BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the InventionThe disclosure relates to makeup applicator cleaning device and more particularly pertains to a new makeup applicator cleaning device for releasably holding a bar of soap securely while it is being used to assist in the cleaning of makeup brushes.
(2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98The prior art relates to makeup applicator cleaning devices that include the ability to agitate a makeup brush, but which do not include cleaning agents easily positioned to effectively clean the makeup brush.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a panel that has a top side, a bottom side, and a peripheral edge extending between the top and bottom sides. A plurality of agitation members is attached to and extends upwardly from the panel. The agitation members are used to agitate a makeup application brush when the application brush is moved across the agitation members. A soap bar is comprised of hardened soap and is dissolvable in water. A magnet is positioned within the soap bar. A magnetically attractive material is mounted on the top side and is magnetically attracted to the magnet to releasably mount the soap bar on the panel.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A plurality of agitation members 20 is attached to and extends upwardly from the panel 12. As can be seen in
A soap bar 26 is provided which is comprised of hardened soap and is dissolvable in water. The soap bar 26 is of a conventional composition and is selected primarily on the preferences of the user of the system 10. The soap bar 26 example shown in
Within the soap bar 26 is positioned a magnet 28. The magnet 28 is easily positionable within the soap bar 26 in any number of conventional manners. This may include, for example, placing the magnet 28 in a soap mold and pouring liquid soap composition into the mold such that the magnet 28 is retained within the soap bar 26 once it solidifies.
A magnetically attractive material 30, most typically a metallic plate, is mounted on the top side 14 of the panel 12. The magnetically attractive material 30 is magnetically attracted to the magnet 28 to releasably mount the soap bar 26 on the panel. The magnetically attractive material 30 may comprise another magnet 28 or may comprise a material having magnetically attractive qualities, such as various iron alloys. It should be understood, that the soap bar 26 may instead include a magnetically attractive material 30 that is not magnetic while the magnet 28 is instead positioned on the panel 12. The top side 14 may have a depression 32 therein and the magnetically attractive material 30 is positioned in the depression 32. The soap bar 26 will have a size and shape configured to fit into the depression 32.
To facilitate the attachment of the panel 12 to a sink, a plurality of suction cups 34 may be attached to the bottom side 16 of the panel 12. The suction cups 34 prevent the panel 12 from moving within the sink as the agitation members 20 are being used.
In use, the panel 12 is placed near a source of water to allow a user to wet the soap bar 26 and the makeup application brush 22. The application brush 22 is rubbed over the agitation members 20 to dislodge makeup residue and may also be rubbed on the soap bar 26 to further clean the application brush 22. When the soap bar 26 requires replacement, it is removed from the panel 12 by pulling the magnet 28 away from the magnetically attractive material 30 and replaced with a new soap bar 26.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
