Latest Neoperl GmbH Patents:
The invention relates to a sanitary insertion cartridge having a cartridge housing which can be inserted in a water line or a water outlet of a sanitary outlet fitting and which has at least one water inlet and at least one water discharge, wherein the insertion cartridge is assembled from at least two components which abut each other and/or which are connected to each other and of which at least two adjacent components are fixed in the relative position thereof relative to each other in a circumferential direction by means of a rotation prevention member, and wherein at least one of these adjacent components is in the form of an insertion part which can be inserted into the cartridge housing or a housing portion of the two-piece or multi-piece cartridge housing.
BACKGROUNDThere have already been provided aerators which can be mounted at the water outlet of a sanitary outlet fitting. In order to be able to mount such aerators at the water outlet of the sanitary outlet fitting in the simplest manner possible, these aerators are usually in the form of an insertion cartridge, the cartridge housing of which having an external thread which is provided on the housing circumference is screwed into an internal thread which is provided in the water outlet or which can be mounted at the water outlet of the outlet fitting by means of a sleeve-like outlet opening piece.
There is provided in the cartridge housing of such aerators a jet fractionater which divides the throughflow of water into a large number of individual streams. These individual streams can be mixed with drawn-in ambient air in a mixing zone, which is downstream of the jet fractionater, of the cartridge housing. The individual streams which are aerated in this manner are subsequently decelerated in a flow rectifier of the aerator and formed into a homogeneous, non-spraying and where applicable also sparkling, gentle discharge stream. In this case, the flow rectifier, which is downstream of the jet fractionater, of this previously known aerator has a plurality of successive insertion parts which each have a grid structure, net structure or similar hole structure with a large number of throughflow openings. So that the hole structures which are provided in these insertion parts can cooperate with each other, and so that the water stream which flows through one of the throughflow holes of an insertion part at the inflow side strikes one of the intersection nodes of the hole structure which is provided in the insertion part which is located at the discharge side, a positionally accurate orientation of these insertion parts which are adjacent to each other may be advantageous or even necessary. Individual embodiments of the previously known aerators therefore also have a rotation prevention member which is intended to fix the relative position of these adjacent insertion parts relative to each other in a circumferential direction. This rotation prevention member may have, for example, at least one longitudinal groove which is provided at the internal circumference of the cartridge housing and in which at least one longitudinal groove a rotation prevention projection provided on the insertion parts engages. However, such a rotation prevention member formed by at least one longitudinal groove can make in particular the automated assembly of such sanitary insertion cartridges substantially more difficult.
Other sanitary insertion cartridges which are in the form of a backflow prevention valve which is interposed in the water supply line or which have a throughflow quantity regulator or a throughflow throttle alternatively or additionally to an aerator have also been provided. In such sanitary insertion cartridges of the type mentioned in the introduction, a positionally accurate orientation of adjacent components in a circumferential direction may also be desirable or even necessary.
SUMMARYTherefore, there is particularly the objective of providing a sanitary insertion cartridge of the type mentioned in the introduction which is characterized by a positionally accurate assembly of adjacent and/or mutually connected components.
This object is achieved according to the invention with the insertion cartridge of the type mentioned in the introduction in particular in that, of the at least two adjacent components of the insertion cartridge, at least a first component has, at the front side facing the at least one adjacent second component, a front tooth arrangement of the axially active rotation prevention member, which front tooth arrangement has teeth, and in that
-
- at least one of the teeth engages in a recess which is provided in the at least one adjacent second component and/or
at least one projection, which is provided at the adjacent front side of the at least one adjacent second component and which is orientated in the longitudinal housing direction, of the rotation prevention member engages in a tooth base between adjacent teeth of this front tooth arrangement.
