322 runs along the second or hairstyling section 320 for receiving and retaining fragrance-related components, lights-related components, and/or their equivalents. As a non-limiting example, the plurality of bristles 324 point about ninety degrees outward away from the front side 326 of the second or hairstyling section 320. Each bristle 324 of the plurality of bristles 324 is spaced from one another, has a predetermined length, and is preferably substantially similar to one another. The plurality of bristles 324 of a particular brush may be spaced from one another at various distances and/or the same distance(s) to allow the user to perform certain hairstyling acts effectively and/or efficiently.
Preferably, the rear side 308 of the second or hairstyling section 320 is generally planar.
The charging port 330 is dimensioned and configured for receiving a power charge from a charging element or device, which may be any charging element or device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, whereby the power charge received is able to charge the power source 335. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 330 is located at the first end 302 of the brush 300. As a non-limiting example, the charging port 330 may be a USB charging port that is adapted for receiving a charge from a USB charging element. Alternatively, a non-limiting embodiment of a brush may contain a power cord, instead of or along with a charging port 330, that may be plugged into a power outlet to obtain power or energy to operate the brush.
The power source 335 preferably provides energy or charge for the brush 300 to emit fragrance from the fragrance source or element 350 when activated or initiated by powering the fragrance pump 340, and also houses the electronics for controlling and powering the light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2 to emit light and/or light patterns. The power source 335 may be a battery (such as, but not limited to, a rechargeable battery) and related electronics, a charge device, any electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, any non-electronic device known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof. As a non-limiting example, the battery 335 is positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 312 of the first or handle section 310, and is operationally connected to the charging port 330 by a power source wire(s) 380 such that the battery 335 may be charged by a charging element or device through the charging port 330.
The fragrance activator or initiator 340 is operationally connected to the power source 335 at one end and to the fragrance source or element 350 at another end. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance activator or initiator 340 is a fragrance pump 340. When activated or initiated by the power source 335, the fragrance pump 340, is able to cause an amount of fragrance to be pumped out from the fragrance source or element 350 toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 360 via the fragrance pump line 345.
The fragrance source or element 350 contains fragrance, and emits an amount, preferably a predetermined amount, of fragrance directed toward and out of the nozzle or outlet 360 via the fragrance pump line 345 when the fragrance pump 340 is activated or initiated. As a non-limiting example, the fragrance source or element 350 is a fragrance insert bottle 350. Preferably, the fragrance insert bottle 350 is a small bottle that is inserted on or about an edge 309L of the brush 300. The fragrance source or element 350 may be any fragrance source or element known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and may be in any form, such as, but not limited to, a gel, a solid, a liquid, and any combination thereof.
The fragrance pump line 345 connects the fragrance source or element 350 to the nozzle or outlet 360 when the fragrance source or element 350 is a fragrance insert bottle 350 and the like. The fragrance pump line 345 may be any pump line or tube or transfer line or tube known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The activation member 370 initiates or activates the release of fragrance product(s) from the fragrance source or element 350. The activation member 370 may be a push button 370, a switch, any other activation member known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof.
The light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2 emits light and/or light patterns when the light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2 is activated or initiated by the activation member 370. As a non-limiting example, the light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2 is a pair of light strips 355a1,355a2 with flashing lights 355b1,355b2 (such as, but not limited to, LED lights, preferably a series of colored LED lights). As a non-limiting example, the light strips 355a1,355a2 with flashing lights 355b1,355b2 are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 322 of the second or hairstyling section 320. Preferably, the series of colored LED lights 355b1,355b2 rotate through different colors when the user is holding down the push button 370 for a longer amount of time to keep the colors rotating but, preferably, only one fragrance unit is emitted per click or push of the push button 370. The light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2 may be any light source known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
The power wire(s) 390 for lights connects the activation member 370 to the light source 355a1,355b1,355a2,355b2. The power wire(s) 390 for lights may be any power wire known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
Preferably, all, most or many of the following fragrance-related components, lights-related components, or their equivalents are positioned in the chamber, cavity or canal 312 of the first or handle section 310 and chamber, cavity or canal 322 of the second or hairstyling section 320 to prevent potential electrical hazards during use.
