BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bonnet that can be worn over a user's hair when the user is sleeping. The bonnet is comprised of a friction inhibiting material to keep the user's hairstyle intact while the user sleeps. An elastomeric member is integrated into the bonnet to retain the bonnet on the user's head. A first coupler is coupled to the bonnet and a second coupler is coupled to the bonnet. A scarf is provided for wearing around the user's head. A third coupler is integrated into the scarf which releasably engages the first coupler for attaching the scarf to the bonnet. A fourth coupler is integrated into the scarf which releasably engages the second coupler for attaching the scarf to the bonnet for carrying the bonnet in the convention of a bag.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
An elastomeric member 24 is integrated into the bonnet 12 for urging the bonnet 12 into a closed condition to retain the bonnet 12 on the user's head 32. The elastomeric member 24 is integrated into the outer wall 22 of the bonnet 12. Furthermore, the elastomeric member 24 is positioned adjacent to the top end 20 such that the elastomeric member 24 urges the top end 20 to close onto itself. The elastomeric member 24 may be comprised of elastic or other type of resiliently stretchable material.
A first coupler 26 is coupled to the bonnet 12 and the first coupler 26 is positioned on the outer wall 22 of the bonnet 12. The first coupler 26 is positioned adjacent to the elastomeric member 24. Additionally, the first coupler 26 may comprise a snap, a magnet or any other type of multiple use, releasable coupler. A second coupler 28 is coupled to the bonnet 12 and the second coupler 28 is positioned on the outer wall 22 of the bonnet 12. The second coupler 28 is positioned adjacent to the bottom end 18 of the bonnet 12. Furthermore, the second coupler 28 may comprise a snap, a magnet or any other type of multiple use, releasable coupler.
A scarf 30 is provided that can be worn around the user's head 32. The scarf 30 is comprised of a friction inhibiting material, including but not being limited to, satin or silk. In this way the scarf 30 is inhibited displacing the user's hair 14 when the scarf 30 is worn around the user's head 32. The scarf 30 has a first end 34, a second end 36 and an outer surface 38 extending between the first end 34 and the second end 36. The outer surface 38 has a top side 40 and a bottom side 42, and the scarf 30 is elongated between the first end 34 and the second end 36. Additionally, the scarf 30 may have a length ranging between approximately 26.0 inches and 30.0 inches.
A third coupler 44 is provided and the third coupler 44 is integrated into the scarf 30. The third coupler 44 releasably engages the first coupler 26 for attaching the scarf 30 to the bonnet 12. Additionally, the third coupler 44 has an upper side 46 and a lower side 48. The third coupler 44 extends through the outer surface 38 such that the upper side 46 is exposed on the top side 40 of the outer surface 38 of the scarf 30 and the lower side 48 is exposed on the bottom side 42 of the outer surface 38 of the scarf 30. The lower side 48 releasably engages the first coupler 26 and the third coupler 44 is positioned adjacent to the first end 34 of the scarf 30. The third coupler 44 may comprise a snap, a magnet or any other type of releasable, multiple use fastener.
A fourth coupler 50 is integrated into the scarf 30 and the fourth coupler 50 releasably engages the second coupler 28 for attaching the scarf 30 to the bonnet 12. In this way the scarf 30 can define a handle 52 for carrying the bonnet 12 in the convention of a bag. The fourth coupler 50 has an upper side 54 and a lower side 56. Additionally, the fourth coupler 50 extends through the outer surface 38 such that the upper side 54 of the fourth coupler 50 is exposed on the top side 40 of the outer surface 38 of the scarf 30 and the lower side 56 of the fourth coupler 50 is exposed on the bottom side 42 of the outer surface 38 of the scarf 30. The lower side 56 of the fourth coupler 50 releasably engages the second coupler 28 and the fourth coupler 50 is positioned adjacent to the second end 36 of the scarf 30.
In use, the bonnet 12 is worn on the user's head 32 when the user sleeps to protect the style of the user's hair 14. In this way the style of the user's hair 14 will remain intact in both style and appearance when the user wakes. Thus, the user does not have to spend time restyling their hair 14 when the user wakes. As is shown in
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