The insertion cartridge according to the invention has a cartridge housing which can be interposed in a water line or which can be mounted on the water outlet of a sanitary outlet fitting. So that the insertion cartridge can form the throughflow of water, regulate it, stop it counter to the throughflow direction or otherwise influence it in a functionally correct manner, the cartridge housing has at least one water inlet and at least one water discharge. In this case, the insertion cartridge is assembled from two components which abut each other or which are connected to each other. The at least one first component can therefore, for example, be in the form of an insertion part or a housing portion which cooperates with at least one adjacent second component, which in turn is also in the form of a housing portion or an insertion part. The adjacent components can therefore form a combination comprising an insertion part/insertion part, an insertion part/housing portion or a housing portion/housing portion. In order to fix these components in a relative position relative to each other in a circumferential direction, of the at least two components which are necessary for assembling the insertion cartridge according to the invention, at least a first component has, at the front side facing the at least one adjacent second component, a front tooth arrangement of an axially active rotation prevention member, which front tooth arrangement has teeth, wherein at least one projection which is provided on the adjacent front side of the at least one adjacent second component and which is orientated in the longitudinal housing direction engages in the tooth base between adjacent teeth of this front tooth arrangement. Additionally or alternatively, at least one of the teeth which are provided on the at least one first insertion part can engage in a recess which is provided in the adjacent second component in a rotationally securing manner. Since the rotation prevention member, which forms such a front tooth arrangement, of the insertion cartridge according to the invention makes rotation prevention projections which project outwardly or longitudinal grooves which are provided on the internal circumference unnecessary, the insertion cartridge according to the invention can also be made with a smaller housing diameter without the outlet cross section of the water discharge, which is provided, for example, on the outflow-side front housing face of the cartridge housing, therefore having to be reduced. As a result of the reduced diameter requirement, the insertion cartridge according to the invention is characterized by a more favorable relationship of the stream diameter to the installation diameter. As a result of the self-orientating properties of the front tooth arrangement which is in the form of an axially active rotation prevention member, the assembly of the insertion cartridge according to the invention is simplified in that this assembly can also be carried out simply in an automated manner. Since the front tooth arrangement also compensates for production tolerances, a more precise angular positioning of the mutually adjacent components is achieved. This effect can be used in combination with other contours of these components in order to simplify the production complexity which is required for producing the insertion cartridge according to the invention.
A simple and advantageous embodiment according to the invention provides for at least one recess, of the recesses provided on the at least one adjacent second component, to be in the form of a return.
The rotation prevention member which is provided on the adjacent components which are constructed so as to complement each other becomes located in the desired rotation position particularly readily and easily if the teeth which are provided on the at least one first component are arranged radially relative to the longitudinal housing axis.
The self-orientation of the adjacent components relative to each other is facilitated if a plurality of projections which are spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction are provided at the front side, adjacent to the at least one first component, of the at least one second component.
The advantages afforded with the rotation prevention member which is in the form of an axially active front tooth arrangement are promoted even further if a counter-profiling of the rotation prevention member engages in the front tooth arrangement which is provided on the at least one first component, which counter-profiling is provided at the adjacent front side of the adjacent second component.
In this case, a preferred development according to the invention makes provision for the at least one first component and the at least one adjacent second component to have axially mutually engaging front tooth arrangements at the front sides which are adjacent to each other as a rotation prevention member. In this case, the teeth form at one front tooth arrangement of the rotation prevention member the projections which engage in the tooth bases of the adjacent front tooth arrangement.
In such an embodiment, therefore, it is advantageous if the teeth of the first front tooth arrangement provided on the at least one first component engage in tooth bases of the second tooth arrangement of the rotation prevention member, which second tooth arrangement is arranged on the at least one adjacent second component of the insertion cartridge and is provided as a counter-profiling.
A preferred development according to the invention which is also characterized by an axial orientation of the mutually adjacent components makes provision for the teeth of the front tooth arrangement provided on the at least one first component and/or on the at least one adjacent second component to incline radially in an outward direction and/or the tooth bases to decline radially in an outward direction.
In order to be able to provide such a front tooth arrangement on a component which is in the form of an insertion part, an advantageous embodiment according to the invention makes provision for a central axle stub or orientation stub which is orientated axially parallel with the longitudinal housing axis to be provided on the at least one first component which is in the form of an insertion part, which axle stub or orientation stub carries the first front tooth arrangement at the front, and for the at least one projection, the counter-profiling or the second front tooth arrangement to be provided at the adjacent front side of the at least one adjacent second component.