During use, as a non-limiting example, a user is able to emit an amount of fragrance from the brush 300 by making contact with (such as, but not limited to, pressing on or holding down) the push button 370. Preferably, the user is also able to emit a rotation of lights from the series of colored LED lights 355b1,355b2 by holding down the push button 370 for a longer amount of time.
Preferably, each of the hair pick 100, comb 200, and brush 300 is made or manufactured of a plastic material, such as, but not limited to, a clear or transparent plastic material, any other material known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above or as shown in the attached figures, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the spirit of the invention.
Claims
1. A hairstyling tool comprising:
- a first end;
- a second end;
- a front side;
- a rear side;
- at least one sidewall;
- a handle section disposed between said first end and said second end and located proximate said first end,
- wherein said handle section is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use;
- a hairstyling section for styling hair;
- a power source for providing power to said hairstyling tool;
- a fragrance source for providing fragrance to be emitted from said hairstyling tool; and
- a fragrance activator for activating said fragrance source.
2. The hairstyling tool according to claim 1, wherein said hairstyling tool is a hair pick, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
3. The hairstyling tool according to claim 1, wherein said hairstyling tool is a comb, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
4. The hairstyling tool according to claim 1, wherein said hairstyling tool is a brush, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of bristles.
5. The hairstyling tool according to claim 1, further comprising a chamber disposed within at least one of said handle section and said hairstyling section, wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for receiving said power source and said fragrance source.
6. The hairstyling tool according to claim 5, wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for further receiving said fragrance activator.
7. The hairstyling tool according to claim 1, further comprising a charging port.
8. A hairstyling tool comprising:
- a first end;
- a second end;
- a front side;
- a rear side;
- at least one sidewall;
- a handle section disposed between said first end and said second end and located proximate said first end,
- wherein said handle section is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use;
- a hairstyling section for styling hair;
- a power source for providing power to said hairstyling tool;
- a light source for providing light to be emitted from said hairstyling tool; and
- a light activator for activating said light source.
9. The hairstyling tool according to claim 8, wherein said hairstyling tool is a hair pick, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
10. The hairstyling tool according to claim 8, wherein said hairstyling tool is a comb, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
11. The hairstyling tool according to claim 8, wherein said hairstyling tool is a brush, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of bristles.
12. The hairstyling tool according to claim 8, further comprising a chamber disposed within at least one of said handle section and said hairstyling section, wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for receiving said power source and said light source.
13. The hairstyling tool according to claim 12, wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for further receiving said light activator.
14. The hairstyling tool according to claim 8, further comprising a charging port.
15. A hairstyling tool comprising:
- a first end;
- a second end;
- a front side;
- a rear side;
- at least one sidewall;
- a handle section disposed between said first end and said second end and located proximate said first end,
- wherein said handle section is dimensioned and configured for being gripped or held by a user during use;
- a hairstyling section for styling hair;
- a power source for providing power to said hairstyling tool;
- a fragrance source for providing fragrance to be emitted from said hairstyling tool;
- a fragrance activator for activating said fragrance source;
- a light source for providing light to be emitted from said hairstyling tool;
- a light activator for activating said light source; and
- a chamber disposed within at least one of said handle section and said hairstyling section,
- wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for receiving said power source, said fragrance source, said fragrance activator, said light source, and said light activator.
16. The hairstyling tool according to claim 15, wherein said chamber is dimensioned and configured for further receiving said fragrance activator and said light activator.
17. The hairstyling tool according to claim 15, wherein said hairstyling tool is a hair pick, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
18. The hairstyling tool according to claim 15, wherein said hairstyling tool is a comb, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of teeth.
19. The hairstyling tool according to claim 15, wherein said hairstyling tool is a brush, and wherein said hairstyling section comprises a plurality of bristles.
20. The hairstyling tool according to claim 15, further comprising a charging port.
