BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the InventionThe disclosure relates to sweat band devices and more particularly pertains to a new sweat band device for absorbing sweat beneath a user's breasts. The device includes an elastomeric band and a pair of absorbent pads that are positioned on opposite ends of the elastomeric band. A pair of mating members is each coupled to respective absorbent pads for securing the absorbent pads beneath each of the user's breasts when the elastomeric band is worn around their torso.
(2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98The prior art relates to sweat band devices including a variety of sweat band devices that are worn inside a brasserie for absorbing sweat beneath a user's breasts. The prior art discloses a band and a single absorbent pad that extends beneath a user's breasts when the band is worn around the user's torso.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an elastomeric band that can be worn around a user's torso. A pair of absorbent pads is each coupled to opposite ends of the elastomeric band and each of the absorbent pads is positioned beneath a respective one of the user's breasts when the elastomeric band is worn around the user's torso. Each of the absorbent pads is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to absorb perspiration for enhancing the user's comfort. A pair of mating members is each coupled to a respective one of the absorbent pads and the pair of mating members releasably engage each other such that the elastomeric and the pair of absorbent members forms a closed loop. In this way the mating members can retain the absorbent members beneath each other the user's breasts.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A pair of absorbent pads 24 is each coupled to a respective one of the straps 20. Each of the absorbent pads 24 can be positioned beneath a respective one of the user's breasts 26 when the elastomeric band 12 is worn around the user's torso 14. Additionally, each of the absorbent pads 24 is comprised of a fluid absorbent material to absorb perspiration for enhancing the user's comfort. Each of the absorbent pads 24 has a primary end 28 and a secondary end 30, and each of the absorbent pads 24 is elongated between the primary end 28 and the secondary end 30. The primary end 28 of each of the absorbent pads 24 is coupled to the distal end 22 of a respective one of the straps 20. Additionally, each of the absorbent pads 24 is infused with a fluid skin treatment, including but not being limited to aloe vera gel, to facilitate the user's skin to be soothed and cooled while the absorbent pads 24 are positioned beneath the user's breasts 26.
A pair of members 32 is included and each of the members 32 is integrated into a respective one of the absorbent pads 24. Additionally, each of the members 32 is comprised of a bendable material to facilitate the respective absorbent pad 24 to be shaped to conform to contours of the user's body. Each of the members 32 is elongated to extend substantially between the primary end 28 and the secondary end 30 of the respective absorbent pad 24. Each of the members 32 might be comprised of a metal that is soft enough to be bent by a person's hands, such as steel wire or the like.
A pair of mating members 34 is each coupled to a respective one of the absorbent pads 24. The pair of mating members 34 releasably engage each other such that the elastomeric band 12 and the pair of absorbent members 32 forms a closed loop. In this way the mating members 34 can retain the absorbent members 32 beneath each other the user's breasts 26. Each of the mating members 34 extends away from the secondary end 30 of the respective absorbent pad 24 and each of the mating members 34 has a first surface 36 and a second surface 38. The first surface 36 of a respective one of the mating members 34 releasably engages the second surface 38 of a respective one of the mating members 34. Additionally, each of the mating members 34 may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop fastener or other type of releasable fastener.
In use, the elastomeric band 12 is worn around the user's torso 14 and each of the absorbent pads 24 is positioned beneath the respective user's breast 26. The mating members 34 are mated together and each of the members 32 in the absorbent pads 24 is shaped to facilitate the absorbent pads 24 to conform to the contours of the user's body. In this way the absorbent pads 24 absorb perspiration that is produced beneath the user's breasts 26. The absorbent pads 24 and the elastomeric band 12 are disposed of when the absorbent pads 24 and the elastomeric band 12 become soiled.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