To this end, however, it is also possible for a circumferential external ring which carries the first or second front tooth arrangement at at least one of the front sides thereof to be provided on the external circumference of the first component which is in the form of an insertion part and/or the at least one adjacent second component of the insertion cartridge.
In order to be able to orientate a housing portion of the insertion cartridge according to the invention relative to an adjacent other housing portion or to an insertion part which can be inserted in the housing portion, it is advantageous for the at least one second component of the insertion cartridge to be in the form of a housing portion of a multi-piece cartridge housing and for the at least one projection, the counter-profiling or the front tooth arrangement to be provided on a front edge, facing the housing interior, of this housing portion.
Particularly if the front tooth arrangement which is provided on the at least one first component does not cooperate with a front tooth arrangement on the at least one second component and if instead at least one projection is intended to be provided on the at least one second component, it is advantageous if this at least one projection is constructed to be rounded or angular at the free end thereof.
A preferred embodiment according to the invention makes provision for the cartridge housing to have at least one inflow-side housing opening as a water inlet and for the at least one housing opening to be able to be closed by means of a second component which is in the form of a jet fractionater which has jet fractionater openings, which jet fractionater can be locked at the internal housing circumference of the cartridge housing and can in particular be locked in a releasable manner. Additional insertion parts can be inserted in the same simple manner in the housing interior of such a cartridge housing which is formed from at least two housing portions which can be locked together. It is advantageous if there projects on the jet fractionater at least one projection which is orientated axially parallel with the longitudinal housing axis and which cooperates with a front tooth arrangement on the adjacent front edge of the external ring of an adjacent component which is in the form of an insertion part.
So that the at least one rotation prevention member, which forms a front tooth arrangement, of the insertion cartridge according to the invention is already active during assembly, and so that the front tooth arrangement on the at least one first component moves readily together with the projection, the counter-profiling or the front tooth arrangement on the adjacent second component, it is advantageous for the external ring of at least one of these insertion parts to be displaceably guided along the internal housing circumference in the cartridge housing.
The assembly of the insertion cartridge according to the invention is further simplified if there is provided on the internal housing circumference of the cartridge housing an annular shoulder which acts as a sliding stop during the insertion of the at least one component which is in the form of an insertion part into the housing interior of the cartridge housing.
In this case, a preferred embodiment according to the invention makes provision for at least one projection which is orientated axially parallel with the longitudinal housing axis and which projects into the tooth base between two adjacent teeth of the front tooth arrangement, which is provided on the external ring of an adjacent insertion part, to project on the annular shoulder.
Preferred embodiments of the invention make provision for the sanitary insertion cartridge to be in the form of an aerator or to contain an aerator. In particular, in such an aerator, the insertion parts required to form the throughflow of water must be mounted in a positionally precise manner relative to each other in the simplest manner possible.
Developments according to the invention will be appreciated from the following description of preferred embodiments in connection with the claims and the drawings. The invention is described in even greater detail below with reference to preferred embodiments.
In the drawings:
The teeth 12 of the first and/or second front tooth arrangement 11, 15 form projections which each engage in an associated tooth base 13 of the adjacent component.
In the embodiments which are illustrated here and in which a front tooth arrangement 11 of the first component cooperates with a counter-profiling 15 which is also in the form of a front tooth arrangement on the adjacent second component, the teeth 12 of the front tooth arrangements, which are provided on the at least one first component and/or on the at least one adjacent second component, climb radially in an outward direction and, additionally or alternatively, the tooth bases can decline in comparison radially in an outward direction so that these components which are associated with each other in pairs are always also arranged coaxially relative to each other and locate each other automatically and with the correct angle relative to each other with a corresponding pitch and/or suitable tooth gradient/steepness.
An embodiment is possible, although it is not shown here, in which at the at least one first component which is in the form of an insertion part and/or at the at least one adjacent second component, there is provided a central axle stub or orientation stub which is orientated in an axially parallel manner relative to the longitudinal housing axis and which carries the first front tooth arrangement at the front, and wherein the at least one projection, the counter-profiling or the second front tooth arrangement is provided on the adjacent front side of the at least one adjacent second component.
