EXERCISE APPARATUS
A yoga exercise apparatus that is operable to reduce pressure on the crown of the head of the user as well as the wrist and hands during certain yoga body positions. The present invention includes a first member, second member and third member that are identically constructed with the first member having a larger diameter than the equal diameter of the second member and third member. The first member, second member and third member are annular in shape each having a central portion and an integrally formed outer ring. The central portion has an upper surface that is recessed within the outer ring. The bottom of the central portion includes a plurality of walls forming pockets that will function to releasably secure the present invention to a floor. The second member and third member are placed on opposing sides of the first member during use of the present invention.
The present invention relates generally to exercise apparatus, more specifically but not by way of limitation, an exercise apparatus configured for use during practice of yoga, wherein the apparatus of the present invention provides cushioning and impact reduction for parts of the user such as the head and the hands/wrist.
BACKGROUNDAs is known in the art, yoga is a group of physical, mental and practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India, aimed at controlling and stilling the mind. There are a broad variety of the schools of yoga, practices, and goals. Yoga has traditional forms as well as modern methods and all types of yoga are practiced worldwide. The term “yoga” in the Western world often denotes a modern form of hatha yoga and a posture-based physical fitness, stress-relief and relaxation technique consisting largely of the asanas in contrast with traditional yoga, which focuses on meditation and release from worldly attachments.
Yoga was introduced by gurus from India, following the success of Vivekananda's adaptation of yoga without asanas in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who introduced the Yoga Sutras to the western world. There are numerous types of positions that a user can execute when performing yoga. Poses such as warrior, child pose and many other are routinely engaged in by a user. There are some yoga body positions that require a user to place the crown of their head on the ground which can results in a great deal of pressure thereon. Despite routine use of yoga mats these types of positions can be uncomfortable for users. Additionally, these positions often result in increased pressure on the hands and wrist area.
Accordingly, there is a need for an exercise apparatus configured to assist a user during performance of some yoga positions wherein the apparatus of the present invention reduces the pressure on the crown of the head as well as the hand and wrist area.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIt is the object of the present invention to provide an exercise apparatus configured for use during performance of yoga body positions wherein the present invention includes a first member, a second member and a third member.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a yoga exercise apparatus operable to reduce pressure on the crown of the head of a user wherein the first member, second member and third member are identically constructed.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a yoga exercise apparatus operable to reduce pressure on the crown of the head of a user wherein the body is manufactured from a impact reducing material such as but not limited to EVA foam.
An additional object of the present invention is to provide an exercise apparatus configured for use during performance of yoga body positions wherein the body includes a body that is constructed so as to releasably secure the body to the floor.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a yoga exercise apparatus operable to reduce pressure on the crown of the head of a user wherein the upper surface of the body is concaved inwards towards the central portion.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an exercise apparatus configured for use during performance of yoga body positions wherein the outer ring has a arcuate outer wall and has a thickness that is greater than that of the central portion.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a yoga exercise apparatus operable to reduce pressure on the crown of the head of a user wherein in use the second member and third member are located on opposing sides of the first member.
